Eurus gawked as Aetern spoke his name, his voice seemed so perfect, his figure was the same since Eurus last saw him. A whirrl of emotions over came him, making him launch up and wrap his arms around Aetern without thought.
Tears began to pour down Eurus' face uncontrollably, hitting Aetern's white vest as he pressed his face against his shoulder. "I thought you died Aetern,"
'Aetern...'
"If Aetern was there, you'd know that already!" 'I am Aetern, can't you tell Eurus?'
'He's pretty cute, brother.' "Ahh, Aetern's okay. Don't get any ideas."
'Is this how you want to die, b*stard?!'
"Anasti...."
Eurus jerked away from Aetern and staggered backwards, holding his head in disbelief. Why can't these voices stop? Why won't these meories just go away? He didn't know anymore, whether he was dreaming, whether this was reality; whether to be happy, or sad.
"Why?" Eurus muttered to the ground as his hands slowly dropped. "Why?! Why did she have to die?!! Why did you try to kill me?! Why am I standing here, while my sister is nothing shadows and dust?!" He thrashed out at Aetern, smacking his fist into Aetern's shoulder and knocking Aetern back a few steps. "Why did you kill her?!!!"

Aetern smiled when Eurus embraced him, and also returned the embrace to his old friend. But as soon as he was about to speak, he was pushed away. Eurus didn't just push him away, but he punched him too. As he was propelled backwards by the force, tears came to his eyes.
'Eurus...my old friend...who did I kill? What have I done to trouble you in this way?' He spoke into Eurus's mind, and he closed his eyes. But then, it occured to him.
"Eurus...what have those humans done to your mind?" He walked back over to his friend, but then his eye wandered over to Mai. "Ah. And who is this lovely lady?" He sensed the aura immediately, this was no human.

Eurus crumbled to the ground and held his head, sobbing quietly into the night. "No, go away, I want the voices to stop. They won't shut up. Tell them to go away, Aetern. I can't hear myself think...." He noticed Aetern look at Mai, and crawled in between them. He hissed at Aetern, curling into a ball, blood tears stained and spread across his face.
"Don't, touch her," Eurus said in a low growl, pulling his feet close to his body. He was still suffering from the blast that Kaiser attacked him with, scars lining his arms and legs.

'Eurus, I can't make them go away, but I can heal your wounds.' Aetern hummed to himself, as the hum turned into a song that he began to sing, which could be recognized by any powerful wizard as the 'Phoenix Song'.
The Song turned into visable notes, until it formed in his hands as a shining red jewel, the Phoenix Soul. "I have long lost this treasure, but now it has returned to me." He walked over to Eurus, and placed it around his neck, and watched as his fierce wounds died away.
When all wounds were gone, he took the necklace off again, and looked over at the female, "Aetern Eternelia. I'm a Demon Sage, also the Demon Lord of the West."

Mai looked on helplessly as Eurus was torn between emotions, battling his own mind. She gritted her sharp teeth nervously as he retreated to the ground, after delivering a blow to the other Demon. Mai considered moving forward as she usually did, only this time she was stopped. Instead Aetern spoke to her, causing her to stand her ground and listen to what he had to say.
"Ah. And who is this lovely lady?"
He ushered, coaxing her eyes up to his. Her blood-coloured eyes faded a little, as if protecting her thoughts. She hesitated and stepped back a little, lifting the sills of her wide eyes in curiosity. Eurus mumbled to the left of her, cursing the voices in his head while Aetern's emerald eyes held Mai's.
"Don't, touch her,"
Eurus growled, causing Mai to break eye contact and lower herself to Eurus' side as he crawled between her and Aetern protectively. She rested a cold hand on his cheek, softly brushing the hair from his face and absent mindedly hushing him as she so often did. "Shhh.." Her tone was quiet, just audible as she kneeled beside Eurus, her eyes gazing back up to Aetern as he began to sing.
The Demoness was partially entranced by his song, the phoenix song. The notes became visible and slowly dissolved into a pendant that the man tied gently around Eurus' neck, despite Mai's growing curiosity and judgement.
A few moments of silence passed with Eurus' occassional muffled growl, most likely to the voices he was burdened with. Then Aetern removed the necklace and spoke to the Demoness once again, tracing her attention once again to his face. She hesitated gravely and turned to look once at Eurus before answering in a soft latin-tainted voice.
"Maí Lé Rosà..Daughter of the Demon Lord to the North.." She paused, wondering how to continue. She decided to simplify her status and test his reaction. "..Hells Princess" She finished with a small smirk, the simplicity of the sentence held such a hidden meaning, one that he might find out over time. She looked up at Aetern again, the deep scarlet of her eyes had returned.

