The wind was blowing hard as the snow fell covering the world in a layer of white. It was cold the kind of cold that seemed to freeze you down to your bones. Svein hated that kind of cold, the cold that seemed to freeze the marrow in your bones. He shivered in spite of himself and in spite of the heavy thick cloak that was pulled tight around his shoulders.
He pulled the hood back up onto his head to shield it from the snow and cold. The wind was biting into his flesh as it felt like thousands of tiny jagged teeth on his skin. He cursed to himself as the cold seemed to be getting the better of him as he tried to make his way to the door of the school. The world was blinding white and he was easily getting lost in the snow.
The castle was coming closer as he waded through the storm. He using his right arm to block the snow from hitting his face blinding him even further. He pushed through the heavy wooden doors trying to get out of the storm and into a nice warm school. When he stepped inside he felt the wave of heat flood over his body, he quickly turned and closed the giant doors sealing out the frigid air of winter. He sighed aloud when he felt the warmth return to his poor nearly frost bitten limbs.
It took him a moment but after savoring the feeling of the warmth returning to his limbs he turned to face the hall. It was a very beautiful hall, dotted here and there with suits of armor and the walls covered in paintings and portraits of witches and wizards. "Wow." was all he could manage to say at the sight before him. He had never seen a hall dressed up like this, it literally toke his breath away.
