Mercury
The bird snapped up the treat in midair. If he could have licked his chops and grin, he would have done so. Eyeing the Gryffindor with one sharp eye, he almost seemed to wink at her. Smart? The Hawkins’ bred the fastest, strongest, smartest hawks in Europe, if not the world. The merlin puffed up his chest feathers in pride. Of course he was smart. Smart enough to know not to go traipsing about in the Graveyard after dark. But what had Aylen done? Mercury flared his wings irritably. He just had to go even after he had scolded him. (At this point, Mercury had conveniently forgotten he had been napping while the message was delivered.) Yes, if he had sense like hawks did, he wouldn’t be stuck in that dismal place. He knew where he was all right.

Sylph smiled gratefully at Aednat and Ashlle. Gryffindors have sense too, huh? she thought. That ought to please some people.
"That's fine Ashlle," she told her younger friend. "In fact I think we should leave the search until the morning, that way we can get more people together and we can get Sen and whoever else needs to go to the hospital wing. What about you, Forgoil, need any medical attention?" Sylph paused, shifting the weight of Aylen's messenger hawk from her arm to her shoulder so he was more comfortable. It helped, but it also made Sylph look like a bad imitation of a pirate.
"If each of us tries to get as many people as possible - but only those we can trust, mind," - at this Sylph cast a dark look in Sen's direction - "and then we can set off at, say, eight in the morning? It'll just be getting light then, at this time of year. Bring your wands and anything else that you might find useful - gods know what we might meet out there." Sylph nodded grimly to herself. It seemed the right thing to be doing.
"I'll help you with Sen, Ashlle, and whoever else wants to go to the hospital, come with us. After that I'll go find Roan, and Sen can be taken to the heads, though they should be informed of what's happened here tonight anyway, beforehand, if possible. Hayz, you want to deal with that? Being head girl and everything." The slightest hint of a grin crossed Sylph's face as she addressed the blonde. She still found the fact that their head girl was in fact one of the biggest trouble makers in the whole school somewhat amusing. Still, she deserved it.
"And after that, let's all get some sleep. The explosion in the tower can wait - it's not going anywhere, and the teachers can deal with it." Teachers could deal with this, too, a small and rather snide voice told her. Aylen is my friend, she snapped back at it. I won't leave him.
"Oh, and you," she added finally, addressing the Slytherin boy for the first time. "Should probably be brought up to speed on what's going on here. All you need to know now though is that the school is under threat, and Aylen, our friend, has been kidnapped. If you want to help us find him, join us here in the Entrance Hall at eight."
"C'mon, kids," she went on, clapping her hands before helping Sen to her feet, threading a supportive arm around her waist whilst still managing to keep Mercury stable on the other side - she could not afford to loose that hawk. "I'll give you some more treats in a moment, Mecury," she murmured, hoping to entice him to stay with her. To everyone else, she spoke loudly and clearly.
"Time to get moving. Could you help me Ashlle?"
OOC: people can feel free to start threads; one in the hospital wing (Ashlle?), one here in the EH - or, for Aylen/Mercury, wherever you want us to be led - and possibly one in the heads tower by Hayzie. *Phew.* OK with everyone?

ooc: Wow I'll have two threads in the head's tower at once o.o -is scared- now how to write that...
ic:
It looked like they were going after all.
Eight o' clock the following morning. If they judged it right, hopefully no one would be in the graveyard which would leave them to find Talon and the others in peace. Though the hope of that happening was very small indeed.
As Hayzie was asked to go and visit the heads, the blonde nodded. "Gotcha."

Post by Sirese Prince on Jan 5, 2006 11:36:20 GMT
Sirese had been watching the girl Sen, the one who had her mind meddled with. He was surprised that even after that she was still angry and full of hate. Somethings could not be changed even threw magic. He looked up to Slyph when she spoke to him and he nodded to her "I will be here, my name is Sirese Prince, at your services." He told her with a small smile.
He found this a little interesting and more complicated then the girl summarized it to be. He looked at Hayzie to see what she knew before speaking "Hayzie, if you want I can perform the spell again so you can come with us, we just need to make sure your sleeping form is safe." He told her simply his tone calm and focused. He knew she loved to walk with it, but this time it was not just for fun.
He looked at the hawk with a smile, he was always good at reading people and he supposed animals to. The hawk was smart and a little cocky to boot he knew he was smart and that was something in it's self. He smiled at the bird "We all need a good rest, all of us I suppose." He said softly he hated to act like he knew as much as they did because it just was not so.

