A snowy figure approached the lycan tunnels, her fur covered in ice. Her golden eyes searched the entrance..it had been too long... She sighed softly placing a paw onto the gravel, crunching the rocks softly.
Hello? She called softly.
The tunnels stayed silent..deserted...the sound of her footsteps echoed off the walls sending it into the darkness. The lycan shook the snow off her fur falling onto the floor. The icy chill sent quivers down her spine as she stood there in the icy wind.
Hello? She called once more.
She couldn't decide wether to continue walking inside or turn back into the winter storm. The glow of the fire was inviting, the warmth reaching her nose. Sighing softly, she walked to the fire place. It seemed like yesterday she shared this same spot with Sealla, talking about the matters of the clan. Now..all that stood was the tunnel walls and the empty rooms. The wind, coming from the entrance, blew strongly creating a haunting tune. Closing her eyes, she listened softly to the winter lullaby.

(Empty rooms you say? My, you've been away for a long while. We're still here!)
'Hello?' came a telepathic call from not too far away. Peeping around a corner from one of the tunnels that led out from the little fire room, the pup's nose took in the scent that daintily wafted past. The whole place seemed to have the base scent of the Lycan that had just arrived. Something was definately the same between the female and his home.
'Hello?' was her question again. Though he was very wary of strangers, the pup began to wag his grey tail excitedly. There hadn't been many guests when he had been there, but he wasn't sure at all after he left. Deciding that this was no intruder, the teenage-looking Lycan bounded on his flat paws straight for the female.
In a shot of grey fur, he was in front of her, raising his head and ears along with his tail being straight up. There was a fault though, because the female smelt so strongly of his home, he didn't allow his dominance to overpower itself, and so smiled awkwardly. 'ello! He said, wagging his tail again.
Who're you? I'm Sean! Papa's pup! Er, I mean Xavier's pup! As excitedly as he was, the wolf pup leapt from side to side, lowering the front of his body each time he landed in a playful manner. He looked almost fully grown, but he had a long while yet.

Xavier had been in his room once again, his nose stuck inside another of his books. As he had been reading, he noticed his son run past the room through the crack in his chamber door. Curious, the Lycan slipped his feet into his boots, tied them tightly, then creaked open his door and followed the scent of his son. Immediately another scent drifted past his nose. It seemed so familiar. Then the Lycan smiled.
"So...she's back," the elder Lycan mumbled.
Xavier made his way towards the entrance to the Tunnels, ignoring the freezing draft that made its way down the hollow tunnel. As he reached the main chamber, he spotted Sean bouncing around playfully, a white female Lycan in front of him. Xavier smiled, then hid back around the corner, changing into his Lycan form, then entering the room.
She is Morgana, the eldest of all the Lycans that call these tunnels home, said Xavier, responding to his son's inquiry.
The silver Lycan walked up beside his son and nuzzled him lovingly, then looked at the white Lycan before him and bowed slightly, then came back up.
Morgana. It's a pleasure to have you with us once more. I trust all is well?
OOC: Blech...my muse is non-existent today...

Eldest of the Tunnel Lycans? It didn't add up! None of it did! But Papa, didn't you say that mum was the eldest? Questioning his father was what he did best, after all. And there was not a question he didn't allow to blurt through his jaws.
Totally confounded by this information, Sean plonked his rear on the ground to the right of the Lycan female, ignoring the embarrassing nudging that papa was doing. It didn't occur to the pup that Xavier had chosen the wrong words to explain who Morgana was. Who is she? I mean a knoooow she's from here, but who is she?

