OOC: Invite only. The stars will cry the blackest tears tonight. It seemed like such an ominous sign, the two young lycans running side by side though the darkened forest. Night had come long ago and the hours were now slowly creeping towards dawn, when the blood of innocent pups would be marked with the red sunrise. Right now, Cealla's mind was acting off of pure instinct and the urge not to simply break down in tears. It seemed like everything had fallen apart so quickly- the death of her mother and the fatal injury that would perhaps claim the life of her father. She was very close to becoming an orphan. And then there were the events of tonight... something she knew she would never forget. Her stomach ached as she ran, still hurting from the vampire's sharp kick. She began to wonder if it had caused any serious damage, praying that it hadn't. They had no right to do this to her! Or to any of the pups. Kayla and Jagger were dead... maybe even Rouge was dead as well. It was as though there was no hope left in the world. But yet... there was. There was Sealla. She knew that Sealla had to be willing to help; no matter how little she cared anymore. Nobody could be so cold-hearted as to not care if innocent pups were slaughtered. And she had seemed to have some emotion at the death of Amelia.. Finally, Cealla came to a halt towards the middle of the forest. Sean stopped beside her and she cast a wary glance at him. After a few long seconds of silence, she cast back her head and let out a long howl. It reflected the deaths of the night, the blood that had been spilt, and carried a waving edge not much unlike Sealla's own...

The howl wasn't what had caught the she-wolf's attention. Wind bustled through the trees, accenting each and every little thud of the small paws that the distressed pups caused. Watching, prowling, silence. Though the darknes-cloaked Lycan would have looked like she was about to pounce on the little beings, this was far from her mind. The slightly bigger grey wolf was the one she had recognised to be of her own blood, and the other was one of Amelia's -rest her soul- pups.
The little creature that begged Sealla to take her in and let her reside with the she-wolf. No doubt Chailyn would have had her contradicting thoughts on whether or not to accept the pups into Sealla's arms, but in the end there would have only been one answer. Next, only being a few metres away now, came the mournful and anxious howl from the slightly smaller black wolf pup, allerting Sealla that there was more than what she could see.
Crunching leaves under her paws, the older wolf stepped out to the side of the two, closer to Sean than Cealla and looked down on them, but not with a warningly malignant glance. This time, she looked to them with a caring eye. Something had happened, and not knowing what, the she-wolf stood on her hind legs with a black silk dress cloaking her figure.
Bending to kneel down, the woman held out her arms wide to the distressed pups, cooing softly, "Come, what's driven you here little ones?"

Blood sweat and tears streamed through the dark coat of his as his paws pounded against the ground, streaking past shrubs and broken trees but Cealla's side. How cold they have done such a horrible thing? Though dangerously reluctant to leave his pappa, he had to keep Cealla safe, and he knew that his father was strong enough to beat back the Vampires so long as the remainder of the pack was safe.
The last time he had come into the dark forest was when the woman who his pappa had classified as Sean's mother had threatened to kill him if his pappa and his uncle Kage didn't leave. Being in the forest searching for her was very unnerving, but not nearly as scarey as the Vampires...
Cealla had stopped now, and let out a howl that shook through his slightly larger bones, and almost instantly the black wolf who's scent belonged to his mother stepped out close to him. Then there was the woman, bending down to welcome the two into her arms. Lifting a back paw he took a step backwards, weary of the woman, and let out a little whimper.

She had already known before she had come that Sean would be reluctant to see his mother again. And why wouldn't he, when she had tried her hardest to drive him as far away as possible? She had broken Xavier's heart and now seemed to want his forgiveness. Almost letting out a small snort, the black lycan considered if she should accept her grandmother's offer of comfort. Her arms were open and welcoming, but she couldn't help but remember the rage at which she'd screamed at her. Amelia's body was hardly cold and already she was lashing out at the ones she should love dearly.
Though, in all honesty, a part of her was suprised that Sealla wasn't angry for her and Sean coming here. She had the feeling that the woman had been watching them for a long time before actually approching, a hesitation for which Cealla had no explaination. And now her sudden desire to hold her son in her arms, probably for the first time since his birth? It seemed to be sheer madness, but what was she to do or say about it?
Having no desire to change to her human form, she merely placed a paw upon Sealla's arm and looked up at her with tearstained blue eyes. Could she not tell that something utterly terrible must have happened for them to seek her out in the first place? Cealla always had the feeling that Sean distrusted his mother and felt safe with Xavier, so for him to come here was strong enough reason that something must be utterly wrong.
'The Tunnels. There's been an attack.' She answered, not wanting to speak out loud for fear of being overheard. 'Xavier and Rouge are hurt. All the pups are dead....' At this point she choked up and turned away, unable to say that herself, her sister and Sean had been the only ones left alive. Kayla, Jagger, Chance.... had all been slain. And there had been nothing she could do about it, nothing anyone could do.

OOC: I have this urge to post, I'll delete it if you don't want me in it...
IC:
The silver Lycan could sense three other of his kind in the forest nearby, and he steadily limped towards the scents in his Lycan form.
Xavier had been badly injured by the Vampires during the attack on the Tunnels, but he had managed to wake up from his unconscious state and attempt to somewhat organize his home. Many had died in the brutal attack, and Xavier had taken the bodies of his dead comrades and laid them side by side in the main chamber, then covered them with blankets, sheets, or any other type of cover he could find. The bloodstains in the chamber would probably never go away, but as he had finished, Xavier knew what he had to do. As much as he hated it, he needed Sealla. They all needed her. As he continued to limp along through the forest, his foreleg injured by one of the vampires who had attacked him, Xavier knew he was getting closer. Soon, he arrived at the scene. Immediately, Xavier began crying tears of mixed joy and sadness at the sight of Sealla comforting her own kin. He couldn't remember the last time that had happened.
Slowly, Xavier changed into human form and slowly limped forward towards his mate and the pups. He leaned heavily against a nearby tree and held his arm tenderly. He hadn't had time to make a splint for it yet.
"Hello, Sealla," he managed to say through the pain coursing through his body. "Nice to see you again."
Xavier then lost his footing and slumped down onto the ground, leaning against the tree and leaning his head back to rest on it. He was hurt worse than he realized, but he refused to admit it at the time.
"Our children knew exactly who to turn to at a time like this...doesn't that make you proud?" he said weakly.

Something was definately different, but what it was, Sean couldn't exactly put his paw on. Why was his mother so intent on being kind to them, when she wasn't even there at the massacre? He never even knew why she had left anyway, and his pappa had never really disclosed any information. Probably all in good time, though time was of the essence now.
By now Cealla had stepped closer to his mother and explained tentatively what had happened, in very brief detail, but instead of coming just as close, Sean tucked his tail slightly between his legs and slumped backwards, ramming himself into the bottom of a dead tree. It was comforting that at least one of the two pups were strong enough to not be scared, but this didn't occur to him. He was just too focused on the past with his mother.
That is what happens when she threatens to slit your throat. More crushed leaves, and another firgure emerged, but this one was the one he felt so much more safe with. But to an extent, so this kept the little grey lycan in his poised, shaking place. He wasn't able to protect Sean and the other pups, so what if Sealla turned on them all? Who would protect him? Who would protect Cealla?
Paranoia dabbed into his mind, touching each nerve. More whimpering lept from his closed muzzle as he pressed himself harder against the tree behind him, as if wanting to just be swallowed up by the bark and go unnoticed.
