Wyl and Lottie wandered through the Ministry, intending to meet up with whoever could give them information about Vampires. Lottie was looking for information about how she could help her sister, and Wyl had decided to come with her. Hand in hand, they'd been given directions, but had gotten rather lost. They arrived at a desk in front of an office, intending to ask directions when the secretary looked at the both of them, bored, and let them pass through, perhaps under the assumption the Ministeress was expecting them.
They arrived, both a little confused, outside the double doors with the brass plaque mounted on the front and Wyl took a breath then murmured to Lottie,
"Perhaps this was a bad idea." Catching the look of determination on her face, Wyl changed his mind abruptly and turned the handle, revealing an empty office. He was sure he had seen some sort of movement behind the desk. He let go of Lottie's hand and fished for his wand, taking it out and walking cautiously around to the other side of the desk.
There was nothing there.

Behind the determination that the young girl was showing was nerves. For the duration of their walk through the ministry, Lottie's stomach had been home to a mass of hyperactive butterflies. Hopefully, there would be someone who could help. Hopefully.
As the secretary let both Wyl and her past, the brunette looked back with a raised eyebrow. So much for security.
Just as the two reached the door, the brown-haired girl looked up at Wyl, and was about to suggest they ask for more directions just to be sure it was the right place, when he opened the door, only to show an office vacant of any human life. While she stood back at the door, Wyl walked in and looked behind the desk. Surely this wasn't the place for him to be thinking of hide and go seek games.
Tentatively, Lottie walked into the room and tugged on Wyl's arm. "Come on, let's go. If there's no-one here, then we shouldn't be here," she told him quietly, tugging gently on his arm again, and wondering why the office would be left vacant and unlocked.

Sungai appeared in the room, golden eyes glinting in Lottie and Wyl's direction. He made his presence clear with a soft chuckle that had no mirth in it.
"Well well, aren't we the inquisitive students?" Sungai asked, taking a few steps closer to Lottie, his dirty white hair moving gently with each step he took, the shifting of his weight creating the movement.
"Now, I'm not sure if you realise what kind of situation you've entangled yourself in, but I can assure that it is less then desireable." Sungai watched the two for a moment longer, then swept forward and with a swift punch to the head, managed to knock the boy unconcious.
"Now, dear girl, it's time for you to come with me," Sungai's eyes sparkled dangerously and he gripped Lottie's arm tightly, striding toward the wall he had materialised from and the pair disappeared, much in the same manner that Adia and Kiki had.

Wyl slowly came to, surrounded by concerned faces. His head was thumping madly, he'd never experienced this much pain, which was rather surprising considering the amount of times he'd fallen over. His first thought was Lottie.
"Where's Lottie?" He demanded. The faces in front of him looked confused. "Lottie. The girl I came in with. Ask the secretary!" A lady at the back who was being comforted by another warlock looked up.
"I didn't let you in!" Wyl propped himself up on his elbows, pushing his glasses a little higher up his nose. It wasn't the same secretary.
"It wasn't you at the desk!" Wyl's head throbbed madly but he still tried to sit up. "There was someone else there!" The real secretary looked upset.
"I was only away from my desk for five minutes!" She wailed and Wyl realised that the witch behind the desk wasn't the true secretary. Perhaps that's why it was so easy for them to get through to the Ministeress's office.
Wyl had another rational thought. No-one else seemed to be kicking into gear.
"We have to tell Claire. Get me to the school, I need to speak to Claire," Wyl managed to stand shakily, ignoring the swimming of the room. He noticed the empty frames of the pictures around the rooms but couldn't recall if they had always been empty.
"Lottie's gone,"

Although Hikalyn's own office was located a fair distance away from the Ministress's, the Ministry building was set up in a way that made it easy to relay important information quickly. Especially considering Hikalyn's line of work, that ability was fairly crucial as often as not. She looked up from her work when a sheet of manilla-coloured paper, folded in the shape of a small bird and enspelled to fly directly to the person receiving the message, dropped onto the desk in front of her and began hastily unfolding itself. Once it had finished, leaving a rather crumpled piece of paper with a hurried message scrawled upon its surface, Kalyn quickly scanned its contents. One eyebrow lifted as she read, but she dropped the quill onto her desk and rose to her feet. The door clicked quietly shut behind her as she made her exit. The journey from hers to the Ministress's office was one that took only a few brief minutes, and when she arrived, the hallway was clogged by a small crowd of Ministry workers. From her position at the rear of the scene, Hikalyn couldn't see what they were surrounding--presumably the source of the disruption--but she waded into the crowd, and once people realized who she was, they were happy enough to get out of her way. Her eyebrows shot up again as she took in the scene before her. A woozy-looking, bespectacled boy that she recognized after a moment as the Seeker for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team was just pulling himself to his feet, staring frantically around at the faces surrounding him. Judging from the expressions splayed across most of those faces, all the onlookers shared her bewilderment. The one exception was the woman that she recognized as Kiki's secretary, and she looked downright distressed. Kalyn felt a stab of foreboding. It didn't take a genius to tell that the problem went a little beyond a bumped head. One thing at a time, however. Hikalyn stepped forward, extending her arm in a wordless offer for the boy to steady himself if necessary. "Wyl, isn't it?" she asked in a murmur, finally managing to extract his name from her memory. "Here, stand still for a second." She lifted her other hand, and whorls of iridescent green light began to dance around her fingertips. She focused the magic, and the angry knot rising on Wyl's forehead subsided, then disappeared altogether. That done, she turned her attention from Wyl to the crowd at large. "Someone care to tell me what happened?" OOC: Hope you don't mind me posting here. I was bored

Wyl was thankful as the pain in his head slowly disappeared. It took him another few moments to recover, sensibly moving forward to rest his head between his knees. He took his glasses off and shut his eyes, clutching his glasses tightly in his fist.
He noticed no-one seemed to be replying to Hikalyn. There was a sinking feeling in his stomach as he remembered once again that Lottie was gone. So was the Ministeress, who they had come to see in the first place.
Wyl threw his glasses back on and tugged at the back of Hikalyn's robes.
"The Vampire took Lottie," He told her, briefly and to the point. He knew that he was dealing with the Head Girl and a matter of fairly high imprtance, and figured that brief was best.

For a long moment, the only response that she could offer to Wyl's candid comment was a blank stare. "What vampire," she muttered, more to herself than anyone else, shaking her head as if trying to clear it of the cobwebs. Apparently the action helped, for when she looked up her eyes were clear and cool.
"Right. Well, I suppose we had better find out who this vampire is, then. Not to mention how he got in here," she added with a raised brow. Somehow, she had difficulty picturing a vampire sauntering casually into the Ministry for Magic, especially without her hearing about it almost as soon as it happened. Too many things didn't make sense. It was strange enough that a vampire happened to be in the vicinity, most wanted nothing to do with the Ministry, and the fact that this one had apparently left with a student as a hostage made even less sense. "And just why this vampire is out kidnapping students..." Her voice tapered off
Click. No, it didn't make sense that a vampire would be out abducting students, especially here at the Ministry. The Ministress for Magic, however... With the attack on Wilting Rose and her subsequent disappearance, the rumors that had been flying around that the Ministry had been trying unsuccessfully to squash--really, it was amazing that something like this hadn't happened sooner.
Hikalyn releashed a sharp sigh. She might have healed Wyl's headache, but she had just stumbled onto a much bigger one of her own.
