A New Respect For the Lifeless

[Samantha]

Samantha had seemingly lost a lot of her cheerfulness about life since the news. She had also grown a new affection for the dead. Well, it would seem so since she visited the graveyard almost daily.

This was her new place to think, her new place to vent. It was as depressing as she was and it made her feel better even. Her arms were covered in marks, but you usually couldn't see them. Tonight, however, she didn't expect to see anyone, so she wore a tight, strapless top. And a long black skirt. She wore her long white hair back into a pony tail, some pieces falling into her face from being worn all day.

She sat down on a step into one of the mausoleums. She watched the half moon in the sky and sang a sad song she had made up when she was younger. One that played in her head over and over during the day.

Samanthas eyes moves across her blood stained arms, marked with lond thin lines, and one particularly bad one, was thick and a little infected looking. She ran her fingers over it and winced it pain. This was her new life it seemed.

Fuu frequently visited the graveyard to pay respects to her deceased cousin. It was quite late for a visit but she had a very long trying day earlier. She kneeled at the grave labeled :RAYN: Her fingers where laced and she was praying. Some time passed and she stood up and headed to the exit.

She dusted her knees off. She wore a black tank top with a black mesh flower along with a a black skirt lined with the same type of mesh along the bottom. Fuu walked between the graves looking at the various names. When she was here it seemed calm a serene.

As Fuu walked she looked a head. She saw some one, she didn't know who at first and didn't want to bother. But as she grew closer the moonlight shown just enough to where she could make out the face of Sam. So she decide to walk over and say hello. They had only met a couple of times but Fuu would be polite. She came to Samantha.

"Hello Sam! How are yo-" she cut herself off and took a good look at Sam. She kneeled down to get a better look.

"Sam, are you okay? What happened!? Samantha?"

[Samantha]

Samantha eyes turned distantly to a familiar voice, but she could not put a name to it just then. When she looked over she saw Fuu, she knew her, but not all to well.

She gave her a weak smile. "What I'm fine..." She said slowly. She flipped her arms over in a way so you couldn't see the cuts.

"I'm alright really." She said firmly. "how are you?" She asked her. "What are you doing out here tonight." She asked, waiting for her to reply.

Fuu leaned back and sat on her butt. She still was concerened, even though she didnt know Sam that well. SHe was alaways watching out for others as much as she could.

Fuu slowly said, "I am very well...." she tried to examine her. Both times she had seen SAm she seemed a lot more at ease. She drew her legs up and placed her hands on her knees.

"I am here visiting my coisin Rayn, You?" she asked.

[Samantha]

Samantha looked around at the night and said, "Just enjoying the night." She said to Fuu. She sat there for a moment and decided to go on, not likeing the silence. "I come here to think mostly, I don't have anyone here..." She said, motioning to the mass of graves in front of them.

"No one here, i wish i was like you." she muttered in a flash of quiet jelously. Then she came to herself and regretted her small burst of negetivity. She leaned back on the palms of her hands and waited.

[Samantha]

She was taken aback by the sudden tension in the air. Sam looked over at Fuu, wondering what she was supposed to say or do. She couldn't change anything.

"Sorry..." She muttered, looking at the ground but speaking to Fuu.

Without thinking she ran her fingers over the cuts in her arms. Looking still at the ground. Tracing back and forth the lines.

"No it was my fault, i am still a little sensitive about it sometimes.I am sorry" she looked down. And then back up to Sam, she notice she was doind sothing to her arm. The quietly said to Samantha.

"What happened?" she asked looking directly at the cuts.
