A wand

Judin stood outside Ollivander’s with a sense of infinite possibility swelling inside her. In her left hand she held her new wand, Holly and Ebony with the essence of a Griffin's feather. As soon as she had touched it in the shop she had known it was right for her. It was short and smooth, with a black tip and a light handle. The blonde was staring at it with shining eyes, smiling broadly. This was magic. “Oh, I can’t wait to try you!”
“Judin, you are blocking the door.”
The girl turned her head and smiled apologetically, “Sorry, dad.” She moved out of the way so that he could step outside.
Edward Attery was blonde and blue-eyed like his daughter. He was currently carrying quite a bit of baggage, and Judin relieved him of a few packages, after pulling a parchment from her pocket. “We have to get a new cauldron; there is a hole in my old one,” she informed him after checking the list from Magic Horizons.
He nodded, “Off we go then.”
“Yes.” Infinite possibility. Just a step away.

Starlit stepped out of her favorite store, it sold random objects and trinkets. Inside it was dimly lit and the merchandise was quite unorganized, that was what she liked best about it though it's originality. She wore a jean skirt that skimmed her knees and a white long sleeved shirt had been layered over with a green short sleeved one.
A bag was clasped tightly in her hands, inside it was different things that she had run short of at school. A jet black quill to replace her old charred one, although she doubted that she would ever throw out her beloved silver quill. In another bag there were some potions ingredients she had ran short of.
She walked quickly bumping into people as she went, the Alley was crowded today and it was hard to maneuver the bags through all the people. An especially rude man hit her shoulder, sending the bag of potions supplies to the ground.
Bending down amid the jumble she began to pick up the scattered bottles, and sighed moodily as she spotted a lone glass bottle that had held a think green substance shattered on the floor at the feet of two people, a father and daughter who appeared to be buying supplies for school.
Walking over she pulled out her black, willow wand and lazily cast the spell, "Reparo," the glass intertwined back together melding back into its original form, but the gunk remained on the floor. Hastily she spoke another spell. "Tergeo," the substance vanished leaving the selected area of the hard floor clean.
Shyly she faced the people who the jar had broken in front of. "I am very sorry about that, I did not intend to interrupt your shopping," she spoke politely and formally as she automatically did around people she did not know.

Then again, one step away also meant stepping in green goo. Judin looked up to find the owner of the mess, a blonde girl with dark, blue eyes and muggle clothes. She was quick with a wand though, and Judin stored the spells in the back of her mind for later use. She admired the ease with which the girl fixed the broken jar and cleaned up the mess.
"You didn't interrupt us, really, don't worry about it. In this crowd we'll all be lucky to get out alive." Judin smiled. She didn't care much for crowds herself, finding that the constant noise and the pushing and shoving gave her a headache, but on the other hand the magic of Diagon Alley wasn't quite complete without the colourful people.
