The teen wrapped her favorite long sleeved trenchcoat-like jacket around her beaten figure, and blew some strands of fringe from her eyes. The fourteen year old's legs, covered with a pair of sweats underneath a pair of old jeans, were shaking and shivering with the cold. She looked out with her expressive brown eyes and spotted dozens of couples, along with groups of friends huddled close, laughing jovially and some carolers. Her stomach flipped and her face fell, then her chocolate irises fell to look at her faded blue cross trainers. Her medium length, thicker than normal brown locks fluttered to the side in the breeze that passed. However, most of the little groups of people wandered off, seeing as sunset was nearing.
The saddened girl started on her walk once again, going slowly 'round the huge mass of water that was the Magic Horizons lake. Her teeth quietly chattered and small puffs of white breath emitted from her quivering lips every few seconds. Her hair covered her rosy cheeks while she slowed to a stop once more. Her head tilted up and looked out onto the Lake and sunset. her voice came out as a hushed whisper and could be heard at the farthest reaches of the Lake, or maybe just to herself she didn't know, or care. But as she saw that gorgeous golden sun, and the purple, pink, and orange coloured sky, the sunset at the beach in California hit her brain and then the image of her Dad. Her Dad died two months ago yesterday--October 10th. As her voice and lips worked together to form the words she was so focused on singing, her heart fell to her ankles. mentally dedicating the melancholic ballad to her father.
"Amazing Grace,
how sweet the sound
that saved a wretch like me~...
I once was lost
but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see...
I once was lost
but now am found;
Was blind, but now
I see~..."
That heartbroken figure felt the hot tears slide rapidly down her cheeks, despite the cold weather. That depressed, heartfelt whisper of song floated in the air as the world, her world, froze. As she closed those brown portals to her soul: she knew.
...I have nothing for Christmas...
(OOC: Yes, I realise this post goes against me being "gone", as one of Miss Roan's did, but, as she, I'm bored and needed to get feelings out on paper... er, computer screen. Thank ye. *bows*)
