Aidana Hawkins was filled with bitter resentment. She had done her best to save one of her friends, yet he had turned out evil. She had gone into the Forest peacefully, even relinqueshing her wand to save him. Then he did the worst thing possible. He turned Aidana's own wand against her. She bit back a angry tear. Things always had to end this way for her. And if she hadn't lost her wand that day, she probably wouldn't have been able to use it anyway. After that incident in the Forest, she was filled with a new power. It was a bloodlust, but something very close. She now felt as if she would never be in joy or be happy again. Aidana knew that she had to use this to her advantage and get the people who had taken her friends.
Aidana stood outside Ollivanders Wand Shop. This was her first time here. Her first wand had been especially made for her by her uncle. It was an unusual combination of redwood with a hawk feather. She smiled wryly. It was ironic wasn't it that her wand contained the feather of her own personal enemy, her brother's hawk, Mercury. The wand, though, was her companion, helping her in her time of need. But it was gone now, and she needed another one. A new one to fit her new self. She took a deep breath and entered the Wand Shop.

Aidana's brother trailed slowly in his sister's trail. He had no idea what had happened in the forest and he didn't like it. Every time his sister had gotten into something she couldn't handle, he wasn't there to help. He kicked a stone in his path. It was extremely frustrating. Something had changed in his sister. She wasn't the happy klutz anymore. Well, maybe she was still a klutz, but she hadn't laughed much ever since the Forest. He needed to know what had happened.
Aylen followed his sister into the wand shop.

Aidana stepped inside the store, and was instantly blinded. It took a few seconds for her eyes to adjust to the lack of light inside. There was a slightly musty smell, that accompanied old items, and some of the things in this store looked really old. She turned to see her brother follow her. Aidana felt guilty for seeing him like this. He seemed genuinly sad about her. She tried to smile at him.
" Remember our first time with a wand Aylen?" she asked, turning around. " Christmas was fun that year. Ever since, I've had a real craving for potatoes!"

It was dark and dusty inside the shop. It had an interesting smell to it, and it seemed familiar and comforting. Then Aidana spoke.
Aylen managed a smile. "Potatoes? Now that was the fiasco of my five-year old career."

Aidana grinned, happy that Aylen was in a better mood. She turned to be measured by an odd litlte man called Mr. Ollivander. He have her a short wand, which had a reddish tinge to it. Aidana waved it around a bit, but nothing happened. Then she recieved a long mahongany wand. It was beautiful. Aidana could feel that she wanted this one. She grinned and gave it a delicate flick, hoping some sparks would come out. Her smile wilted when Mr. Ollivander snatched it away from her again. Then she was handed a slender ebony wand. It had a certain power radiating from it. She could feel the magical power coursing through her, in time with this new wand. She swished it shlowly and an array of dark green colored sparks emmitted from the wand. She knew that this wand had chosen her. Aidana turned to her brother.
" So, what do you think?" she asked him. She knew it wasn't the generic wand that everyone had, but she also knew that this was the one she needed.

Aylen waved away the last of the sparks. He had felt the magic burst out and then fade away as it settled in. He shrugged. "It's nice, I guess." He didn't know what to say.