A slender, older frame graced the side of a doorway, far to the back of the tunnels. Lavender eyes scanned the hallway, before the woman clad in the grey dress melted forward into the form of a she-wolf. Padding silently down the rest of the hallway, Rogue finally saw Morgana, whom she had been most certain she could smell from the distance she was at moments earlier.
She witnessed Xavier slink from his den, and saw him greet both Morgana and Sean at the entrance to the tunnels. Rogue cast a glance at the crackling fire and let her eyes rest there for a good moment or two, taking all the time in the world, before letting her paws carry her further forward, to stand a meter or two behind the father and son. She had walked in just as Sean had questioned Xavier further, and so she took it upon herself to answer.
She is the Elder of the entire Tunnel Clan. Your mother was the Beta female of this pack, basically meaning she was second in charge and very important also. With that, Rogue had clearly made herself known, and with a brief glance at Morgana, which held a rather odd expression to it, she made her way over to curl up by the warm fire. Her pelt was as white as the snowflakes that fell outside, shaded a pale orange in the burning firelight.
Welcome home. Again. Morgana. Rogue uttered telepathically with a plain emotion on her tongue.

She looked up to see a rather young lycan prancing around. She smiled kindly to him noticing his age, not exactly full grown but close. Greetings She said simply. I am Morgana, Elder of the tunnel clan. She said repeating Xavier's words.
'Tis wonderful to see familiar faces. She said to Rouge and Xavier. I didn't think I would have the pleasure to see anyone for I've recieved news of our clan growing smaller and smaller as years pass. She noticed the extreme distance between herself and her clan.
She lowered her eyes, I would like to apologize for my absence. I know in my heart, my mind and my soul that I have not been the greatest of leaders. She held her head high as she spoke these words. I will make it up to you and the clan...I do know trust is not easy to obtain and I respect that. I just hope that in time, things will be back to normal.
She stood up, the fire grazing at her frozen body. Though I know in the fullest, not everything can be put back to normal. She looked at the young pup, smiling softly. The young pups were the future of the pack, she knew in time she would not be here. She would be forever gone from this world. A distance memory forgotten in the winter's wind. And one day someone would have to claim the title, the role, the resonsibilities of Elder. She sighed softly and turned to the two eldest lycans.

Well Sean, I don't exactly recall saying that, but Sealla was Beta Lycan in the Tunnels, as Rogue kindly explained. She was second-in-command and led the pack in Morgana's absence. Then when your mother passed, I took her place, at least formally."
Xavier wanted to say something else, but he wasn't sure if he should. He said it anyway after a brief pause, nodding to Rogue briefly before continuing.
No one will ever take your mother's place in these Tunnels, not even me. I may be your father, and I may be seen as a leader, but Sealla kept this pack together through the toughest of times. That was something that I just can't do, no matter how hard I try.
Turning to Morgana, Xavier nodded respectfully and responded to her statements.
The news you received is not false. Every day I feel the members of our clan growing farther and farther from each other. Soon I fear that I will not be able to hold things together any longer. Our pups are strong, but they still need guidance until they have reached an age where they can fend for themselves. Until that day comes, I'll remain here to the best of my abilities. Recent events have been so tumultuous that most of our elder Lycans are no longer with us, and the pups that we thought would lead the clan into the future may not stick around to fulfill that hope.
As the clan's long-time leader apologized needlessly, Xavier shook his head.
Nonsense, Morgana. You have obligations to uphold elsewhere, I'm sure. In your stead, it is our responsibility to make decisions for the clan that we feel you would make as well. Your inspiration has managed to keep us alive through our various feuds with the forest Lycans, various human intruders that threatened our way of life, and, although you were not there, your inspiration also helped us to survive the devastating attack by the vampires.

