The glowing sun sat high in the afternoon sky, shedding light down on the Faerie Realm, a picturesque sight of magical beauty. Some might have said it was sad she couldn't see it, some might have said darkness was all she had ever known...
Juliet's face was contorted into a confused expression, her whispy creamy-shaded hair flickered about her ears and cheeks in a soft and subtle breeze that blew past, bringing with it, the sweet smell of roses, blossoming passionately in the passing hours of day. Soon they would be closing their eyes to seek peace for the night.
The young girl walked slowly through the realm, her feet covered with little black slippers, her body wearing a small grey dress, and her legs slipped into white stockings. She had her arms out infront of her as she walked, her cheeks shifting her expression to a more nervous look, growing frightened.
She could hear the songs of birds in what must have been trees around her, and she could feel the earth growing soft beneath her feet. Where on earth was she? The scent of roses was strong in the air, and since she had nothing to follow, and she was quite lost, she let this fragrance lead the way.
Deep down, the girl couldn't help but feel she was being watched. She'd been wandering for hours now, and it had been long ago when the sounds of other students died down to the collected humming of breezes, twittering of birds, and buzzing of bees. Juliet was feeling somewhat afraid, and more than anything, alone.
Suddenly the toe of her slipper seemed to miss a step, and she cried out in surprise as she tumbled forward and landed in a small stream. Panicking she scrambled to one side, luckily finding the bank, and crawled out onto the shore, soaked with dirty hands and knees. She shivered at the icy cold of the water and sneezed, then her finger touched something soft.
She picked up a small something, unknown to her it was merely a rose petal, and she held it to her nose, smiling weakly at the ounce of reassurance this little object gave her. Rubbing her finger over it's velvety surface she sat down and hugged her knees, looking around aimlessly with a lost look on her pale face.
Her faded eyes blinked, and in between her two fingers, the rose petal stayed. Once again, Juliet was lost, and alone...
