Ark walked into the Forbidden Forest, ignoring the danger signs. He had just came from the Hospital Wing and the fire of it. Isaac... he thought, seething with anger. "DAMMIT ISAAC! WHERE ARE YOU!" he shouted, calling the demon. He had nearly killed many students and set fire to the Wing. Now, Ark wasn't particulary mad about that, just the fact that Isaac thought he need a babysitter. "COME HERE YOU DEVIL!" he cried, dashing through the trees.

Heh. Dashing through the trees...Right into the devil herself.
BANG. A gunshot resounded around the trees, the bullet embedding itself harsh and hot in Ark's left kneecap. "Damn." Came a suave whisper, as the owner of the firearm stepped out rather cynically, her stiletto black knee-highs giving her the appearance of some hollywood babe in an action movie. She tossed her hair over her shoulder; simply to add to the moment.
"You could have ducked, perhaps then I may have hit my target." She told the boy, raising a curved brow as her eyes settled where she'd intended the bullet to go, directly in the dip between his legs. "I never did like these things..." She murmured, tossing the empty gun aside. Her lips quirked to a smile as the blood ran from Ark's wound, spitting itself across the forest floor as though someone had just pulled the plug on some patient's drip.
The demoness walked over to the boy, taking her strides slowly, letting the pain of the wound sink in, before crack, her hand drove itself up to the bottom of his nose, shattering the bridge of it backward and into his skull. Surely this would knock him out, and if he wanted to play hero, she had a whole lot more where that came from - as they say.
Wringing her hand dry of the blood she let her head tilt, eyebrows lowered. "You shout devil in here my dear, and any one of us demons is bound to join your party." She hissed, curling her lip up in a disgusted manner at him.

Ark cried in agony of the wounds, but he ignored the pain and smiled evily up at Mai. "I wasn't looking for you ma'am, I was just trying to find dear Isaac. For you see, I must talk to him." he told her in a slightly childish voice, his mind ready to cast out any spell or enchantment he knew

Fallen angels at my feet, Whispered voices at my ear. Death before my eyes. Upon my end, I shall begin. The leaves of autumn tickled along her pale cheek, dragging the sluggish nymph back to something that resmebled life. She didn't know how long she had slept or for how long she'd lain here, alone and sheltered by one of the oldest trees in the forest. And now, one by one, the crumpled leaves began to fall upon her body. It drew her back, awoke her from the month-long slumber that had stolen her away. A pair of dark lashes fluttered over brown eyes as she arched her back and slowly flexed her fingers and toes, as if to make sure that she was still alive. Yes... so it was true. She hadn't died, but simply spent the last month in a state of slumber; slumber and confusion. But now she was awake and growing ever-more alert with every second. She was suddenly aware enough to realize her white and green corset was torn and soiled, along with the fact that her carefully placed hair ribbons had all but come undone from her ratty french braids. But she hardly minded; clothing could be repaired and hair could be redone. Carefully, she dangled her legs over the edge of the branch and proceeded to gaze around. Nothing seemed to have changed, spare the passing of time and the change of seasons. After a few centuries of life, it seemed as though she hadn't missed much. But then the crack of a revolver going off shattered the silence around her, causing birds to fly from the trees and a lone deer jump for cover. One of her eyebrows quirked upwards in mock amusement; perhaps she had missed more than previously thought. She didn't know of anyone in the forest that carried a gun, though she knew that it couldn't be a student. They would rather toy and dabble in magic, the weaklings that they were. She had no patience for them. Not now. And, if curiosity hadn't driven her, she might have just curled up and returned to her little dream-world. But it spurred her on, urging her hand to unconciously reach for her little dagger and strap it by her side once more. Her wings, untainted by time, opened and then stretched a few times as she took a few almost cautious glances around. Moving her body into what looked like a dive, she plummeted off the branch and then quickly flitted through the trees, barely more than a stream of light moving along. And that was how she liked to be; invisable and undetected. But her eyes finally caught upon something, the red blood of the boy as he spoke to someone- the demoness, Mai. What a lovely suprise. "Talk to Isaac?" She whispered, landing quickly and then flipping her wings inward. "I've heard there's no talking to that headstrong fool. I despise both of you, playing such childish games." In all honesty, she distrusted both the demons. Isaac had only become so because of Kalista, a siring of sorts that she believed to be foolish. As for Ark, she still saw him as just a student, and a stupid one at that. Her experiences with Mai had been rare, however she did trust the demoness. Judging by what she could see, it had been her who had emptied the last bullet into this little boy. But she wouldn't interfere. This was Mai's pound of flesh to do with what she willed. And the nypmh wasn't one for killing, spare when the subject had invaded her home or threatened her life. Matters did seem very well taken care of, so she backed off a few steps. Let the demoness handle herself. But if the boy made one move, she would be on him in an instant.

