Ark stood onk the banks of the Lake, his short blade glinting with the light of the moon. Tonight, he will pay for his crimes with blood. The blade was spelled to prevent magical healing, so his pain would not be shortened. He slid the sharpened knife down his arms and legs, cutting just deep enough for the blood to spill over, damping the ground with his pain.
But his payment did not end there. Not by a long shot. Ark knifed a deep gash in his cheek, most assuredly leaving a scar.
But it didnt even in there. Lastly, Ark stabbed his stomach, then dragged the knife across, nearly commiting hara-kiri. He gasped and dropped the knife, falling back to the soft earth.

The light of the moon wove its way through the trees at the edge of the forest near the lake. Mysterious shadows appeared behind the majestic oaks keeping secrets, mysterious secrets. A certain stillness in the air permeated around the lake, as if the whole world was holding its breath. A run-away breeze seemed unnatural and the water in the lake was perfectly placid. The water itself looked black, as black as the night. The only light came from the moon above and the few starts had ventured to come out this night.
A slender form stepped out from the dark shadows. Her skin emitted a silver luminescence, heightened by the moon. Her long dark hair cascaded down her back as she slowly walked towards the fallen boy. She had seem him from the forest trying to mutilate himself, and it quite amused her. These silly students trying to waste themselves in an empty death, how intresting. She gracefully bent down and reached a white hand out towards the dagger. Beautiful, red, lifegiving blood coated the blade. An expression of lust came upon her fece for an instant as she tenderly brought the precious liquid to her mouth. Exactly two drops of the blood rolled off the knife and onto her tongue. She closed her mouth, savoring the salty metallic taste. How long had it been since she had drank her share?
She stood up and walked around the boy, appraising him. What fun was the kill if he was just given to her? She needed to have a little bit of fun first. The dagger was of no use to her anymore, so she threw it into the water and watched as it sank to the bottom. Then she turned her attention back filth that was a human in front of her. Swiftly she delivered a sharp kick into his abdomen exactly where he had thrust the blade inside himself.
" Get up!" she yelled scathingly. " You're still alive, you and I both know it."

OOC: Ah. A new Vampire has arisen I see. Intresting...
BIC:
Ark cried out in pain as the Vampiress kicked him. Why are those bloodsucking things always interfering? he thought angrily. "You are right. I AM alive, though that kick nearly ended it. Why do you want? A nice soft kill? Rich, warm blood perhaps? Hm?" he asked the night creature before him. He propped himself up on his elbow weakly, watching as the Vampiress circled around him.

The vampiress looked down at the boy with pure disdain. It had suddenly become dark, the moon being obscured by a large cloud. The light that had reflected off the lake had ceased and even the trees had a gloomy feel to them. Being a lady of the night, this only strengthened Vittoria. Her eyes began to glow a light brown, highlighted by gold. She took a step closer towards the boy and kneeled down in front of him. The scent of his blood wafted towards her, and she could barely suppress the desire to bite him right there. She needed to wait, this would not be worth it if she didn't.
Instead, Vittoria turned her attention to other things. Some things that never died, hatred which had never ebbed and never would. Her scorn for his kind rose to the surface of her emotions. Humans. Always thought they knew best. They had been this way for centuries, and she knew by experience. They had taken him away from her that day, and she wasn't going to forgive them for that. True, the ones who had actually commited the act had passed away. A small curve appeared at the corner of Vittoria's mouth as she remembered the taste of their blood. Her first kills, how sweet the victory. They had taken what was most precious to her, and they couldn't be denied the same. So, she took what was most precious to them, life.
Despite the situation, a soft bitter laugh escaped her lips. Life How meaningless the word. All it meant was that you could die, yet there were always exceptions to that rule weren't there. And these- these humans, how vile the word, treasured it beyond anything else. How they always believed that things would turn out the better. Life will get better, they said, as if they knew. They had not suffered as she had, and they had never felt such pain. Vittoria threw a look at the blood that had begun to stain the boy's clothes. So was this what he called pain? Silly humans, thinking life could be wasted so easily. What made them worse was that they wanted pain.
Yet, wasn't that why they were so fun to toy with in the first place? An amused smile replaced the contemptuous look on Vittoria's face. She reached out a pale hand towards the boy's face. To her it had seemed as if he had hurt himself until the brink of death, but he didn't seem to be expressing it now. He wasn't writhing in pain from his wounds, and he could understand and respond to her. The boy had just raised himself to his elbows, showing her that he wasn't in much pain. Oh, how they contridicted themselves so, these silly humans. The vampiress smiled and spoke to the boy again.
" A nice soft kill out of you? Of course not," she cooed softly. Vittoria put a finger to the boy's face and slowly ran her finger down it, stopping at the base of his neck. " Rich warm blood? Perhaps." She applied pressure to the skin under her nail, until it punctured and bright red blood freely spilled out. She caught some of the blood on her finger, and once again brought it to her lips. It was too tempting just to kill him right there.
" What brings you out at night child? Don't you know that the monsters come out at night..."

