Uppity would be the best way to describe the previous year. The number of times Amber Waters had been called away from school could not be counted on two hands alone, but now she was back in time to catch the last of the January sales in the quaint village of Hogsmeade. How she loved the village.
Pulling her strawberry blonde hair out of her face and readjusting her hand on the paper bags she was carrying, Amber looked around and considered where she could go next. During thoe few seconds, however, a cold gust of wind swept her hair back in front of her hair and left tingles running down her spine.
"Time for a coffee stop I feel, Amber," the girl told herself, running over to a small coffee shop as fast as her stiletto heeled boots would allow her. Stepping into the shop, Amber smiled slightly to the other customers and sat down at a table, pulling her almost knee length skirt down as to not crease it before ordering a latte.
When it arrived, Amber blew gently on it to cool it down and daydreamed out of the window. Over the last few weeks, her lectures had been upped a lot, and considering she was to leave Magic Horizons in eighteen months and resume her role where she had left off, Amberley's parents were more determined than ever to turn her into the Princess she had been so reluctant to be. How the Slytherin longed to simply be normal, something which only Mina had ever seemed to understand.
The tall girl wondered if she would see her old friend on what would likely be a fleeting visit. Alder had most definitely gone for good, but Mina she had heard nothing off for a long while.
Sitting back in the comfortable chair, Amber closed her eyes and slowly drank her latte, letting it warm her up slowly.