A quiet, drawn-out mirthful laugh.
"Headstrong, am I? Glad to know I finally have your opinion on me." Came the familiar, taunting tone of the Demon.
In a whirl of black garments, Isaac descended from the branches overhead, always overhead. His arms were folded smugly across his chest, his glittering green orbs taking in the scene with no small amount of satisfaction.
"Though in your condition, dear Anactoria, I would hesitate to be calling me anything." He said evenly.

Beauty, beauty, mocking me. Far away, lock and key. Cold brown eyes and long dark hair. Beauty, beauty, why do you sleep?
She knew that her words had been overheard as soon as the slipped from her mouth, but she paid them no mind. Isaac would get what was coming to him; and from what she had heard before her slumber it was due to be soon. Soon, she knew, it would be his carcass hanging from these very branches. And if nobody else had the guts to do it, she would do it herself. The arrogant demon did not scare her, for words were only words and his actions failed more often than not. Imagine following a being such as Danawi. She was her own ruler; the little demon boy was quite obviously one who needed someone else to set an example for him. That much had been proven over time.
Twirling one of the faded ribbons around her fingers, she twisted them into a little cat's cradle out of boredom. Her wait was a common one, for she knew that Isaac always did need to make a grand entrance. The green ribbon proved to hold her amusement until he made his decent- perhaps, if he and Ark got into a battle, she would assist the one that Mai seemed to loathe. Or perhaps she wouldn't take sides at all; for she honestly would like nothing more than to see the both of them dead. That day would come.
A snide comment about her condition, of course, was just the thing. The demon walked a thin tightrope and this proved to be the one slip of his tounge that would cause him to fall. Oh, how her detest for him had grown. For once she was guided by her mind and not her emotions as she calmly strode over to him, not caring about her dress. That hardly mattered; such things only pertained to the mortal. As for her, she had a lifetime to care about how her hair was or how her dress was elegantly fitted for her.
Cold, brown eyes stared into his as she stood within inches of his face, still twirling the ribbon around and around her fingers. Games for little children, she thought. The kind of games they play before they realize what the world is really about and how truely dangerous it can be. Oh, the horrors that they are sheltered from. She had never been sheltered; for the truth was always something that was made known. And the truth was that people died every day, from little babies to the old and infirm. And the world just kept on moving, moving, moving on.
"I see you're still an arrogant little boy." She whispered, raising the ribbon over her head and slowly lowering it around his neck. Her one hand held it secure as she drew him closer as though to kiss him, tightening it gradually. "Make comments about my condition again and I'll make certain that you are no longer in a state that permits you to say such things."

Ark grunted as he looked around the clearing. Two people that he rather disliked had to come at the same time. And this new one, Mai. This should be intresting. "Why, hello Anactoria. Long time no see, though the time has obviously been rougher for you. And Isaac, I loved your little show in the Wing. How bout next time you don't nearly fry your comrade in the process, hm?" he said to the new arrivals. As his head turn towards Mai, he smiled a genuine smile. "Mai Le Rose, I believe it was, right? Now, as you should obviously see, my business is with Isaac, not you. Oh, and nice shot I would like to say." he nodded an approval to his kneecap, which continued to spill blood. "Episkey" he muttered, healing both his kneecap and broken nose. Standing straight up, he looked at the two demons and the nymph.

Once was blind Now I can see Darkness gone No longer night Darkness gone Enter the light
Isaac coolly returned the nymph's stare, unperturbed as her ribbon tightened about his neck. "Fair enough, though might I say, I am loving the 'druidess' look."
With a mischevious glint in his eye, he darted his head forward, giving Anactoria a quick peck on her lips. Simultaneously, a small dagger, held expertly in Isaac's hand, slit the ribbon noose that she had fashioned, and leapt away.
"I do say, being able to see is getting to be funner and funner." Isaac remarked.

Ark shook his head. True he disliked Isaac, for the once blind demon was sometimes.....troubling, but Anactoria? He loathed her. If anyone deserved to die, it was her. He watched silently as Isaac cut the ribbon and lept away gracefully. "Bravo, Isaac. May I be kind enough to ask how you came to be able to see?" asked Ark quietly. He knew from experience that both nymphs and demons had shapened senses. He himself was half-demon, though he was none to happy about that. Looking towards Mai, he asked "What happened between the nymph and him?". He was curious. Always curious.

Isaac chuckled merrily, pivoting in a slow, listless manner to face Ark.
"Ah yes, the everlasting question. How did the blind man come to see? Well, rest assured, I did not rub mud upon my eyes." He said in a sing-song voice, as if teaching a classful of children.
"Ask the demoness who stands before you, for I have no f***ing clue how she did it either." He said with a smirk.

