A vacation. Yes, that was just what she needed.
With a quill and parchment in hand, the brown-haired prefect sat upon a small bench right on the outskirts of Hogsmeade. It was just around the time that it was begining to grow dark in the small magic town, allowing the old-fashioned lanterns to turn on and spread light across the cobblestone paths. It appeared that Faye had been sitting there for quite a while- the parchment was crumpled and frayed from her constantly gripping it, and the owl that was sitting beside her had begun to grow impatient. So.... this was how it would be. Just a short little trip.
Sighing, she ran her hands through her hair and tried to rub off some of the eyeliner that had begun to run down her cheeks. Her eyes were evidently red and her body was worn and broken; the ultimate sign of defeat. At first she hadn't known what to do and in desparation she had nearly simply held her own wand to her head. There were so many feelings swarming about in her mind, so many thoughts and so much confusion. It seemed that school was harder than ever and she had a harder time grasping things quickly like she used to. Had her whole life just peaked at the tender age of fifteen and would the rest simply just be a downhill slope?
She had to write something down. Yes. That was why she had brought the pen and paper, along with the owl she had borrowed from the school's owlery.
Dear Forgoil,
I'm so sorry. Sorry is the only word I can think of for now; it's the only way I can even try and express how I feel. The time I've spent with you has been amazing, for the short time that it lasted. I don't think I'll ever forget it.
But right now... I don't know what to think anymore. I can hardly even feel the wind as it bites at my back right now; for there is nothing but this awful numbness biting at my heart instead. How can one survive in such a cruel and disappointing world? I don't see how... I can't see how. There's beauty, but with it also must come pain.
I'll be going away for a bit. I can't stay here any longer; I can't live like this. Wyl will manage the common room while I'm gone, for I don't think I will be away too long. Feel however you like in this time. All I wish for is your happiness.
Farewell.

Shivering, she folded the parchment in half and then closed her eyes, pressing her lips to the paper. She held in that position for what felt like an eternity, allowing what tears fell to grace the ground willingly. Now she kept nothing inside and gave no feeling of sorrow or disappointment up- everything was free and visable for all the world to see. This was who she had become. This was who she would remain.
"Here." She managed to croak before clearing her throat and handing the now rolled up paper to the owl. "Forgoil Halifirien." The bird just clucked once and then rolled it's eyes, obviously annoyed from being kept waiting for so long. Faye was careful to tie it gently around it's leg before setting the bird free, watching it fly back through the darkness to Magic Horizons.
Picking up her bag, she stuck out her wand and wasn't the least bit suprised when the Knight Bus showed up almost instantly. Igorning and refusing to make eye contact with both the driver and the conductor, she climbed aboad and took a seat all the way in the back. Her journey was about to begin.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth.
I will never be with you.