"Hell's Princess, eh?" said Aetern, raising an eyebrow at the Demoness, "I figured you were a Fallen Angel, at first glance, though I have truly forgotten what a Western Demon looks like now, I have been gone from there for so long." He laughed a bit, at the mention of her father.
"Demon Lord of the North? Yes, I know of him, or more, I know of him from someone else. His kin, his son. The son of the Demon Lord of the North, yes. He was at War with the West, back when I was still seated at it's Throne." The Sage's voice wavered when he spoke of the War in the West, especially at knowledge of how it ended.
"That would make him your brother, no?" Aetern's shining green eyes stared into Mai's scarlet ones, filled with wonder over the Demoness. The last one he had seen was his own sister, Excellia-No, Eurus's sister, Anastaisia. He figured both of them would be absolutely beautiful to the eye of a regular Demon...
...Yet Aetern was no regular Demon.

"That would make him your brother, no?"
Mai's eyes narrowed immediately and she turned away from Aetern, looking first to Eurus, then to the ground. A slice of her ebony wings sounded her irritation. She folded them around herself and stood, refusing to think about 'him'. Yet how could she not, with all the down right sh!t he'd caused, both to her and to her rightful realm.
Oh, how she wished she could answer 'No' to Aetern. No to being related to such a brutal Demon, how could she accept the fact that her blood was part of him, her brother, and he was part of her. She growled somewhere deep in her throat and turned her back on the two, narrowing her eyes at a raven perched on a branch not so far away, no doubt hoping to relish a feast on whatever was left after the attack in the clearing.
With the agility of a cat she flew towards the bird, clawing it as soon as she landed atop the branch, sending hardly a second to pass before black feathers, both from her wings and the birds floated to the ground. Crimson blood soaked the branch, she fought back tears, she wouldn't show this Demon her weakness, though fitfully attacking a raven for no apparent reason would no doubt give it away.
She took a deep breath and curled herself into a sitting position, leaning her back against the trunk of the tree. Her ivory hair swayed behind her and below the branch, and she twirled her fingers lazily, her eyes the equality of the blood on her slender cream-coloured fingers. She dare not look back to the Demon, it was outbursts like this that attacked not only her victim, but her pride as well.
Until she thought of something better to do, Mai sat in silence, a beauty atop the branch of the large oak tree. The crime scene for possibly the fastest murder in history. At least Aetern would know not to touch on the subject of her brother, Damion, again.

Aetern slowly rose a silver eyebrow at the scene before him, "Well, someone's got anger issues...and you didn't really answer my question at all...I might as well act as though the question never happened." He looked over at the dead bird and gasped.
"This...this is an...outrage...an innocent murdered...for the sake of anger!?" He touched the phoenix soul to it, but it did not effect it. "This...creature...can not be healed...." He began to chant, chant words of sorrow and death, and he sobbed as he chanted.
Then, he placed his head near the phoenix soul, and sobbed onto it, making it glow a blood reddish color, and dripped a red liquid onto the raven's body, and the body melted into the ground, and Aetern whispered, 'Return to the planet...return to life....'
After his ceremony was finished, he turned and looked to Mai Le Rosa, "You may not have understood what I said before, I never said I was just a Demon. I said I was a Demon Sage. I am, according to Race, a Demon, yet I respect the life of innocent creatures such as the one who's life you just ended."

"Good for you then." She snapped as a reply, furious at what the man called innocence. Mai dove off the branch and approached Aetern with speed, stopping a few inches from his face with narrowed eyes. Her facial expression turned cold, her eyes flashed a steely silver colour and she stood tall before him.
"Some questions don't need answering." She spat venomously, her hair being whipped up in a sharp breeze that blew behind the two. "An innocent murdered for the sake of anger.." She repeated his words slowly, making each sound as if it had no meaning. "You call that an outrage?" She scolded, shaking her head and turning away from him, walking forward a little ways before turning around and locking eyes with him again.
"That was not an outrage. That was an act of weakness on my own behalf. You think that creature cannot be healed?" She paused, looing to the ground. She caught her words again and continued, walking up to Aetern and taking one of his hands in her own. She placed it over her chest, where her heart would be. It was still and her eyes fell from his and gazed to the ground.
"Please tell me Aetern," She began quietly, her voice sounding a little more like herself again. "Can this creature be healed?" She looked up to those glassy green eyes again and became lost in them, had she really meant to kill the raven? No, of course not. Would Aetern understand the other side of her, Damions side?...