Praised be the dews wherewith she moists the ground, Praised be her beams, the glory of the night; Praised be her power, by which all powers abound, Praised be her nymphs, with whom she decks the woods... Her slitted brown eyes slowly cast a glance over at the bleeding Ark, with whom she showed no sympathy for. He could be Mai's to deal with, for she had no direct quarrel with him. Obviously the demoness did, lest she wouldn't have shot him. She smiled coyly as he put himself back together, in a sense, doing nothing more than emitting a fake yawn at his words towards her. Personally, she hardly cared what happened to him. Though, judging from the discontent in his voice, he apparently didn't care much for her either. This made her smile once more; so she was disliked. That was something she could certainly deal with, for she paid no mind to it. Caring about another's feelings just made her feel too much like a child. A child. No, not any child. Her child, her baby boy. Lomion. She had called him thus, though his conception and birth was still a foggy haze in her mind. His death, however, was an event that only haunted her dreams. The night it rained so hard that there were puddles, the rare rainstorm of the desert. Blood and tears, along with that little body and those wide, baby-blue eyes that would never see again. Sight was a gift, but so was life. Here, her child might have had a chance. He would be so much older now... still but a child in her own eyes, but with a full and beautiful set of wings. A dark male beauty, in contrast to her own fierce looks. For Isaac did not know what it meant to live. He might now know what it meant to see, but never what it meant to be glad for every single day you were allowed to feel the sun rise. Lomion would never see that and though the memory was distant, it was strong. He was her child. To watch an immortal being such as Isaac just flaunt around made her wrathful, for he was living the life that her heir would never even get the chance to. But even through such thoughts, she did not let a single bit of it slip onto her expression. Her hands pulled back the two pieces of ribbon with only a stare in return, one of calm composure. He was quick like an elf, but that was what would be his ruin. It was the ruin of all stupidly arrogant creatures of his kind, and the reason that she had been around for so long. For she did not tease her elders. Her place was always remembered before she was flung here. She was always respectful towards the Elders. "I find you such a waste of life." She growled, averting her eyes towards a nearby clearing for merely a moment. "A waste. You flaunt such a gift instead of being respectful and thankful. Do you know how many will never have such a gift? How many children die each day without even getting to open their little eyes? Plenty, Isaac. Plenty." There was obviously more to life than blood and vengence, but the two before her were not the kind to see it. She had killed, yes. That much was sure. But she'd never killed without reason; and never for her own personal reasons. Plain and simple.

A single moment.
A single glimpse.
When Anactoria's gaze flickered away from Isaac, for only the briefest of moments, the inpenetrable wall that was her psyche slipped, just a smidge. This allowed Isaac to 'look over' that 'wall', and the result was shocking.
Lomion
His lips formed the single word, the name, but his tongue seemed stuck to the inside of his mouth, refusing to obey his command to speak. His posture changed, as if his center of gravity had become abruptly skewed, and he had to throw out his arm to grab a random overhanging branch for balance.
His eyes peered at Anactoria through his bangs, and somehow, Isaac seemed to.... shrink.
He shook his head mournfully, if it was out of sorrow or denial, he did not know.

The cheek.
The demoness shot a bored look at Ark as he drawled on to her about seeing Isaac, and 'not her'. He used a childish voice, in what she saw as an insult, or more so than that when he muttered something under his breath and healed himself almost instantly. "Faggot." She spat, quite unexpectedly to say the least. It could have been a riot, the out-of-character language and attitude she was using. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate for those around her was for them to decide.
Reaching behind herself, Mai shifted the weight of her corsét slightly and plucked two silver bullets from the craftily-tied lace at the center-back of her appendage, then turned and bent to scoop up the gun. Shovelling a rather s***ty look at Ark as she loaded the gun, the demoness cocked it backward and fired directly at his groin, hitting her target first-shot, perfectly.
"Good luck to your next generation mate." She quipped briefly, before raising the firearm and shooting him in the same kneecap as before. Before he could stumble, or even react, she rounded on him instantly and cracked the barrel of the gun against his nose twice, letting the resounding snap of bone delight her ears with the skillfully performed double-breakage of both the top and lower joints of the bridge of his nose.
THAT and the gunshot wounds WOULD NOT be healed with a simple wave of a hand. That was certain, perhaps even the lowest of fools could figure this out.
Tipping an invisible hat to Ana in greeting, Mai noted the awkward exchange between the two after a few moments. She also noted the metaphorical size of Isaac's head in regards to him being capable of seeing everything now. To this, she narrowed her eyes, then rolled them. Mai repelled her gaze from the two and cornered Ark in a hellish stare. "You are no friend of ours. Nor an ally." She growled. "Now get out." She spat, her eyes flashing in a manner that said 'I'm sick of this'.
If Ark wanted a brawl, he could take it elsewhere. Shoving the gun by her hip, Mai turned to Ana. "Do with him what you will." Then she poised her stiletto's West, and headed off toward the setting sun.
