(Cheesy title I know but I won a award for using that as the title for my cities winter parade once)
Aether on the cold stone of the rock that over hung the lake a little his feet dangling a inch over the ice cold water. He was sure glad he was not swimming in that. He shivered at the though of it. He smiled as the snow started to fall again. He loved the snow if felt so right to him and reminded him of winter back home.
He lay back in the bed of snow the cushion of snow crunching underneath him. He stared up into the sky as the snow freckled his face before melting causing his face to feel colder as the water froze on his cheeks. He smiled still the feeling something he remembered from childhood.
He would always play in the snow, a few times a little to much but he had never been harmed in the snow. He remembered games he use to play in the snow with his friend, snow fort, snowball fight, etc. He sighed at the memories as they made him homesick "Why is it no one is in the snow playing here?"

Alissa had awoken that morning to a cold draft coursing its way through the tunnels and wrapping itself around the blanket she herself had spent the night underneath. Poking her nose out of the blanket and uncurling her tail from around her body, Alissa jumped off her bed and onto the floor of the tunnels, heading towards the still open door. What did you leave it open for, Lis? she asked herself, only slightly annoyed.
Padding her way over to the entrance of the tunnels, Alissa blinked as she saw the sight outside. Yelping, she stepped a few paces back, letting her brown eyes look over the scene again. Everything was... white. Cautiously stepping forwards once more, the brown wolf pup placed one small paw on the white covering of the usually green and brown ground and some hairs on her back noticably shot up. "Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold!!!!" she shrieked leaping back and c*cking her head inquisitively to one side.
Eventually, curiosity got the better of her and Alissa stepped further outside, placing all four paws on the unstable whiteness on the ground. Could this be snow? Giggling, as much as a wolf could at any rate, Lissa jumped up and down in the snow and ran towards the lake, knowing that was the most open space the area surrounding her home had.
However it wasn't long before this decision was one she regretted as soon as she realised the lake contained not nice cool water, but freezing cold water, and she hadn't been able to stop herself before falling in it. Even colder!!!!!!! she shrieked, jumping out and bringing herself back onto the ground which wasn't much colder.
I don't like snow... Lissa decided, shaking her body to try ad dry off her fur.

Snow drifts that he would barely walk under that rested atop delicate frozen branches would fall just after he had come out of range, which was a handy thing to happen. His cigarette had already been soaked and frozen enough times for it to happen to the whole packet. The lake, no matter how frozen over, looked hardly inviting to him, having hated the water ever since he could ever remember.
Along with his mother, but that was another story. Having heavy blundies on made the eighteen year old sink through the hard top layer of snow, and so helped him to stick out just that little bit more - other than the fact he was wearing all black, and had chains that chimed each time he moved on his thick pants.
Moving nearer to the other boy without thinking, he overheard the blatant question that he announced to no one in particular. With another cigarette already in his mouth, the boy lit it up, and as he puffed out the smoke, he replied, "Quite honestly, there are many reasons. It would be good and proper to define the question." Though his manner was of the pompous regions, he only showed a sideward smirk on his relaxed mug, the cigarette between his lips.
Taking note of the very silly little wolf pup, Matticus merely averted his gaze back to the boy he had spoken to.

Aether nodded "I suppose it is a blunt and undefined question." He said agreeing with the boy "I suppose I meant why has noone started a snowball fight or anything of that nature."
Aether could not stop himself from laughing as the wolf fell into the ice cold water. "Hey snow makes the water really cold." He said with a smile. He stood up and walked toward the wolf "So I take it you have never seen snow before." He said with a smile hearing her mental message, he had excepted it on a level he figured she was a lycan. "My name s Aether Animus" He said with a smile to her kneeling in the snow.
"The snow is fun once you get use to it." He picked up a handful and tossed it into the air it coming down around them. "It reminds me of home, snow is so peaceful." He said to her with a smile "Whats your name by the way?"