Alissa had been in her room attempting to sew a patch onto one of her dresses that had torn earlier on that morning. It had been long ago that the young Lycan had figured out that shortening her mother's old clothes and hemming them, before adding a few details she could find, turned some of the t-shirts into pretty dresses which she could wear all of the time.
Poking her finger accidentally with the needle as a faint Hello? echoed through the tunnel, the brown-haired Lycan girl looked up, but did not recognise the voice. As usual, though, curiosity won over and the small girl poked her head out of the den she shared with Cealla whenever she was home. Listening in on the conversation, Uncle Xavier's words brought back painful memories she would rather have forgotten in terms of the Vampire attacks, but Alissa had learnt not to dwell on them for too long. What had passed had passed, and although it may not have been seen by some of the other members of the pack, she had become stronger for it.
Running back into her room and placing the cotton and needle somewhere she knew she would be able to find it later, Alissa ran her fingers through her hair, and hoped she looked presentable. The young Lycaness couldn't remember ever meeting the Elder of the pack, and wanted to give a good first impression.
Stepping out of her room once more, shyness took hold, and Alissa got as far as Uncle Xavier before hiding behind him a little, her brown eyes simply watching the scene. Sean was there, as was Rogue to welcome their Elder home, and yet 'Lissa couldn't seem to find the courage inside her to utter a single word.

She smiled softly, Xavier, your kindness is comforting She said simply. But it is quite a disappointment to hear that the lycans have been disappearing for the past year....It was probably all thanks to her. She sighed and looked up to the lycans with respect. You all should be well honored to have kept this place together. I know how hard it is to keep the clan as one...and protecting the Tunnels. She bowed her head slightly, I thank you with all my heart.
She noticed the small lycan pup hiding behind Xavier as she spoke. She smiled, it was a wonderful site to see young ones around the Tunnels once more. Hello there She said simply. She noticed the shyness of the little pup, her nervousness to meet the Elder was quite seen.
She was recalled to her journey, the coldness in the den reminded her of the snowy wintery nights she spent in search for....She shook her head slightly, it was all in the past, something she missed dearly. But now she had to think about the future. It was time to become a strong leader, never disappearing once more. It was her time to help reclaim the lycans in which they have lost, to build up the clan once more.
How have you all been? She asked addressing those who surrounded her. You must give me all the details

Xavier and Morgana discussed the slow demise of the pack, and Rogue continued to set a chilled glare at the fire, though her face was out of view from the others, and half under her bushy tail. The tip of her tail flickered ever so slightly with a tinge of some emotion there, much like an irritated cat, and yet it curled around her like a content cat too. Nevertheless, Rogue was no cat, so either action could have meant many things.
Morgana apologised, and Xavier cushioned her fall, reassuring her and explaining his taking up of Sealla's position. At this, Rogue inhaled deeply and turned her head to face them, quite ready to give a low growl, but Xavier gave her a nod and continued, saving his own bark from her bite.
As Rogue faced the fire once more, a cynical look attacked her muzzle, and her breath jutted through her jaws in a very faint, only just audible growl. How she had every passion to rise and contradict this, but of course that would accomplish nothing, and the last thing they all needed was a feud between members of their own clan. Though Rogue still did not consider herself entirely of this clan, she spent almost all her time here, and so it was unfair for her to jeopardize the place she was given permission to call her home.
Nevertheless, Inspiration?..Pah! shot through her mind, though was carefully shielded from the rest of the lycans. Her ears came down on her head and she cast a stone-cold glare at the fire once more, her thoughts now resting with the vampire attack. As far as Rogue was concerned with it all, the lycans dealt with every ordeal as their instincts told them to, not as their thoughts of Morgana did. But this she knew she must keep to herself.
Alissa then entered the room. Rogue did not need to turn, for there were so very few lycans left that she recognised each scent easily. Morgana spoke to the pup kindly, after mentioning that she knew how tough it was to keep the clan together, and protect the tunnels, and Rogue was only left to wonder. Narrowing her eyes on the fire, she paused in thought, once, twice, before rising heatedly and heading for the tunnel entrance. She made no effort to answer Morgana's words, and with not even a glance over her shoulder she slipped through the entrance and left.
Insecurities hit her. Here she had a family, and a home. How was she to stay here if she held resentment to the clan leader? Rogue silently knew, but hated to admit, that she only grew bitter toward Morgana because she did not want to lose the tunnel family and home completely. She had had enough of that in her life, and perhaps it was selfish, but it was all Rogue knew.
