Destiny cowered in the corner of the chamber in the tunnels that she and Faith had slept in. The little pup sat hunched up; she looked like nothing more than a white-silver ball of fluff.
She'd found out that her new mother had died. Faith and Destiny had had so little time together, however already the little pup had grown to love Faith as her mother, and was pining for her. Faith saved Destiny in so many ways.
Looking around the room there were so many reminders of Faith: the ruffled bed covers, the clothes strewn on the floor, and the beautiful scent that hung in the air. All evoked happy memories which saddened the pup.
Mommy...I need you came the little telepathic whimper, as Destiny collapsed to the floor and curled herself up into a ball.

Rogue had been on her way outside for a well-needed hunt, when she caught the all-too-familiar air of sadness swimming through the tunnels again. Hanging her snow-white head low, she she-wolf sniffed the earth and her lilac eyes came to rest on the half-open door of Faith's den. A child's telepathic voice broke Rogue's mind, and she paused in her walk.
Mommy...I need you
Being so used to her own pups calling such things, Rogue's automatic instinct was to investigate. Poking her muzzle past the door, she pushed it open, and spotted the small form of a little snow-white pup, as white as herself, though much, much more distraught.
Rogue tilted her head to the side and pity immediately encircled her irises, she didn't understand why the dear pup was so sad, nor had she ever met this pup before. But slowly, Rogue came to note that she was in Faith's den, and something seemed out of place, or missing, and that was Faith.
Frowning to herself, and biting back to hurdle of worry that twisted her gut in painful knots, the she-wolf padded over to the little dear and dropped to sit next to her. With a mother's touch, she nudged the pup gently in the side, then ran her tongue over her cheek, hoping the pup would accept the comfort.
What's wrong little one?

OOC: sense noone will join mine I will join yours Chance had been hunting the long tunnels for field mice that would be looking for a nice warm place. He had already even at a young age learned to hunt small game. He was rarely seen by anyone save Rogue and his siblings. He had been passing by when he saw his mother she seemed to be getting ready to go on a hunt. He had been hoping to ask her to go along with her, he wanted to learn how it was done. 'Mommy ...I need you' broke threw the child's mind. He was familair with the sounds of the other pups, but this girl must have been new, maybe as new as he was. He followed behind his mother as she entered a dent hat was not hers. The scent of the owner was female, and so was the pup. She was small, only a little larger then himself, she was as white as his mother. He walked quietly beside his mother was she tried to comfort the pup. He was sure his mother had already picked up his scent tagging along, but the girl he was unsure. 'Momma whats wrong with her' he said softly to the larger white wolf. He stayed close to her side but peaked around Rogue's massive body, which of course was only massive to him ( nice save eh?).

Rogue turned her attention to the side at Chance, and positioned her paws a little further apart from each other so he, or the little she-wolf could take up the space by her chest if they so seeked the comfort. Still facing the darling pup, Rogue's damp nose twitched slightly, taking in the female pup's scent.
'Momma whats wrong with her'
Rogue looked back at Chance and sympathy riddled her lilac gaze. She's upset Chance, now shh, we don't want to scare her, or invade her private space. I need to find out why she is so sad though, and if she has someone to look after her. Rogue told him carefully, keeping these thoughts secret from the female pup.
Rogue felt slightly uneasy having Chance in with her and the female pup as well; for the female pup might certainly react in anger, and run away from them, and Rogue couldn't bear the thought of the darling being all alone, which she seemed now. Looking back to Destiny she spoke in a soft, reassuring telepathic voice.
Please dear, if you want us to leave, we will, but I am worried. Are you going to be alright? Where is Faith?

Lifting her muzzle from beneathe her paws; uncurling herself slightly so that she could look at the lycan who'd entered Faith's den. Such a beautiful, pure white lycan! Faith?! No, to Destiny's displeasure she realised that although the lycan's fur before her resembled her mothers: the eyes and scent said different. Destiny's blue eyes were full of saddness.
What's wrong little one?
Destiny did not answer, instead just looked in Rogue's direction, her eyes however not coming out of their glaze to focus.
Next a male pup came bounding into the room and sat beside Rogue. Destiny dropped her head again: normally she would have been so excited: another pup! They could have played. But Destiny was in no mood.
Please dear, if you want us to leave, we will, but I am worried. Are you going to be alright? Where is Faith?
The words that were meant to comfort hurt the little pup like a punch in the gut. Destiny raised her muzzle to the air and howled in emotional pain.
'She's gone...'

Rogue uncurled her thick, bushy tail and it swung right and left along the ground slowly, she could tell something seriously wasn't right. The female pup's eyes had lit up just a spark when she saw Rogue, but faded once more. Immediately Rogue knew this pup had grown used to Faith being around, the other lovely white lycaness had such a similar coat to Rogue's.
The tear-stained blue eyes of the darling pup made Rogue's heart twist in remorse, she lowered her muzzle to the pup's height and flattened her ears back against her head sadly. The words of the pup made Rogue feel sick to the stomach, surely she didn't mean...Dead?
Though deep inside Rogue knew this was exactly what the pup meant. Another orphan...
After the white beauty let out a painfully sad howl, Rogue opened her paws and encircled the little she-wolf, pulling her close and pushing the bridge of her muzzle over the pup's cheek in affectionate apology and sorrow. Oh, darling... She cooed softly, feeling the tears in her own eyes building.
Chance, she's lost somebody she loved very dearly, and somebody who loved her... Rogue told her own pup, gently tracing her tongue over Destiny's little ears and raising her muzzle to shield both pup's from her own tears. Unwillingly, Rogue let out her own howl.
A long, gut-wrenching song of pain, agony and sadness. Too many lycans were dying, and too many new generations were being left behind. Silently Rogue couldn't help wondering if she was next in fate's line of fire...