He could have cared less about the little pup that had so graciously fallen into the water, and so made it apparant by merely ignoring her. Taking in another puff of his delighted cigarette, he stared down at the boy, who had kneeled with the pup, as if to show utter disgust at associating with animals. In all truth though, it was hardly the case. He breathed out that killing air, and continued to watch after saying, "It is obvious that people don't like the cold, especially on an advanced day such as this."
Being under a thick, heavy leather coat did have its advantages when it came to winter. He brought his hand up from inside one of the pockets the said coat had and grasped the cigarette with his thumb and forefinger, flicking the end to make the extended ash fall into the snow beside his feet.

Alissa tried to turn her head enough so she could see the little balls of snow falling around her, some landing on her fur and making it sparkle like glitter. Turning her head again and almost stumbling, Lissa looked back forwards. There were two of them, the black haired one was one she had not noticed before.
Uh oh Lissa gulped, taking a few steps backwards. She had been warned not to go near the students, and now here she was with only them for company. Looking to the boy who had adressed her, the brown wolf pup replied: "I'm A-a-Alissa," uncertainly, her brown eyes watching the pair. Were the students really as bad as some made out?
As the black haired boy dropped something to the floor, curiosity again grasped her and she stepped forwards, sniffing what he had dropped before jumping back in distaste. That's horrible! she called out, looking between the two again.

"Thats a cigarette it is not healthy for you but some like them." He explained to her "I take it your a lycan." He said simply "Please to meet you Alissa." He said with a smile to comfort her as she sounded nervous and a little scared. "Nothing to be scared of here Alissa we will not hurt you I promise." He said with a smile.
"So how old are you?" He ask her thinking of something he had read int he library about Lycan pups being able to take on the form of a young teen when they reached a certain age, to avoid detection. "I only ask because you clearly do not know what snow is and well that means your younger then a year.".

Indeed, some did like them. Some, like him, loved them, thrived on them, died from them. But either way, they were his substitution for the occasional smoke of another, illegal drug. And though he was old enough to buy the cigarettes legally, there was no way around buying other illicit drugs without doing it behind the law's back.
"You may not harm her," Matticus began darkly, again flicking the smoke in his hand, "but I won't hide the fact that I might." And at that, a malicious sneer formed over his lips, countering the previous thoughts of merely ignoring the little thing. With the lighter at hand, he flicked it warningly.
The time at this school would be fun, until he was to be kicked out, once again. But he didn't care. Matticus spent more time being thrown from school to school than actually being in them, much to his dear mother's dismay.

He looked at the boy for a moment "He is saying that because your showing fear." He s aid to Alissa still looking at the boy "You have hunted I take it, what do you feel when a animal like a rabbit or such shows fear." He ask her knowing this was the best way to explain his point to the female pup "Also, Lycans are immortal and they are many times stronger then humans, if she wanted to she could tear both our throats out in this form or toss us halfway across the lake in human form." He informed the boy.
He hated people like that people who tried to act so tough and hard. He was sure when the chips where down this kid would be the one crying for his mommy. He smirked at that letting the girl see the mental images of this, perhaps she would find it funny as well. He has some experence with Telepathic beings his grandmother being one after all a trait he hates sometimes.

He could have chuckled at the assumption made from the - clearly delusional - boy. "Oh, you think that is why I say it?" He asked. It was obvious that Matticus knew what the little wolf pup was, but quite possibly not to the boy. After all, he had made the conclusion that this school was for the dim-witted - a last resort from the mother-dear.
"As you have so kindly stated," he began, grabbing the little girl by the scruff of her neck in one hand, "she must be only a year old. No Lycan at the age of one year can do the things you describe." His words said, the boy tightened his grip on the fold of skin he was holding on to, close to drawing blood, but soon enough he loosened the grip.
Only to regain it by wrapping his hand around her throat.