A bitter laugh shook Ark's body. "Why yes, I AM quite aware, Vampire. Now I'll ask you the same thing. "Why are you out here tonight?"

Vittoria raised her eyebrows at the boy's response. He was just like the rest of them wasn't he? To her, it seemed as if he thought he knew best. Oh, how wrong he was. A dark fire lit behind her eyes as she thought of the possibilities she could do to him. Yes, this would amuse her quite a bit. If it didn't, well she needed to make it, didn't she?
" Not a man of many words are you?" she asked. Then quite suddenly she laughed, her eyes filled with mirth. Whether she was laughing at herself, or the boy it couldn't be told. Actually, she was laughing at a bit of both. " You must forgive me," she said softly looking into the boy's eyes. " For a second there, I called you a man. Yet, now I can see that you aren't. You're just a little student up from the school, thinking that you're so brave to escape from the school at night. How wrong you are, little one." Slowly she stood up, the smile still on her face.
" Many like you come out at night. I can see them from the forest, smell their blood." She looked up across the lake, as if she saw those people in her mind's eye. A hungry look of desire appeared on her face for less than a second, but it disappeared. Once again, she looked down at the boy. " They come here for secret meetings and late night swims. Though none of them come to do as you have." She vaguely gestured to his blood-splattered body. "You silly students think that you own this place, as if everything depends on your whims."
Her eyes were now hard, as if something in the universe had changed. The change was so sudden, it was alarming. Vittoria was smoldering, her hate and anger had been surpressed. Now, it seemed, as if it was going to come out. Her rich red mouth was set in a firm line, and her eyes began to glow red. She lusted for blood, and this boy had plenty. He needed to be taught many lessons. Mainly, he needed to be taught how to please a vampire, and she was a wonderful teacher.
" I was out here this night because it is near that here I dwell. Those other students don't interest me, but you. You're different. You speak as if you know of these monsters, but how much of that is bravado child? You may have wandered into the forest, and been taught some lessons, but how much have you really learned? This is a school, is it not?" She walked around him, watching how he would react. Once more, she returned to his side and knelt down.
" You may have dealt with other monsters before, but you have never dealt with me!" she whispered softly into his ear. Suddenly her right hand shot out and grabbed him by the collar. Vittoria threw him against the nearest tree and pushed against him, sandwiching him between herself and the tree. " You need to learn manners, boy. You never answered my question. That's not polite. I do believe that you need a punishment."
Holding him in place with her left hand, she placed a razor sharp nail from her right against his cheek. He had lost so much blood already, it wasn't going to matter if she took some. She made a small slit in the side of his face, and the rich blood poured out, glistening in the moonlight. Softly, Vittoria placed her lips on the boys cheek, her tongue catching her prize. The liquid was salty, corrosive, and tangy. Not wanting to spoil her fun, the Vampiress only took a little.
" That's just a hint of what I want, child," she cooed into his ear before stepping away and letting go of all support holding him up against the tree. As she did so, she licked the excess blood from her lips. Looking down at the boy, she gave him a dazzling smile. The only things that told a person who she really was, were her two teeth, sharp and pointed.
" You may call me Vittoria. Calling me Vampire is so vulgar, wouldn't you agree child?"
