The mysterious young man who had been missing threw-out the holidays had finally shown-up again in search of his beloved friend Samantha. His search brought him to the lake, the very first time they had ever met was at the lake. The boys cheeks were rosey from the cold and you could see a tear swell in his eye as he approuched the spot where both of the students sat.
The spot was now covered in snow but his imagination saw otherwise. As he sat down and looked to his side, he saw the girl in the rain when they had met that day and he gave out a small sigh. She had probably forgotten about him or moved on to some other guy. It still saddened him to remember how happy they both were when he asked her if he could spend the holidays with her.
His eyes began to swell with more tears and he didn't care to let out his small sobs. He brought his hands up to his face and wipped away his tears. If she had seen him like this it would probably make her sad, so he held in his tears and sobs.

Krista scrambled up the stairs towards the entrance hall from the Slytherin common room, almost tripping over the last step but managing to keep herself upright just barely. She ran, or ratherly, hastily walked, towards the doors that led outside.
She pushed opened the doors fiercely, letting the wind bite her face and cold sting and redden her nose. She trudged through the soft snow, letting her feet bring her wherever they planned.
Krista wiped the tears falling from her face away from her eyes and tried to stop crying. Little sobs racked hre body. Looking up, she realized she was by the lake, and she wasn't alone.
A boy was sitting down as well, alone, and he looked very sad. Krista watched as he pushed tears off his face as well, before putting his head into his cupped hands.
"Are you alright?" Krista asked, edging forward, and she could hear how her voice shook. She was still very emotional, but the tears had stopped.
She sat down next to the boy and periced him with a sad look.

The boy heard someone run out the doors of the big castle but he paid no attention to it, until the footsteps started to near him. His eyes were swelled with tears and they were not seizing to stop anytime soon. The words of the girl approaching him startled him with a slight jump and just then did his eyes stop flowing with never ending tears. He quickly wiped them away and sniffled a big with a small cough to clear his throat.
Rice looked to his side and spotted a girl that sat next to him. She looked very pretty and it made him blush that she seemed conserned about him. Although she looked very pretty, she also looked upset herself and he thought he heard sobbing comming from the other person before hand. He gave the girl a smal, weak smile and then shook his head "No I'm not, but you don't look to wel yourself miss. Are you alright?"

"Fine...I'm fine..." Krista answered after a long time. She studied the boy. Very good looking...
"What's wrong with you?" she asked the boy and fidgeted next to him and giving him a glace. "You seem depressed," she commented.
She wiped her eyes once more; she was done crying. It seemed so stupid.

The boy let out a long sigh and began staring at the icy lake. It was very cold out and his nose was already red but even though it was cold outside he felt nothing at that moment. "I.... I left for the holidays because of parent's orders and.. I told Samantha, don't know if you know her, that I would spend the holidays with her..." He could feel his throat getting tighter as he was getting a bit emotional from the conversation, "But like I said, my parents took me away from the school for a while to spend time with me."
Right now Rice could feel his eyes starting to swell and his throat was now even tighter than before. He bit his bottom lip and tried to hold it in but he let out small sobs "She... she'll probably never talk to me again..." He gulped and wipped away a few fallen tears and hid his face in his knees which were propped up against his chest slightly.

Krista stared at the boy for a minute. He was talking about Samantha; the girl she had found down by the lake almost frozen down here a week or two back. "
"I do know Samantha. I met here down here as well/ Last week maybe? Anyways, she had almost frozen to death, so I took her up to the hospital wing," Krista explained before looking up at the lake.
"I'm sure she'll understand. It wasn't your fault. Just apoligize, and I'm positive she'll forgive you."
She slid her un-gloved hands over the snow and shivered with the bitter cold. She turned back to the boy. "What's your name? You must be in Ravenclaw, Samantha was as well. My name is Krista, and I'm in Slytherin," Krista said.

The boy froze when he heard the girl talk about Samantha almost dying from the cold. He felt his stomach turn and his face fell pale "It... was all my fault that she almost died..." Just thinking about it was to much for him. The tears were falling down his cheeks faster now but not freezing just yet. He hated the fact that he wasn't here to be with her in such cruel times... the cold he could have warmthed for her... "My name? Rice.. It's Rice." He said faintly to the kind girl who sat next to him in the cold snow.
Rice's voice was scratchy and hard to understand now. The pain that he was feeling now was only from one other time when his grandfather had past away but this pain seemed to be getting worse. What he needed was to see Samantha, the girl of his dreams. She, for sure, could make him smile again.
The once happy and cheerful Rice that all of his friends had seen was now sad. His head started to hurt from all the emotions and crying he has been feeling the past hour in the cold. A the cold... it was like his whole body was numb or something because he didn't feel a bit of cold, only the cold in his heart for the sadness he was feeling for Samantha.

"You don't look so good," Krista said, cocking her head to the side to stare. "Rice," she finished.
Krista looked around her. Snow was now falling lightly to the ground and onto her head. Sh wrapped her cloak around her even tighter.
"Why don't you just go and talk to her, apologize even?" Krista suggested, not knowing what this comment could strike up in the boy. "I'm sure you could find her somewhere."
