Wilting Rose paused, grinning. They had never had a joint award before! She laughed and watched the crowd as they erupted with excitement; anything was possible now! But Rose knew what to do to get their attention back - the lamps and candles that lined the hall with their sparkling glow suddenly changed, flared, into bright scarlet flame. "And now for the Bravest Gryffindor Award!" announced Rose, grinning as the Gryffindors roared and cheered. "All Gryffindors are marked for bravery and nobility, but the Gryffindor truly worthy of Godric's praise himself, is..." She pointed her wand above them all, and the name that came out was: [glow=red,2,300]HAYZIE ROBERTS AND AYLEN HAWKINS![/glow] Another double award! Rose could hardly believe it - on the table behind her, the Bravest Gryffindor trophy automatically doubled itself.

The bravest Gryffindor award. Hayzie had gained the title the year before, but judging by the girl's current state, there was no way she could possibly be labelled brave. Maybe she would have been better off in..... no other house came to mind. She wasn't smart, so Ravenclaw was out. There was no way the blonde could possibly be Sly, someone always caught her out. As for being in Hufflepuff... she could never let anyone get as close to her as the Hufflepuffs were rumoured to be. Word had gone around the school they were like family to each other.
"Just stick where you are, Hayz. Only a year left to go," she laughed, shaking her head. Looking back to Wilting Rose, the red light surrounding the hall giving each and every student a red glow, two more names came from her wand, and Hayz's eyes widened. She had given in to Sealla, pleaded with Fenris, begged for help when she was close to death, and yet she was still being proclaimed brave.
As for Hawkins. His name coming out of the wand was no surprise to her at all. Looking down the table for him, the blonde girl smiled. Without him, she probably wouldn't be there at all. Moving her wheelchair backwards and down the table towards him, Hayz said: "I'm not going up there without you, Hawkins. No way."
And he should know she wasn't lying.
((ooc: someone get him to unhiatus for a post? ^^))

((ooc: Just for you, Hayz. )) The redhead sat with the other Gryffindors, tilting his chair dangerously back and forth, hands behind his head. Grinning, he talked animatedly with the students around him. Many others in the hall were doing the same thing. It was clear that no one was paying attention to the headmistress on the stage. Well, she soon remedied that. The entire room was suddenly blazing with crimson flame. This startled Aylen so much that he almost fell out of his chair. Shifting so that all four legs of the chair were on the ground where they were meant to be, he turned his attention to the stage. "And now for the Bravest Gryffindor Award!" Wilting Rose called out. Aylen roared and cheered along with the others, wondering who it could possibly be. He quickly ran names through his mind. Not surprisingly, only the Gryffindor Prefect’s name seemed to stick. Jumping upwards, he strained for a glimpse of the results. Then he stopped. It’s a double award, and my name’s up there! Catching sight of the familiar wheeled chair moving beside him, he grinned. "I'm not going up there without you, Hawkins. No way." he heard Hayzie say. “Likewise, Hayz,” he replied smirking. Without warning, he grabbed the handles attached to the chair and began wheeling it at top speed towards the stage. Bumping up the stairs, he jolted it to a stop, waving at the audience.

((aww! I feel spechkal! )) Hayzie screamed as Aylen began racing towards the stage. That was highly unexpected. Though... now she thought on it... it shouldn't have been. "Have you ever taken drivers ed, Hawkins," Hayz asked, still feeling jolted from the ride up the stairs." Though I must admit that was a thousand times easier than levitating up the stairs to the stage. "Though... you know I think you deserve it," the blonde almost whispered back to the red head before shooting a smile at the audience, saying: "Thanks again.." out of the corner of her mouth.
