There was nothing particularly special in the entrance of the Vampiress that evening, a plain black rucksack slung over her back and her dark eyes sparkling as her lips curved up into a small, pleasantly amused smile. Just as her face was familiar to some, the surroundings were also familiar to her, and that brought some comfort to her weary muscles.
Her free hand lifted up to her face, as she tucked back a stray tendril of hair behind her ear as her gaze moved across the whole Entrance Hall somewhat critically. After a few moments, she let out a murmur.
"I cannot believe they've changed the sconces."
Song grinned to herself, wondering if the deadly echoing silence would be filled with welcomes from old and new, or continue to stay almost horrifically laconic.

The Entrance Hall at Magic Horizons was never quiet for long, and tonight was another night where the hall that so many had met and greeted in, made and lost friends, seen many wonderful things and held so many memories was only occupied by one person for a matter of minutes.
The newly instated Head Girl of the school was attempting to figure out the Hovermatic she had recieved off the Gryffindor house for Christmas, and failing miserably. "Okay one more time," she whispered, pointing her wand at the magically controlled control panel and whispering the incantation which was meant to cause the chair to hover.
"I give up," she sighed, changing it back to manual mode and deciding to take a trip into the hall to see if anyone new had arrived. After all, they seemed to arrive at the strangest of times. However the woman who stood in the Entrance Hall's entrance was not strange at all.
"Evening, Song," Hayz greeted her with a smile. "Welcome back."

Song's eyes swivelled to the figure now standing mere metres away from her, before a slow smile spread across her pale yet somewhat refined features. She placed her hands on her slender hips and raised an eyebrow as she said softly,
"Well... Hayz. Would ya look at you, hon - "
She grinned and walked towards her, her hand reaching out to pat her shoulder in a way that was both friendly and slightly teasing.
" - you're all grown up! And that badge is so frickin' shiny it might dust me as we stand here!"
After her rather random spiel of conversation, Song stopped and looked at her old friend for a moment. Something had changed - something that Song was quick to put her finger on.
Power.
Though she chose not to mention it, she couldn't help notice the way that Hayzie held herself now, upright and proud. Though she still retained her youth and her young attractiveness, in her eyes was responsibility and too much experience.
I won't let it get to me. I'll just pretend she's normal ol' Hayzie, she decided, nodding slightly and curtly to herself. She looked her friend in the eye once again, and smiled warmly.
"How've you been, love? Long time no see."

ooc: Just a quick note, Song... she's not standing, her legs don't work anymore.. long story, chica lol.
bic: Hayzie couldn't help but laugh at Song's comments as they reached her ears one by one. In a way, in fact in many ways, the blonde was a lot more grown up than she was when she left the forest. Back then, her appearence didn't change much past a fifteen year old, now, though, age had taken over and all over again the girl looked more mature.
The last time the two had met had been under interesting cirumstances. Since then, Hayz had become human once again and rejoined her classmates rather than becoming a school outcast as the Vampiress had once suggested.
"Give me a few more weeks at polishing it, and you may never be able to talk with me again," the girl grinned, glancing down at the badge, still not quite believing it. But then another question sounded in the hall: How've you been, love?
Looking down at her wheelchair, Hayz shook her head and looked up again with almost trusting green eyes. "I've been better, but then I've been a whole lot worse, so I'm not complaining," she replied, a smile forming on her face. Usually when Song came back she had some rather interesting stories to tell. "How about you? Been off travelling the world? Seeing the sights? Or just hiding in the caves? It's been ages!"
