The Midday light shown in from the high windows, as Ashlle Rainier sat doing some homework and snacking on buttered Blueberry Muffins.
The homework was not very hard, nor the few other children very distracting, but Ashlle couldn't concentrate. She knew that soon the mail would come and it grieved her that there was no one but a few house elves to send her anything.
Some times it made her so jealous she became ill at the sight of the way the other children were spoiled by their families.
'Brats' thought Ashlle bitterly, all the time wishing for someone to spoil and cuddle her when she returned home.
She had not even bought an owl not expecting to have need of one, and that made everything seem worse. She looked up at the ceiling and wished hard once again for any kind of family, even a boorish, overly noble, Gryffindor one.

Rose sat at the Slytherin table eating when she noticed the influx of owl. "Mail time," she whispered with a smile. She was expecting a 'special' package from her guardians back in Texas.
A black hawk dropped before her with a pouch tied to it's leg. "Thank you, Deson." she said as she untied the pouch. She then gave the hawk a chicken leg and sent it on it's way.
She knew what was in the pouch but she also knew that she had to keep it hidden. She immediately slipped the pouch into her robes and finished eating.

Suddenly down from the rafters came three of the biggest owls Ashlle had ever seen. They seemed to be carrying a most bloody package. “Wonder whose parents sent them a body.” wondered Ashlle to herself.
But before she could start guessing the owls had landed in front of her! “ Er … Thank you, Owls.” She said confused, handing over her limp bacon. The owls each took a strip and flew away, satisfied with their work. Ashlle spotted Rose and motioned franticly for her to ‘get her hinny over here right away’.
The box was not actually bloody, but wrapped in red paper and a bit damp from the night air, and there for looked as if someone had recently painted it in blood. Ashlle examined it as she waited for Rose.

Rose knew it would be best not to open Ashlle's package in the great hall especially at the Gryffindor table. She motioned her head towards the entrance door hoping Ashlle would understand.

Ashlle frowned and mouthed 'this isn't our package!' but hurried after her friend into the Entrance Hall.
“This isn’t our package!” She whispered to Rose as soon as she’d joined her in the hall. “I just sent that letter a day ago. Those house elves of mine will still be deciding whether to send them one book at a time or to send a package of books.”<br> She placed the heavy package in the floor and looked at it warily. “I wonder what it could be though. If you find a note or something give it to me.”

"Sorry about that Ashlle, I just assumed," she said as she looked down at the big package. "I woulder what in the world it could be, and who it is from?" she mumbled as she began to look for a note. "It may not be a good idea to open it unless we find out who it is from." she said as she continued to look. "Do you think we should take it somewhere private just incase? I mean this pachage is very curious to say the least." said Rose as she looked into Ashlle's eyes for some sign of assurance. "Packages this big are not comon by owl post." she added.

Pipa walked into the main hall and looked about for her owl. she expected mail from her mother; and she couldnt be without it; the package would hold her weeks allowence that she had forced her mother into supplying.
Pipa spoted her owl and called out for it. The owl swooped and landed gracefully. Pipa took the package from her owls leg and ripped it open. 100sickles fell into her hands and she grabbed them up
"Yes!" she shouted "Now I can go shopping!" she looked around and then realised that since she was new she had no-one to go shopping with.
She petted the owl, gave it a treat and then let it fly off. Pipa picked up her stuff and started to leave, her money in one hand and her usually bright and cheerful face now glum at having remembered that she had no friends here

Ashlle looked up. She was sure he had just heard someone shouting about his or her money. She peaked back in the Great hall for a second.
"You shouldn't shout when you get allowance." She called to the girl clutching the box. "People might try & rob you." There was something about the girl that made Ashlle's scar itch.
"You wanna come and help me and my friend get this box to the Library?" She asked of her. If it had taken three giant Owls to deliver it, surely it would be better if three small first years carried it.

Pipa looked up and a smile spread across her face. Someone actually spoke to her! She glanced about, as if to check that it was safe then approached the pair.
"Sure I wil go with you, I'm Pipa"

Rose just nodded in affirmation, as she studied the new girl. First friends with a Gryffindor, and now associating with someone who could undoubtedly be in Hufflepuff, what would her family think.
She pushed the thoughts aside and tried to muster a shallow smile for the enthusiastic girl. “Hello,” she finally said as she quickly looked back down to the package wondering why in the world Ashlle would get a complete stranger to help her with something that could be of great importance. She sighed deeply as she grabbed her end of the package and prepared to help haul it away.

Ashlle didn't know what had got into her. Was it just that the Girl's Slytherin Robes put her at ease or the fact that She was makeing her scar itch that spred her on? Ashlle grabed the frount of the pacage and motioned Pipa to grab the middle.

OOC... Did I miss where she was sorted to Slytherin??? Of so then I need to change my last post lol...
BIC: Rose shot a 'what are you doing' look to Ashlle, as she still tried to sum up the girl next to her. Not that it really mattered to Rose since it was Ashlle's package, but she did worry that Ashlle was too trusting.

OOC: she contacted me Rose & told me she had asked to be in Slytherin. I figured since she's so new she can't be on either side of the Plot yet.
IC: Ashlle rolled her eyes at Rose. It was just a package after all, not a real body. Besides Ashlle wished to know why the Girl caused her scar to itch, not so much that she was forced to scratch, but enough that she noticed. Perhaps it was just because she was too friendly. Still Ashlle had a thing about money.
She’d never had any before she came to MH, but she’d often had things stolen form her and she’d hated it. She vowed if ever she’d had the power to stop people like the thieves in the orphanage she’d use it. Now she did have the power, & she felt the moment she’d heard Pipa shout that now was the tome to fulfill her vow.
Plus the fact that even now the box was getting heavy ….
OOC: I’ll go create the thread in the library It will be called: *the important package