The wand moved in a fluid motion as the a bright flash sprouted from the boy's wand sending the goth punk back wards causing him to release the pup "Not smart." He said simply spinning to face the boy his wand at the ready "Accio Wand!" he said to be sure the boy was totally disarmed "Thats was a very stupid thing to do, think about it, you just attacked a lycan a pup put two and two together you fool that means she has a pack around here, is it smart to be attacking a pup like that." He held the wand directly at the boy if the boy moved he would react.
"Are you ok Alissa?" He said softly to the pup ' I am so sorry this guy is a punk and needs to be put in his place' he said in though to keep it from the boy 'Stupefy!' he screamed in thought causing a electric blue like light to shoot from his wand toward the boy at only two feet away.

Oh, what a shame, he thought as the wand shot from one of his pant-leg pockets into the boy's hand. Boo hoo, Matticus lost his wandy. It didn't matter - the boy hardly used it anyway, other than the odd rebellious charm. However, the second spell from him was definately enough to make Matticus freeze on the spot, had it hit him. Poor aiming had shot the spell at his coat, tearing a hole straight through it. Something he would have to repair later.
For now, his left arm swung back, and then propelled forward and landed hard into the boy's throat, quite possibly shoving his Adam's Apple to the back. But he didn't care whether that had happened. Being a druggie meant that one had to be alert and aware of what was happening - despite the short term and long term effects of the hardening illegal things.

He saw him rushing at him and stumbled back as the boy hit him. Stumbling back prevent his Adam's apple from being damage but it stunned him a little. He grabbed the boy's wrist and slammed the wand into the boy's ribs he could not think of anything else so he focused on the thought ''Stupefy! again this time the spell would not likely miss as he used his wand less hand to pull the boy's hand away as he backed up and moved to the right a little in case the boy tried to push again.
He stumbled away after firing the spell at point blank range. He uses his foot to kick the boy back toward the ice cold lake "Asshole." he utter coughing holding his throat which was not red. He held the wand at the ready for another attack this time he would put the boy down for good if he charged again.

Alissa yelped loudly as the black haired boy picked her up by the neck and began to wriggle to get back down to the floor again. Though soon enough, and thanks to a stick that Aether held in his hand, the little brown pup was flung towards the snow and landed in its icy blanket once more.
Shivering as she stood shakily, all four paws not seeming to want to go anywhere, Alissa quickly ran behind the nearest tree and hoped they would think she had gone. Now the brown pup could see why she was alway told to stay away from the students.

After last night's snowfall, the older of the two sisters had awoken to find the ground coated in snow. This displeased her as well as amazed her- the fluffy stuff sure was cold. She decided that it wasn't worth going out and getting her paws cold, so she grabbed some of her mother's old clothing and decided to head out in human form. For the first time in many months, she'd actually brushed her hair back and tied it up neatly, which made her look almost human. She decided to leave Alissa alone and let her get some more sleep, and was somehow able to get out of the Tunnels without disturbing her.
Her little walk led her to the lake once more, but only after tripping over her too-large boots at least five or six times. Her mother's feet had been a lot bigger than her's were now. Maybe sometime soon she'd go to Hogsmeade and try and find herself a new pair of boots. Her brow suddenly crunched up- why was she acting this way? Amelia's old clothes would work just fine. She didn't need new ones. Sighing a little at her annoying feminine desires, she turned around a little grove of trees and suddenly spotted two students fighting.
Her first instinct was to just let them fight- why the heck should she care? They were just students. One of the teachers would probably be down here soon enough to break them up. It was completely none of her concern. At least, it was until she noticed Alissa cowering behind a tree. Her blue eyes instantly narrowed. If they had done anything at all to hurt her sister... well, she had might as well assume that they had tried to hurt her. 'Lissa did look upset, and those two students were the only things around that could have caused it.
"What the hell is going on here?" She said, holding out an arm and stopping one boy mid-charge. The other one looked like he was under the possesion of some spell, though she lacked the magical knowledge to figure out which one it was. "Now, which one of you hurt my sister? Speak; before I decide to make sure that both of you pay."
