Now how am I going to get up there? Dante thought to her self. There were no stares nothing no way to climb up. Now would be a good time to have wings or have a person present that had wings. Where did the older Luka get to anyway, and if I'm here am I still in the graveyard? Wow this was complected. She stared at the tree how was she going to get up there?

A loud crashing noise was heard, most likely jarring Dante out of her musings. Only moments after, the faerie burst out of the tree branches. His eyes were open as wide as they could manage, and fear flooded his entire expression. He attempted to land his feet back on solid ground, but he was so shaken his knees wouldn’t hold. He slid into a sitting position, surrounded by the cold snow. His hands clutched the ground as if it were the only solid thing that existed, the only thing that was real. Luka’s entire body was trembling and he pressed his hands harder onto the ground in a futile attempt to still himself.
Clouded mists of breath formed and dissipated in front of his mouth, rapidly appearing and disappearing. He took in shuddering gasps, the frigid air calming him enough for him to stand, though he still shook. Only two words passed through his frozen lips. “He’s dead.” Someone or something had killed the Elder. He had to tell the village. The rational thought somehow made its way into his traumatized mind, and he raced towards the village, temporarily forgetting he could fly. He stumbled several times in his desperation to warn the town, slipping and sliding on the icy path. Not that it would have mattered. The village’s fate had been sealed.

Dante followed Luka, he seemed so upset what had been up there to scare him like that. She followed him. He seemed so very afraid. He was so fast, he was heading to the village. "Luka!" She called out forgetting that he couldn't hear her. She hoped to understand him, but if she couldn't find him what was the point. She found him some what hasseled. She wanted so much to help him to reach out and comfort him but he couldn't he wouldn't feel it. But her heart reached out to him.

The awful smell of burning wafted from the village. He knew what had happened long before the village came in sight. There was no sound except for the constant crackling of the fire and the occasional crash from a collapsing building. All life had been wiped out. All except one.
The faerie slumped to the ground. The screams of pain and fear seemed to linger and haunt the ashes of its grave. There was an oppressive feeling in the air, the death hanging heavily in the atmosphere. He could picture exactly what had happened, picture every individual death. His entire being seemed to stop breathing then, as if he would die with the rest of them. The grief was too much to bear. No tears sprang from his eyes. His expression was unnervingly blank. Then, it twisted into a terrifying, ugly expression of hate.
And that was where it ended. The mist swirled around the girl, returning her to the graveyard. This time there weren't any empty wraiths reaching to her. Its very ground seemed more saturated with sadness, as if it had absorbed the faerie's story and added it to its archives of sorrow.
It seemed as if Luka had not moved since the beginning of the memory. His violet eyes met the girl's gray ones, searching them intently. "I cannot bring myself to show you any more," the familiar soft voice murmured. "I cannot show you the destruction I wrought in my revenge." He smiled bitterly. "I wish I had seen what I had done sooner. What do you think of me now?"

Dante said nothing at first she just stared. "You were in pain, you didn't....you couldn't have known the wrong of you ways, grief it controls the mind the soul when its strong enough, your not yourself anymore not when it controls you like that, you're a beast who's one mission in life is to destroy that which has caused you so much pain, I see you no differently than I when I first saw you, I understand you were in pain, you lost everything in that single moment there was nothing you could've done." Dante finished, but she wasn't sure if her words have reached the faerie. In the darkness with the moon as the only light, you could see a single tear run down the girls face. Grief was a monster that she knew too well.

"No," the faerie said. "I could have done many things. There's no excuse for murder in cold blood. I could have chosen not to become a beast, as you have called it." He reached out a hand to brush the tear streak on the girl's face. "You do see me differently. Everyone always does. Everyone always will. As they should." He raised his face to the sky, as if to ask the heavens for an answer. "I killed him. His children, his wife. There's no excuse for me."

"I agree there were probally many things you should've done, but I myself as this shell of a human would have done the same thing, maybe you think because of who you are you should've been in more control, but really he killed everything you loved, and that pain hurts I know, you can't blame yourself though you do, and I am sorry you do...this cold blooded murder was in his fate." Dante eyes closed willing away the memories, they were not needed at the moment. "I do understand though how it is, maybe no on as grand a scale but I do understand." She opened her eyes, eyes she knew were briming with tears, she only hoped he would understand.

Luka couldn't bring himself to look at her. He closed his eyes as well thinking. Perhaps she was right. This cold-blooded murder was in his fate... His eyes snapped open as those words reached his ears. “No one deserves to die, no matter what they’ve done,” he said, eyes flashing. He looked away for a moment, as if reprimanding himself.
“Perhaps I cannot blame myself,” he continued in a softer voice. “But that does not alter the fact that I killed a living being.” He returned his gaze to the girl, his features back in that sad smile again. it was clear that the faerie was not angry. Not at her, at least. “I am sorry. Perhaps one day, you will understand why I feel how I feel, but now...” he trailed off as he saw her grey eyes well with tears. “I’m sorry, please excuse me,” he murmured gently. With that, his wings buzzed, carrying him away. All that was left was a small burst of wind, swirling the remnants of the mist.
