OOC: ~Forest Lycans Only Please~
BIC:
Steps unguided by conscious thought.
Kage stumbled through the Forest, lacking any of his usual stealth and grace. Granted, that was what he wanted, because he somewhat wanted to draw as much attention as possible. He needed to see HER.
He needed to see Sealla.
And unfortunately, so intent was he on finding Sealla that he failed to notice the rather large tree root sticking out from the ground, up until the point where he tripped upon it and twisted his ankle.
Kage rolled heavily onto his back and faced the canopy, and beyond that, the sky.
Terrific.
With a groan of pain, he rose shakily to his feet, and began walking again. His hands slipped easily into his pockets, withdrawing a pack of cigarettes, as well as a lighter. Placing a cigarette in his mouth, he lit it, and puffed gently to get it going, then replaced the pack and lighter in his pockets.
A shifting of shadows abruptly was visible to his left, and Kage drew up short, "Sealla?" He called softly.

Sure enough, she was there, but not where he thought she was. The shadows moving around near him was a mere forest creature much smaller than she, fearing their life. The man seemed almost needy of her presence. Something seemed very different this time though, out of the many visits he had payed the forest. "Your eyes healed rather quickly, Kage," came her cooed reply, examining his vision from his right within the cloaking shadows.
Though it was her human form that had stated the accented words, black padded paws crushed the leaves below them, leading a vicious snarl across her muzzle. When would any of them learn to no longer come? It was almost as if she had deterred the other Lycans, but not him. How odd. Her front paws spread themselves slightly wider than normal apart, standing in a prefferal fighting stance. You of all creatures know you're not allowed in here. This time, instead of using her normal telepathic speech, her muzzle parted and her lips held the warning as she spoke in tongue.
(Ooc: Sorry for the bad post, I'm strapped for time.)

Kage puffed silently on his cigarette as he watched Sealla 'reveal' herself, the tip glowing lightly in the darkness. When she commented on his eyes, his face screwed up in a cross between a grimace and a smirk. "So it would seem." He commented, withdrawing his cigarette to exhale a cloud of smoke.
He waited again, silent and patient, as she gave the rest of her little speech, before removing his cigarette once more to help expedite conversation. "So if I'm not supposed to be here, but yet I am here. Again. After you sliced me up and warned me to never come back." His head tilted as he looked penetratingly at her.
"What does that mean to you?"

The midnight fur on the back of her neck stood on end as he retorted arrogantly, and not once had Sealla lost the snarl wrought across her muzzle. His attempt to have a little chat, once again, resulted in no feeling other than anger within the she-wolf. Why had none of them thought once to meet at the lake or somewhere else? It seemed as though their smarts had seeped away. Your interrogation doesn't fool me, Kage, she snarled, once again speaking in tongue.
She wouldn't let him get the better of her, it couldn't happen. It hadn't, and it wouldn't.

"Good, because it isnt one."
Kage silently swiveled to face Sealla, both eyes locking solidly on hers. The pain within his own two orbs washed forth like a gentle wave, lapping about Sealla's 'ankles'.
"This is me trying to talk with one of my best friends."

But the pain that he had tried to show the Lycan didn't so much as cause her to blink, because she didn't see an inch of it. She still stood strongly there in a prepared way, awaiting an attack, but the snarl lost itself within her muzzle at his words. Finally another alike Rogue actually decided to speak with her, not at her. Or did he? It was uncertain for the woman to tell which he seeked.
One way or another, she had to get him out of the forest. Even if Chailyn was happy for them to have a discussion amid the trees, she wasn't. After a long sigh, the black she-wolf relaxed slightly and looked up again. Fine, but not here, she glanced over towards the thinning trees. You're not allowed here, you risk your life to come see me. We must leave for the lake, or somewhere else of here. Her almost hushed voice sounded hurried, as if it were the old Sealla back again.

"I know I risk my life." Kage said, plopping himself on a rock with a degree of finality, a halo of exhaled smoke momentarily encircling his head. He took another contemplative puff on the cigarette before speaking again.
"So what happens now?"

This was a time that he annoyed her. But it didn't exactly surprise her with his overwhelming ignorance. Either he chose not to hear her properly, or was just plain tuning out to her words. And once again, the Lycan breathed out a heavy but shallow sigh. Did you not hear me? We are to leave if you really want to talk. You're not allowed in here, she snapped harshly through telepathic means. Perhaps the smoking was filling up his mind like it was the air.
But he didn't move. With a vigorous but less harmful impact, her forehead thudded quickly and sharply against the crook of his shoulder and rib-cage, pushing him back abruptly. It looked as though the man wasn't going to leave unless made to, like the last time they had met together. Though she could have been wrong. Well? Move! she shrieked aloud, ramming against him once again.

The first time, Kage allowed himself to be rocked backwards, spitting out his cigarette.
The second time, a second before impact, he twisted his upper body sideways, Sealla's head just grazing his bicep as he wrapped his arms around in her neck in a very impromptu, but no less affectionate, hug. His face lay against her fur, and though the angle made it impossible to see, silent tears were running down Kage's cheeks.
Why do you hate us now?

Not the most surprising act, but nonetheless odd for Kage to do. Though she was caught in a little dilemma the black she-wolf didn't panick. There was no need to. For long moments in time Sealla stayed there, letting Kage's almost silent sobs be muffled into her midnight fur, but again, he didn't seem to hear her demanding words. Gathering her thoughts back together in one mingled pile again, she let his grip stay around her neck, and began to walk forward toward the thinning trees, dragging the man along the ground.
I don't hate you, you just don't understand she replied telepathically in a cold yet soothing voice as the clearing drew near.

Dimly, he was aware of being dragged along the ground, albeit slowly. It seemed as if Sealla, though removing him from the forest, was taking care not to step upon him
You're not helping the 'understanding' here, if you just keep attacking and attacking.

Now parting through the clearing, it had been a few minutes since Kage had replied wearily, stating that her revolts against them hadn't uncovered any reasoning or understanding. A shame really, she rather enjoyed the attacks, no matter what the creature was.
Lycans just held more consequences.
You and your lot begin it by provoking me. I've been able to contain it for the few years the Lycans have lived within the tunnels, but not any more.
