Silently the girl gasped to herself. Not only was the Ministress stepping closer, but she was from AUSTRALIA. Carmen's home. That midnight hair suited her beautifully, framing her face as the blue-haired girl took Kiki's hand and shook it vigorously. Not once had the girl met anyone not from the UK in Magic Horizons. And now this?
The girl went slightly red at her over-excitedness, and retracted her hand as if ashamed. "Hello Kiki. My name's Carmen. Are... you from Australia too?"
(Ooc: wow. Horrid post)

Hayzie gave a sheepish smile to Kiki. It was obvious that the conversation would be finished later on. The blonde had received the same look before. "Good luck," she whispered as she walked past the blue haired girl and picked up her cleaning supplies before leaving the room. Maybe she would come back and finish the library later.

"I am indeed," Kiki grinned, having been in Carmen's postion several times over and knowing exactly how fantastic it was to have another Australian in a place surrounded by the English and the Americans. Sometimes it seemed like you were one in a million.
"I know exactly how you feel," Kiki clarified that she could relate to the girl's enthusiasm on meeting a fellow Australian, however her smile waned slightly as Hayzie slipped out of the library. She decided she could hunt her down later and turned her attention back to Carmen.
"What type of job were you after?" Kiki asked, deciding to get the formalities out of the way first, then perhaps reminscing about Australia.

Suddenly the blonde lady pushed past the blue-haired girl uttering a good luck notice. Carmen spun around and mimed a 'thank you' in return, then swivelled to Kiki again.
Thank god she wasn't the only Australian! Carmen was beginning to think they were a dying race overseas. "Are there many of us?" she asked delicately with a slightly raised blue eyebrow. Realising there was a seat behind her, the girl bent at the end of her torso and sat down neatly, attempting to not make a horrible impression of herself.
Alright. So they were getting down to business. "Well, I was originally thinking of cleaner, but that is obviously taken. Then I came up with Personal Assistant...?" God this was embarrassing. All attention was on the blue girl, and she hated it, even with her job in Australia in that pub. Sure, she could fake being social for that, but this?

Kiki sighed.
"There aren't as many of us as there used to be. It's basically just myself and a few students who hardly hang around to stick their roots in the ground properly." Kiki sat opposite Carmen and listened to her proposal of a job.
Personal assistant. That would almost be like Carmen taking the position of her secretary, which would be fantastic, if Kiki was totally honest with herself. The secretary who Kiki had had working had resigned fairly quickly after Kiki had returned to her position after being kidnapped by the Vampire. The most recent one she had hired was bordering on incompetence, so if Kiki could hire someone who she trusted to cope with the workload and take a lot of the responsibility off the other girl, soon enough Kiki could fire her if she discovered Carmen could handle the job on her own. And it would be great to work with a fellow Aussie - it had been a long time.
"Personal assistant sounds excellent," Kiki grinned. "Is there any other position you were interested in?" Kiki wanted to know if there was going to be a conflict of interest early on in the job or not. "A position at any other place of possible employment, not just at the Ministry," Kiki added, making her question a little clearer

Though it wasn't really a surprise, Carmen raised her brow in shock. It sounded like the Australians were a dying race! "Who else are there?" she asked, rather intregued as to find out and meet them.
The girl interwove her fingers from each hand with eachother and placed them on her lap, which were quickly ripped apart in happiness. "Really? You're going to give me the job? Wow, thank you so much, Miss Kiki!" she exclaimed, letting a bright smile shape her pale pink lips.
At the mention of a second job, the smile faded, but still stuck there. Perhaps this was a chance to learn how to become a waitress or something, like back home. "Uhm, is there a Barman and waiter at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade?" she inquired, eager to hear.
