Sungai paused for a moment, allowing the hand that had been touching Mina's cheek to fall slowly to his sides, thinking of an adequate answer that would still keep her curious. She was indeed a fascinating human, and he was allowing his curiousity to get the better of him. Nonetheless, he was still certain that he could defend or protect himself if the moment called for it.
His golden eyes glittered in the moonlight and he shook his wet hair again, now settling in grey ringlets about his face. His slightly pointed features seemed to glow in the moonlight and meld into a strange dusky shadow as the moonlight shifted across his face. He looked up and opened his fanged mouth to answer her question.
"'Cold' is merely a state of mind," he replied. "'Cold' is an abstract notion. It means many many different things. I wouldn't say that I am always cold, though neither would I say that I am not always cold," Sungai glanced to the sky and noted the clarity that signified little warmth.
"Speaking of which, would you like to exit the water? I would be more than happy to escort you, if you wished. Alternatively, if you mean for us to keep flirting, please, let me know," Sungai smiled and managed to complete a bow with a flourish.

It was interesting, listening to his explanation. Perhaps far more interesting than it should have been, but then, who was to decide such a thing. The girl could drug herself with him as much as she liked, couldn't she? Her thumbs dug in a little harder to her upper arms, and if she had let go, they would have left small red marks. As her eyes flickered suddenly, and she snapped her gaze to the water, Mina swallowed, trying to hide her emotion behind a smiling mask.
It was a good thing Sungai glanced at the sky here.
When his question came, she inhaled sharply and looked up, as if pulled back through some tube into reality. Moistening her lips with her tongue she nodded briefly, before realising that would not help anything, as he had given her two options. Upon the last she posed an embarrassed smile; coy at how blunt he was over the whole thing.
Tugging on the bottom of her jacket to make a poor attempt at covering the back of her partially see-through pants, Mina began to wade out of the water, passing Sungai and chuckling just loud enough for him to hear. Her hair fell by her cheeks as she walked watching the water, before she pushed her chin through a few strands over her shoulder and said: "We don't have to be in the water to flirt."

Sungai admired the girl - both for her strong, brazen approach to the comment he had thrown at her that would make many other girls fall into a giggling heap at his feet and for the view he recieved of her as she sauntered past him. She certainly had a dancer's lithe body, that much Sungai agreed with.
Deciding to take a more gentlemanly approach, Sungai moved quickly behind her, soon catching up with her, regardless of the water swilling gently around his legs. He took her elbow in his slender hand and helped her out the banks of the water. He pushed the locks of wet, shaggy hair from his golden eyes and looked at the girl in front of him. She very definately wasn't the usual mortal girl. There was something more etheral about her, something that made her so much more attractive to Sungai than the other mortal girls.

Mina's chin passed over her shoulder again as she returned her gaze to the front of her, wading further out of the water. She heard and felt the body of liquid around her move as he made his way over to her and gently grasped her elbow. Perhaps if she knew Vampires better, she would have flinched here, for his touch was not only chilled, but possibly a movement in preparation for a kill. But Mina's smile only grew wider and she widened the gap between her side and her arm, gratefully letting him guide her from the lake. She saw no need to fear him yet, for he had done nothing to induce such a reputation on her. Rather, she was quite infatuated with him.
Mina knew she could be punished for meeting with a creature on school grounds at this time of night for the danger she was putting herself in. Who was she kidding? He could kill her with a flick of his wrist, and yet, perhaps that was what drew her to him. The risk, the danger, the challenge. Mina was up well after curfew now, but her concerns hardly kept to this thought. They stepped onto the shore and she let go of the bottom of her jacket with her other hand, leaving it free to slide up the see-through shape of her lower back. Her smile slowly faded into a calm look as she caught his golden gaze for yet another moment that night.
Mina faced him properly and swallowed, pushing her wet hair behind her ears. She took two steps closer to Sungai, and her aqua-green eyes glowed with an amiable look to them as her hands nervously brought themselves to his stomach, and crawled up to rest on his chest timidly. Whatever body heat she had collected in the short space of time that she had left the water now radiated against him, and her tempting eyes chanced a look at his lips, before they connected with his golden eyes again. Mina held back words, but her heart would not slow down, and the blood rushing with adrenaline through her insides was giving her stomach butterflies. With a tickle of nerves, Mina kept her cool exterior, but had no doubt Sungai could sense the pulsing rhythm inside her. He was a Vampire after all.

The change in her attitude toward him was slight but noticeable enough for Sungai to give her a slight quirk of his eyebrows coupled with a sly grin. He missed nothing of her movements, the telltale signs that she was interested in a little more than flirting with him. Unperturbed, Sungai allowed her eyes to flicker over him, jump from his lips to his eyes and in return, Sungai's eyes glanced over the faint blush of colour at her cheeks, the sparkle in her eyes, the movement in her body that gave away the fact she was trying to speak but simultaneously fighting against it. He knew exactly what she wanted and he moved half a step closer to her.
Sungai's arm snaked slowly forward and slipped amongst her wet garments to settle against her waist and he gently pulled her closer to him. His free hand moved and in a swift movement the sailor's hat that had been jammed onto his head moments before was taken from his head and tossed carelessly into the air, landing out of sight.
"I hope you didn't desperately love that thing," Sungai commented as he moved his face a little closer to Mina's, mercilessly teasing her by making the moment of anticipation before a kiss last for an infinately long time. "Besides, you were the one who saturated it." He then gave up on the teasing and moved his hand to rest against Mina's cheek, guiding her head gently to allow for his kiss.

He moved closer to her, and her breath caught in her throat as his arm slipped like liquid around her body, coming to rest on her waist with a little pressure to pull her forward to him. He raised his other hand and Mina was almost screaming to close her eyes, for she was so nervous that he had been about to tilt her neck to the side and slide those dangerous fangs down into her soft skin. She blinked quickly as he tossed aside the sailor hat like some move out of the Full Monty; the corners of her lips tipping upward at the edges at this thought.
His words about the hat made her tongue tie itself in knots and she opened her mouth to answer, but her shining gaze could not steal itself away from his moving lips, and she let a tight gasp escape her as his face moved closer to hers. Of course she did not care for the hat. Her heart was racing one hundred miles an hour and she could hardly breathe as his lips started moving again as he continued his sentence. She could have pushed herself against him right then and tackled him to the ground in a passionate show of affection, but her body had different ideas. She was paralyzed.
His hand slid by her cheek and she felt her face tilted up for their lips to connect. A hot rush of a feeling Mina had never felt before swarmed through her, and her eyes fell closed in a state of bliss. The timid fingers at his chest now relentlessly curled into handfuls of his black shirt and her tongue pushed between his lips, skimming his fangs as her insides danced and performed somersaults. Her very first kiss was with a Vampire. Sungai was her very first kiss.
Sexy.
