Persephone made her way to the graveyard. A bouquet of white roses were clasped in her hands, and she held a picture as well.
The picture was of young woman, with strawberry blond hair, deep green eyes, and pale illuminating skin. She was smiling in the picture, and by her stood a two two year old girls, and in her arms lay a baby fast asleep. They all looked happy, and so very much a live.
Persephone's own green eyes reflected her mother's. They were both deep, and somehow knowing. They lit up with happiness, and seemed to dull at the merest trace of sadness.
And tonight Persephone's eyes were as dull and cold as they ever were. She had come here, on the anniversary of her mother's death. She hadn't wanted to come at first, but she had.
A cold wind whipped around her, and she pulled her cloak tighter to her small frame. Her long silvery hair teased out of the hood she was wearing. It was an unusually cold fall day. Just like it had been that night....
She pushed the thought out of her mind and found her way to her mother's spot. She put the picture and roses down, then sat on the ground herself. She didn't know what to say, but thought being here would help her think of something to say.

Ariadne had been positive that she wasn't going to come down to the graveyard. She had loved her mother, but wasn't sure if she was strong enough, or healed enough to go see her...and her sister.
But somehow for some reason, she had come. Her hood pulled over her hair and face, and her robes and cloak wrapped tight around her to keep the wind out. She often found that she was sensitve to the cold, and didn't want to end up sick.
As Ariadne made her way down, she looked at the locket held fast in her hand. It had been her mothers, and it meant the world to her. She had no idea why she had brought that with her, but she had.
When she reached her mother's plot, she saw Sephe sitting there. She sighed and sat down wordlessly beside her twin. She saw the picture there on the ground and unbidden tears came to her eyes.

Persephone looked up as she heard footsteps. She could tell it was Ari, but she didn't look at her. She really wasn't sure she wanted to. She had gotten used to coming down here alone, and usually begging Ari to come down with her.
For some reason, she felt awkward, like Ari was intruding...but they were sisters, and this was their mother. They had known her for four years, and had enough pictures to piece togethers the strings of memories that were half forgotten and half distorted by time.
She looked over at her twin when she saw her sit down though. She hadn't been expecting that. She had though Ari would come, say something, and then leave. She still didn't speak though. No words came her mouth to comfort her sister. Even if she did know what to say, she feared that they would't comfort Ariadne.
She didn't want to upset her twin anymore than she already had, but still her eyes were focused on the locket. It was a wonderful creation, elegant and noble like all of her mother and father's things. The locket would last forever...but her parents hadn't.
She closed her eyes for a moment. The deep green was ancient and knowing, and sadness and pain flickered across them. It was mirror to her soul, and the truth of her heart. Any emotion she was feeling was shown there. She had never learned to hide them, not like Ariadne, and wasn't sure that that was a bad thing.
