Surprisingly, the Forbidden Forest of the school was silent, all apart from the ticking of Tiffany's wrist watch and the near silent sound of her feet meeting the soft ground which was littered with shoots of plants and brown grass. The heat lately seemed to have been too much for the little blades, sharp enough to cause a cut on a human's skin, but not strong enough to withstand the natural enemy of heat. Crouching down, Tiff ran a finger against on of the hundreds of dried out blades, but could do nothing to restore it. Only the light rain which was falling from a dark sky could do anything to help the poor plant.
Brushing some slightly damp hair out of her eyes, Tiffany stood up again and continued her slow walk between the darkened trees, continuing to be attacked by random raindrops. Never had the chestnut haired Vampiress liked the rain. Her hair would go frizzy at the smallest sign of rain, never mind a downpour. Though staying cooped up in the Vampires' Lair that the school offered was proving tiresome. After all, no one seemed to just traipse in, and meals were becoming scarce unless one ventured into the village of Hogsmeade which was situated not far rom the caves.
However, after eavesdropping on a conversation earlier in the day whilst drinking a blood pack from the Lair, Tiff had overheard that children constantly traipsed through the forest which was right in front of the lair. Now who would have imagined that? Children of all creatures.
A gleeful smile, bordering on sadistic had appeared on her recently glossed lips as she heard this, and made plans to set out as soon as it was safe. And now, she was there. No screams had been heard, but then, neither had anything else, apart from the repetative tick tock, tick tock...
It's only a matter of time...

And time was of the essence.
During her memories flooding through her mind, the blue-haired girl grew to miss the Demoness of whom had saved her life, rather than destroy it. Though it was a surprise to the girl, she gradually grew used to Mai becoming aquainted to like her. Thus it wasn't so strange that her navy blue cloak had traipsed through the threshold of the Forbidden Forest. Third or fourth time she had come, and only once had she ever had a wound; and even then it was just a gash or ten from landing through the trees down to the ground.
But this time, something was eerily different.
"H-hello?" The cry pleaded with the area, wishing for someone to at least grant Carmen a greeting, whether it be an attack or a welcome it didn't matter. "Is anyone th-there?"
She might have sounded scared, but Carmen grew more curious than anything, and wanted to satisfy her urge to saunter back into the forest. Okay, now we're here, CAN WE GO NOW?! screamed part of her mind to the other. This was the logical side, the scientific side, the scared side.

Tick tock, tick tock...
The time had come. A greeting could be heard through the clearing of the forest. Already her bright blue eyes could make out the figure of a girl, her hair as blue as her eyes was the one calling out.
Now it was play time.
Putting one heeled foot in front of the other, Tiffany slowly made her way over to the girl who was calling out. "Yes, someone's here," her soft voice called out. Though it could have been as soft as silk, someone with a trained ear would be able to spot the menace that was hidden behind it. It didn't take long for Tiff to reach the girl.
Reaching a hand out, the Vampiress took a few strands of the fine blue hair and lifted it, as though inspecting it. "You've got lovely hair, deary," Tiffany whispered, loud enough for the student to hear as she dropped the hair back to its original place. Taking slow footsteps around her, the moon seemed to come back out, illuminating her pale skin. "May I ask what one as... pretty... as yourself is doing wondering the forest alone? Who knows what you may find here..."

That eyeshot. Something about it didn't seem like the welcome that Carmen had anticipated. She had almost let go of a flinch that would have made her jump as the hip-looking woman gently inspected the long locks of blue hair that grew from Carmen's head. "Thank you," was the uttered, almost whispered reply that seemed to sting her tongue.
"You're quite pretty yourself... I-uh, I was looking for someone..." muttered the girl. How odd. This woman seemed to impose more danger and fright on the girl than the Demoness Mai had done. Maybe it was because the corsetted woman hadn't implied she was going to harm her; not that Carmen knew the Vampiress would.

"Anybody... in particular?" Tiffany queried, letting her tongue brush against her teeth as she continued to eye the girl. Taking to leaning back against a tree behind her, the Vampiress considered the possibility of this girl perhaps being her next meal. There was a slight glint in her eyes that would have given those thoughts away.
And if the girl decided to run... well, even in her knee high boots she would be no match for Tiffany.

Slipping her right hand into her cloak pocket, she fumbled around for her wand, and once found, grasped it tightly. Thankfully a trip to the library had ensured a few spells into her memory. At the moment she had asked who Carmen was looking for, she could have sworn she had seen a glint that said she was going to back off.
But no, Carmen was mistaken. Not that she knew it of course, being the oblivious type. "A demoness called Mai. Do you know her?" Though the relaxing thought of the woman backing off had indeed calmed her slightly, she still gripped tightly onto her wand, just in case of a swift movement, even if she couldn't block it.

Tiffany caught the girl's hand moving towards her pocket and raised a brow, wondering what could be in her pocket that was so urgent at that point in time. However the name meant nothing to the Vampiress at all. Shaking her head and causing her earrings to jangle slightly, breaking the silence oncemore, Tiffany replied: "Not at all, honey. Sorry."
"But I could keep you company, if it was company you were after." Those softly spoken words once more held menace, as if the brunette Vampiress knew something the blue haired girl didn't... oh and that she did. If it was up to Tiffany the little girl wouldn't be getting out of this forest with all her blood in tact, if any at all.

Tightening her grip around the wooden stick in her cloak pocket, Carmen could have gulped. She had been in much tougher situations, but not with a woman so malicious as the one before her. However, it didn't matter much. For a strange reason, the blue girl didn't know fear, oblivious to its clutches.
"That would be nice," was her reply, slipping her other hand into the other pocket, relaxing only a little. "I'm Carmen."

"Carmen..." Tiffany repeated, rolling the 'r' as much as she could given her accent. The time she had spent in Paris was one the chestnut haired vampiress would remember for years to come. Oh yes. There she had met a charming young man. Piers, his name. Parisian blood tended to taste good, very good. There was a sense of passion that none other could provide.
"Carmen," she repeated, this time her voice a whisper. "Well, you know, doll, I think we could become good friends, don't you?" Tiff smiled, the malice in her eyes beginning to shine through more and more with each word that came from her lipglossed lips.
