Cold and shivering, a couple strode into the entrance of a middle class inn at the end of Hogsmeade's main street. The building was nondescript, but fortunately was untouched by the disaster that took place in Hogsmeade a couple of months earlier. Thus, business had picked up for the humble inn and the owners were able to treat themselves, as well as their gusts, to finer surroundings, atmosphere, and rooming.
Entering was the inn's two newest guests. A dissheveled but not neccissarily scruffy young man with dirty blonde hair, glasses resting halfway down the bridge of his nose, and a gray sweater with blue jeans. And walking hand in hand with him, was an even moreso dissheveled woman, with her beauty still redeeming her torn apparel by a large margin. She was like a bloodied angel, the front of her dress caked with scarlet. She inadvertantly had aquired a large and form-fitting jacket, reaching down to her ankles, on the walk in town from the graveyard. The boy thought they would draw much less unwanted attention if her colors were not so....loud.
~/~/~
After aqquiring the keys at the front desk, the two came up the stairs and in front of room 52. Sam looked next to him and gave a small smile to the beauty he was about to step in that door with He squeezed her hand, and wondered if this was also how it would be when he got married. An affectionate glow flickered behind his lenses, and he unlatched the door and went inside with her.
(Take it away, baby. ^^)

As Sam guided her by the hand through the doorway of their booked chamber, she smiled briefly, before meeting the darkness that swallowed up everything in the room they had entered. Her icy hand slid up the wall near the doorway to locate the light switch. Finding no such switch upon the smooth, vertical surface, she took a ginger step further inside the room. Even though her sight was accustom to darkness, somehow she felt unable to focus and detect a nearby table with a lamp perched upon it until...
-thud-
"Ah! O-ouch. Dammit."
Recoiling in momentary surprise and slight pain, Amari rubbed her hip were she had stumbled into the table corner. Carefully running her dewy palms across the table top, she found the lamp and swiftly turned the switch which suddenly flooded the whole room with a soft yellow light masked slightly behind a crystal clear glass lampshade.
The room decor was entirely done in scarlet, golds, and creams. The marblized paint on the walls was ancient, but it gave the chamber a very sophisticated feel. A queen sized bed with a lavish bed spread and lots of overstuffed pillows was against the far wall, framed by two brass candelabra sconces. A wooden door to their left was obvious the restroom, and a few worn, but fluffy arm chairs sat near a grand fireplace with a generous mantle decorated with countless candles.
Amari then turned from her observations and set a loving gaze upon her beloved thief as she approached him coyly.
"You have wonderful taste, love."

The sound of the momentary shifting of furniture caught Sam's attention, and he raised his hands towards her almost reflexively. These undead creatures truly puzzled him. If vampires were able to actually establish electric signals that indicated pain, then just how different were they from normal humans?
Relaxing himself, Sam contemplated this question further as he quickly lost himself in a daze. The way she straightened out the folds on her tattered, form-clinging dress, the fabric almost seemed to thin out from where Amari scraped herself on the table. Her sleep-laiden eyes were lined with concern for her bruise, and admittedly, her body almost seemed too perfect to damage. She filled out her dress so nicely that....
Lightly smacking his palm against the side of his head, Sam snapped himself out of his brief trance. One could only guess (or observe) how long he'd been staring. Sam! Stop freaking staring at her. The first thing you should do is get her a change of clothes. Maybe if-
His train of thought was broken when Amari approached him and remarked on their surroundings. Indeed, this room had a way of entrancing him, which was probably why his thoughts had been racing since the moment they stepped in the room. Lost in an endless sea of scarlet silks from the curtains to the bedsheets, this was likely an endorphinal setting for this pale lovely.
"Well Amari, I chose this room with your tastes in mind. I hope you like it." he whispered as he somewhat hesitantly stepped up to the vampiress, her porclein flesh glistening with a moist light in the candle glow. It was plain to see any man would desire her. Sam could tell just from the way men turned to look in the streets, even if her appearance was less than manicured. Any man would give his soul to help her, to keep her as the silvery night goddess that she was.
Blinking, Sam lost touch of what he was doing in that span of seconds. His right hand reached out, seemingly of its own accord, and cradled Amari's neck in his palm. His head tilted, his lips stopped centimeters short of hers. He could taste her breath, just like he did in the graveyard. But he froze, knowing that he couldn't do this with her, at least not just yet.
"Well love, would you like to freshen up in the shower? I'll let you have the bathroom first."

Amari felt so new to everything Sam was making her feel. Innocent in a way she had never been before, and it was unsure territory for a vampiress such as herself. Getting use to the frequent 'feedings' and the urge to tear a human a part for the sheer delight in watching their blood spill had seemed to pass from her with every moment she spent with Sam. Curbing her vampiristic design and scaring away the presence of a cruel ex-lover was only a small portion of this extraordinary person. Sam was a blessing, and indeed very special.
Leaning fully upon Sam as he drew her in to his warm and loving aura, tempting her mouth with a possible kiss, she smile with pleasure as he so politely offered her a chance to clean up the…mess upon her garb and flesh. She had noticed how everyone in the streets stared at her as Sam escorted her to the Inn, despite the fact that the coat that Sam bundled her in concealed the large bloodstains on her dress. She was positive her haunting features and pale flesh didn’t help divert stares either. Her gaze tumbled to her clothing as Sam so sweetly supported her neck with his strong hands. Running her insipid fingers over the shabby, and quite sensitive fabric that barely covered her supple thighs, she sighed.
“Yes, it appears I should clean up. I’m sorry for such an inappropriate dress my love.”

Sam smiled and caressed Amari's cheek, his gaze more or less level with hers. His fingertips felt cool against the girl's creamy, seemingly unblemished skin as the heat of each appendage was absorbed by her body. He didn't retract his hand though, or even flinch. Sam was actually starting to grow accustomed to how Amari's body felt.
His fingers lingered slightly on Amari's cheek as Sam backed away and walked towards the side of the bed, where the window faced. Sam allowed Amari in the bathroom while he leaned against the neat and untouched matress, contemplating the night sky as he stared out into it. It was strange how....oddly invincible he felt, just being alive. For the first time in what felt like ages, Sam was not frustrated at his own human inadaquacies. Not all creatures of the night were invulernable to warm emotions. This girl showed him that even vampires had the capacity to genuinely care for someone, just as humans do.
Breathing a deep sigh, he laid on his back and cupped his hands behind his head, feeling a little more relaxed.
