The moon was nowhere to be seen tonight as Adder made her way down the sloping hillside to the graveyard. She opened the hanging cast iron fence and entered among the stone markers. Her dress was long and velvet. It was a deep hunter green with half-velvet- half-black-chiffon flowing sleeves starting at the elbows and reaching to her knees. The top was corsetted with a black ribbon.
As she moved the hem of the skirt licked at her ankles and her bare feet. She walked to a tomb in the middle of the graveyard and sat on the steps that led up to it's doors. The night was silent and dark. Yet Adder could see almost perfectly. She had always had a gift with darkness. It was probably from her family's history of cat relatives. She never bothered to ask about that.
She pulled the lyre she had been carrying into her lap and began plucking away gently at the strings. It played a soft melody she'd learned as a child from her older sister, Kelora. She smiled ever so slightly as the melody harmonized with the rustle of the leaves in a gentle breeze.

Samantha made her way down the beaten path to everything outdoors. Then she took a turn, to a less worn path, the one to the Graveyard. Her feet carried her without actually having to think about where she was going. She had walked her in the night many times before.
Tonight she wore a pair of plain blue jeans, ripped at the knee, with a maroon thin strapped shirt. Her dark attire clashed with her snow white hair.
As she walked further into the darkness of the night, she thought about all sorts of things, classes, friends and what seemed to be lingering on her mind was her boyfriend. Whom she hadn't seen much of lately, and it bothered her greatly.
But once she got to the gates her thoughts were lost. She heard a beautiful sound coming from within the graveyard. She walked through the gates and walked around until she could find where the sound was coming from. She saw a girl sitting down playing. sound.Samantha kept her distance, to be polite. She took a few steps forward, into vision, and waited until the girl was done to speak.

Adder saw the girl waiting patiently out of the corner of her eyes. She finished the song with a few quick plucks that rang out until they faded and then she sat the lyre down and looked over.
"Hello. Come closer... I promise I don't often bite." She smiled gently at the new arrival and moved over to make room on the steps.
