Anna, having nothing to do, found herself walking to the graveyard, with several roses for her "grave" and others that appeared to be forgotten.
She felt rather bothered, for Amadeus had not said anything to her for the past few weeks, and the feeling of dread in the pit of her stomach would not go away. Amadeus' disappearance could only be bad news...
Dropping a rose on a flowerless tombstone, Anna sighed. There was also something else: one that she knew of (the seal was fading), and one that she couldn't quite put her finger on...
Sighing once again, then it hit her: The feeling of dread wasn't going away; it was getting worse. Painfully worse.
Clutching her stomach, Anna gasped as a sudden wave of nausea hit her. A cold sweat began to develop on her body, and her vision began to blur.
Dropping the rest of the roses and leaning on a tombstone, Anna closed her eyes and took deep breaths, refusing to pass out. After what seemed to be an eternity, the worst of the pain had subsided. Opening her eyes, she was startled to hear a voice that sounded dreadfully familiar behind her.
“Hello Anna.” the voice said, cheerily.
Turning around in horror, Anna saw the Plague Demon that haunted her life for the first time.
She noticed five things about Amadeus first, the last being (to her) the most chilling: He stood only at a mere 5’5; he had scraggy, bright scarlet hair; his eyes were black with several random rings inside one another in the colors of red, yellow, and orange; the blood red tattoos that surrounded his eyes, which contrasted with his ghostly pale face, making it look paler; and his sharp-toothed mouth that was unnaturally large set in the scariest smile she had ever seen.
“My dear Anna, you look like you’ve seen a ghost!” Amadeus stated innocently, smiling ever wider. (which was surprisingly possible; he was quite literally grinning from ear to ear.)
Snapping out of her state of shock, Anna screamed “NO!!!”, picking up a heavy rock and throwing it at him, in attempts to divert his attention so she could run, call for help, do something, anything!
But she stayed rooted to the spot, staring at Amadeus as the rock went right threw him.
“Wha-?!” Anna sputtered weakly, slowly walking backwards, “I-I don’t understand…”
Hitting a tombstone, she slid even slower down it until she was sitting down, her back leaning against the tombstone.
“I didn’t think you would.” Amadeus mused, suddenly sounding business-like. “What I said earlier wasn’t entirely a lie, love. I am simply an apparition, a projection of myself from your mind. You can neither harm me, nor I you. Which is the only reason why you’re still alive.”
Looking at Amadeus with an incredulous look on her face, Anna stood up and approached him cautiously, and with halted, uncertain movements, passed her hand side to side through his midsection, making Amadeus snicker sarcastically, muttering in her ear in a mocking voice “What, you don’t believe me?”
Scooting back from Amadeus, Anna eyed him suspiciously, asking “Does this mean only I can see you, or other’s as well?”
Amadeus paused and studied her, drinking her in with his cold ringed eyes, making the hair on Anna’s neck rise.
Noticing her discomfort, Amadeus smirked and said “Only those who have the eye for seeing such things. Demons, powerful Wizards and Witches, people who have been possessed. Those sorts.”
Smirking even more widely, he added with a sneer “Why do you ask? You don’t want people to think you’re crazy, talking to yourself and seeing people who aren’t there?”
Ignoring his statement, Anna asked firmly “How did you do this?”
But Amadeus simply grinned his sharp-toothed grin at her, his eyes sparkling with a knowing mischievousness, and, putting a long, sharp-nailed finger to his bloodless lips and said “Not now, love. We have company.”
(OOC: By the way, CONGRADULATIONS ON MAKING IT THIS FAR!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! ;D)
