Kaeli wandered down to the lake after talking to the others in the main entrance. She set her bag down next to a large rock and slowly climbed up on top of it with her tiny body. I should eat soon.., she thought to herself and she layed down and looked up at the stars. She pushed her hair out of her face and out of the way. She wrapped her arms around herself and sighed. Slowly, memories of her past started going through her mind.
"No mom! Please don't," the girl begged as she held her arms in front of her. Her mom was moving towards her with a knife in her hand. "Mom! Please! Don't!" Tears were running down her face and her mom was smirking. Suddenly, her mom started running and the gril felt a pain in her stomach. "No," she mumbled quietly that all she saw was darkness.
By now, Kaeli was full out crying. She carefully lifted up her shirt and looked at the stitches. She covered her stomach back up and looked up and the sky and continued to cry, being unable to stop the memories from coming, or the tears.

Persephone had a tendency to wonder when she got bored. She would have normal gone to the Entrance Hall to meet the new people, but tonight she didn't feel like it. She felt like sitting by the frozen shore of the Lake, jut staring at the frozen waves. It probably sounded odd, but she had a thing for going to the Lake, especially when her mind was busy, like tonight.
She'd been trying to doing her Astronomy homework, but the stars that shun down brought only sadness. It was a night like this twelve years ago that her life had been shattered. Her parents were murdered when she was only four, leaving her twin and little sister to be sent to Brighton, England to grow up in an oprhanage on the out skirts of town. And not too long ago she'd suffered again on a starry night. Z and Fenris had attacked, banning her from the Graveyard and leaving her and Ondrea almost dead.
The silvery haired Prefect still bore the scars of that night so many years ago. Bite marks from the Lycan where he had ripped apart her stomach. There was the scar where the roses had gone into her arm and shattered it. Scars from people who had attacked her for Angelus Morti.
Persephone wrapped the navy cloak that she'd brought with her tighter around her small body. Her long silver blonde hair flowed down her back to end at her waist. Her small body looked fragile, and she looked way to young. At only five foot, she gave off the impression of being so much younger than sixteen. Her emerald eyes were large and she looked innocent. Under the innocent was wisdom gained by hurt.
She walked on, and where she usually sat, she saw another. They were staring at their stomach, and she knew how they felt. She wondered if she'd be welcomed but she knew the olny way to find out was to ask.
"Mind if I join you?" She called out from the ground to the top of the rock.

Kaeli quickly looked up when she heard someone talk. She wiped her eyes and wrapped her arms around her stomach. They, she looked down at the girl that had said something.
"Um, sure, you can join me," she answered in a small voice.
Why's everyone here so nice and want to be around others all the time. It's so different then from before. It's weird talking again.
Kaeli had been talking in a small voice since she arrived and didn't say much because she wasn't used to talking or being around people. When someone was around, usually she felt trapped and like they wanted something from her. She shrugged off those feelings today and hoped everything would work out. Not wanting to have a life like before, she smiled slightly at the person.
"I'm Kaeli." Looking around to see if anyone else was around, she shifted on the rock, almost falling off, but catching herself at the last minute.

Persephone watched as thoughts danced in the other girls eyes. She seemed confused, but not in a bad way. It was almost as if she didn't understand why Persephone was there talking to her, or as if it wasn't expected that Sephe would care enough to talk to Kaeli. Either way, Persephone was glad that the girl had said it was ok for her to join. It made her feel a little less alone, and she hoped that Kaeli really didn't mind her company.
When the girl introduced herself, Persephone smiled slightly. Kaeli was a nice name, and it reminded her of a friend from long ago. She'd received a letter from her friend not too long ago and it was odd meeting someone so much like that long lost friend so recently found.
"Pleasure to meet you Kaeli. I'm Persephone, but most people call me Sephe."
She sat on the rock where Kaeli had moved over for her. It might have been a large rock, but even the two girls had a hard time fitting on it. If Sephe was any bigger she wouldn't have fit, but if that was the case, she was certain she wouldn't have been attempting to sit on the rock at all.
Her emerald eyes looked out at the frozen waves. It was like a charm had been casted over them to stop them at that moment in time. They were beautiful in that fragile way. One touch and they could be destroyed, one blast of heat and they would wither and melt into the lake. Wither. White roses. Blood. So much blood, too much blood.
Shadows haunted her eyes as she relived that night of horror. So much blood, too much blood. Ondrea knocked out, Star picking them up. Fenris ripping her body apart too easily. Z watching and hurting her and her friend. Unconsciously she rubbed her stomach again.
Then she turned to face the girl beside her.
"It's beautiful looking out at the Lake, even if it is frozen."
