I’m soo sorry to the people who wanted me to write more, I’m just such a lazy ass. Faith inspired me when she wrote, so, here it is… The short 3rd chapter of “My Immortal.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was the same, every day. She felt like she was playing out someone else’s life. Like she was standing by, watching this girl grieve, this couldn’t possibly be her. She didn’t used to block her friends out, add a simple nod or smile to the conversation. What had she become? An overwhelming feeling came over her body, her chest tightened, her throat seemed to close up, and a stinging sensation haunted her eyes. “I’ll… Be right back,” she whispered shakily to her friends, breaking into a jog towards the bathroom.
No one was in the bathroom, which made Kelly extremely relieved. Her hands went to either side of the sink; she leaned over, gazing at herself in the mirror in front of her. Black hair hung in front of her pale features, her crystal eyes dull behind her curtain of hair. She brought a hand to push back her hair, revealing her face. There was an incomplete feeling in the pit of her stomach; she didn’t feel whole.
Out of the corner of her eye she spotted movement, she watched carefully from the mirror, scanning behind her for the body of another. But she saw nothing. As her hands gripped the edges of the sink, she felt the air drop; it felt so cold. Her body became numb, and she finally turned around. Her eyes moved over to the open window, a sunny day was displayed before her – then why was she so cold? She shivered, folding her arms around her form, trying to understand the temperature dropping.
“Kelly…” Oh no, it was that same voice she heard earlier, it had to be all in her mind, she was making it up. Maybe it was a dream? Her life seemed so unrealistic now it was hard to tell if she was awake or not. “You aren’t dreaming, sweety, I’m right here,” now a loud scream erupted from her lips when she thought she felt icy lips press against her cheek, there was no way…
The raven-haired girl made a mad dash to the door, running out, breathlessly into the hall. As her form collided with the wall, she turned so her back was pressed to the wall, and slid down so she now sat on the floor. Her held tilted back, slamming against the wall; her entire form heaving as heavy pants escaped her lips. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest; it felt like it wanted to jump out.
“You’re still dreaming, it’s all a dream…” Kelly repeated quietly to herself, her face scrunching up when she felt on the brink of tears.
After minutes of sitting helplessly on the floor, she pushed herself up, standing on wobbly legs. Her hands moved to the brick wall beside her, and she used it for support.
Still traumatized she met up with her friends, trying to put up an unreadable expression, hoping none of them could see through her façade. “Hey, sorry, what’s up?” She asked them, pulling of her best warm smile towards her buds. She put her arms around Lora and Melody, they were both a good couple of inches shorter then her.
Lora’s eyes held a very concerned look, and the look was responded by Kelly mouthing ‘I’ll call you later’ maybe she would find the courage to tell Lora, she’d understand… Melody looked up at Kelly, “Are you okay, hun?” A concerned frown furrowed her brow, her gaze intense. It almost felt good to know her friends cared, but at the same time she wasn’t looking for their sympathy. What happened happened, there was nothing she could do about it… If only she felt that way on the inside.
“I’m okay, trust me…”

There’s just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears
When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears

When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears
You held my hand through all of these years
You held my hand through all of these years
