Snowflakes spill from heaven's hand
Lovely and chaste like smooth white sand.
A veil of wonder laced in light
Falling Gently on a winters night.
Graceful beauty raining down.

It was snowing. Well... not quite snowing. A few flurries fell down to the ground and clung to the prefect's black cloak as she walked into Hogsmeade, her small heels clicking on the cobblestone. It wasn't exactly the best day to try and get her Christmas shopping done, but it was the only one. Her first thoughts upon getting into the little village was to grab a cup of hot chocolate and then examine over her shopping list- which is exactly what she did.
Flicking her wand furiously after the list was initially not appearing, it suddenly fell to the snowy ground with a pop. Sighing, she picked it up and began to skim down it, cradeling the warm cup in her other hand.
Lottie, Carmen, Wyl, Rezna, Roan, Xavier, Forgoil.. She read, hoping that she hadn't forgotten anyone. That would be awful of her. But now she had to think of what to get for each of her friends... that might prove to be more difficult. Especially for Xavier- she hadn't seen him in months. And Forgoil... well, she didn't even know how he felt about her anymore. But she wasn't going to be cruel and leave him off her list- at least she should be able to put up a good enough front.
And so she entered store after store, purchasing items and having them tastefully gift wrapped. Once finished, she had at least five bags and was struggling to carry them all. And she was hungry. Quite hungry. So she bumbled over to a small cafe hidden in the corner of the village, small and probably unnoticed by most. Upon sitting down, she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of hot soup- the perfect meal for a snowy afternoon.
While waiting for her food to come, she happened to look out the window- the snow had started to fall harder. She began to realize that it was growing dark as well, and that she might not make it back through the snow if she waited much longer. However, the idea of food was too powerful and she was too hungry. While the rest of the cafe began to quickly empty, only the lone prefect remained.
Giving magic to the lifeless ground.
Each snowflake like a falling star
Smiling beauty that's spun afar.
Till earth is dressed in a robe of white
Unspoken poem the hush of night.

oocl reply, don't reply... whichever. I've heard too many people whine about IO threads, so this one isn't IO. Ta-da.[/size]
