Cristina was walking in the cemetery, not lost at all, but knowing exactly where she was going. She had come to the same gravesite every night for three years. The wind blew through her long black hair and her velvet black robes whirled around her as she continued to walk.
She finally reached her destination and sat on the ground next to a certain headstone whose epitaph read 'Erik Harlington: Dear brother, Forever remembered'
Erik was her brother who was only a year older than herself who had perished in an accident that she shuddered to remember. She had been the only one to attend Erik's funeral scince she had no other family besides him.
She brought her legs up to her chest and pulled out a cigarette from the carton in her pocket along with her silver lighter that Erik had given her shortly before his passing. She lit the cigarette, took a long drag, and blew the smoke into the cold night air. She then took the cigarette and set it down on a rock next to her.
"Hey there, Erik" she said to the inanimate headstone beside her "I've missed you"
But his grave spoke no reply in return. She knew that it wouldn' but it also brought her grief. She then curled up next to her brother's headstone and slowly drifted into a light sleep as a tear slipped down her cheek...