"We'll see," Hayzie replied with a small smile at Sirese's offer. "But for now, I've got someone to go and see." With that, the blonde girl turned her wheelchair round and headed towards the Head's Tower, thoughts running through her mind.
"She's been under my nose all along..." she whispered to herself frustratedly, opening the door in front of her with her wand, the frustration evident in the spell alone without anyone needing to hear her voice.
ooc: Sorry, somewhat museless o.o

Post by Forgoil Halifirien on Jan 5, 2006 14:07:12 GMT
Ooc: Gah…cursed studying for finals>< Limiting my posting time, but this is when one is thankful that they are sick. So now to play catch up.
Ic: Sylph’s words were not a surprise to Forgoil; perhaps Sen would have opened up later, but there was a part of him that didn’t think that she would if he offered her the most generous of terms. Probing into his memories, Forgoil had a vague rememberance of when he first met Sen at the Three Broomsticks when he was just a new student. She had been a completely different person then; what changed her now? Yet the Scottish lad was moved when he heard that Sylph was concerned with his well-being and wouldn’t take the title of leadership without him. “Think for just a moment Sylph; what makes you think that someone would change their mind after they were given a slice of Eden? That‘s what I offered Sen; she refused it and it was clear that she wouldn‘t break like others might have. Though thank you Sylph; for the help that you have given me and if you want me too; I shall lead with you. Just like the two kings of ancient Sparta eh?”
Yet what to do next? Sylph called for action against the Graveyard as soon as possible, and from the looks of things; it was a sound plan. But then that voice that nagged him at the back of his head and the advice from Hayzie also proved to be sound. What if this was what he wanted; to lure out the school’s best and brightest in order to pave his way into the school itself? Though he contemplated more on the matter, more voices chimed in his head; this time voices from the outside that ridiculed him for his use of the memory charm. So what if he removed those particular memories? She wouldn’t have cooperated with them in the first place; so it was better to erase what there was; sparing the girl from serving a master and also saving them. For when he mentioned alleviating the memories of Angelus Morti; that expanded to those memories of her days with the resistance. That meant both sides were at a disadvantage but it was a disadvantage.
Then Roan’s voice came bursting into his mind and it was that voice that he shied from the most; it was filled with such anger and frustration. He had denied her a triumph, one that she of all people deserved and his actions had caused this. Forgoil’s green-grey eyes clouded over somewhat when Roan left; so this was the true extent of his actions; he had only fragmented the group further. But Sylph said that they would lead this together and leaders never lament on descions of the moment; they lament on them when they had the time to do so. And at this point they had no time.
Forgoil zoned out of the conversation for a moment; shadows and spectors crossing his line of sight and voices echoing in his head (though these other worldly things were just his fellow students). He heard the cawing of some raptor, and it was a awhile after that; Forgoil rose shakily to his feet and leaned on the bannister for support. “Comrades, for that is what we have become; comrades in arms. If we had the numbers at the moment; I would agree to a rescue mission to retrieve our friend, but that is the greatest problem that we face. We do not have the numbers for such an mission, and what would happen if we were all captured? The school would be left defenseless to our knowledge and to let that happen is unacceptable. Though you have made up your minds; Sylph I wish you the best of luck in your enterprise. To have such fun makes me wish that I could join you, but it is a bit obvious that I am in no such condition at the moment. My…scars…are the force that decides whether I go or stay, and since they are not fully healed; I am resigned to stay here.”
“Though I shall not remain out of commission; there are plenty of people to alert, train, and I have to go and read up on a few things that might just help us in our fight in the Library. So those of you that wish to go; may your minds guide your heart for the heart is impulse compared to the mind.”, said Forgoil; a smile starting to softly appear on his face as he slowly walked toward Sylph. “Well Skipper; this is it. You know what you are doing and you are more than fit to lead this attack. Just try to bring as many back with you when you first set out. And try to get yourself back as well; for we have lost too many in that Graveyard.” Extending his right hand to Sylph, Forgoil wavered for just a moment, but wrapped his arms around her in a quick and friendly embrace.
“Take care my friend.”
ooc: Once again; sorry that it has been awhile.

OOC: Gah! Post Explosion! BIC: Ashlle replied simply "Of course, Sylph." and she also put one arm around Sen and helped her to her feet. Together they set out for the Hospital wing which thankfully was near by. OOC: This I think is my shortest post in all of MH, please excuse . . . also sorry about the GodModing, but I figured if we're both helping her we have to go together, right?