"The healing of this creature is in the eye of the beholder," said the Sage, returning the gaze into her crimson eyes, filled with anger, the eyes that all fallen angels shared, "It has returned to the planet, where it will rest forever. It has healing from the pressures of survival...but it will never fly in these free woods again."
He knew now, that the Fallen Angel Princess was confused. Her mind had probably thought him to be just like Kaiser, completely a pacifist. How wrong she was... "My idea of an innocent, Mai Le Rosa, is one who is too oblivious to war and intelligent craft.
"A human is not an innocent, and neither are Demons."

Eurus had clasped his hands over his ears for the entire conversation between Mai and Aetern, vibrating badly. His eyes were closed as if to block out everything around him, so he couldn't hear Aetern's voice, nor see him.
Then the smell of blood hit his nostrils.
"Mai?" Eurus jerked his head up and swayed uneasily, moving his hands from his ears to the ground beneath him. He spun around and caught sight of the bird carcass shredded, causing him to look back at Aetern. He decided to watch this time around instead, and backed up.
"The healing of this creature is in the eye of the beholder,"
Stifling a scream, Eurus clasped his head once again and looked around. Horrid memories flashed before his mind, ones he'd rather live without, or die to free himself of these.
"My idea of an innocent, Mai Le Rosa, is one who is too oblivious to war and intelligent craft. A human is not an innocent, and neither are Demons."
Then Eurus snapped.
".... Heheh, innocence...." Eurus chuckled dryly, pulling his hands down. His low chuckle turned into an outburst of laughter as he stood up, leaning against a tree. "Did you ever think, that my little girl was innocent, before she was slaughtered? Hmm?" He walked over to Aetern and smiled before cranking Aetern in the face and flooring him. "Did you ever think of that?!"
Grabbing Aetern by the throat, Eurus slammed him into a tree, holding Aetern off the ground. "Did you enjoy yourself, when you tried killing me that night? How you beat me half-to-death? How you watched as Meriel shot me with those barbed arrows until I couldn't move?"
'Why, I am Aetern! Can't you see?'
Eurus snapped his head away as the memory washed back to him, the very same night his sister died. "My sister is dead, my daughter is dead, and now you want me to die as well?" He threw Aetern away, taking a few drawn out breaths before turning around. "I will kill them all! Everyone who was there, everyone in the world! Meriel, Kalyn, Amiri, Cole, Serenity, Ferrion, Kaiser, even you!"
I'm cold again....

Aetern was shocked when Eurus jumped up from his spot, muttering something about 'his little girl' and 'innocence'. What happened to Isabell? Could she have possibly be dead? "I don't know why you want to kill me." spoke Aetern, "But if that is the fate that you want me to have, I will have to resort to force."
The punch to the face was his answer, and he laid on the ground, his white hair covering his eyes. 'Ha! Aetern, how do you feel now, gonna get yourself beaten up by a girl?' 'Leave me alone Excellia! Why do we always have to fight like this?' 'Heh little bro, I'm only trying to toughen you up!'
"...and she did toughen me up," mumbled Aetern and he looked up at Eurus and smirked, "You may not understand something. Kaiser is created from me, so Kaiser's words that day 'I am Aetern!' are partly true, and Kaiser is me, but I am not Kaiser. So I suggest you not fight your old friend like an enemy."

Mai didn't think Aetern was like Kaiser at all. Infact he was similar to a positive clone of the Valkerie, for this was a Demon Sage, one who respected nature and beings, no matter how evil or insignificant. She mentally smiled, but stepped away as he answered, she nodded, though she knew he hadn't entirely understood the meaning of her question. Could it be that his strength was forgiveness? The Demoness couldn't tell, yet.
"Mai?"
Eurus called gently, and Mai's attention snapped towards the Demon immediately. Eurus was in a terrible state, and it took a fair bit of Mai's concentration to stop her from walking over and kneeling by him to offer help. She looked back at Aetern as he bgan to speak again.
"My idea of an innocent, Mai Le Rosa, is one who is too oblivious to war and intelligent craft."
She caught the basic meaning in his words and revealed her smile, though it was not one of agreement, in simplicity, it was curiosity, again. The Demoness shifted her boots on the forest floor and turned her gaze to follow the black lace tying them securely. Despite her calculated movements, her mind was elsewhere.
Mai heard Eurus chuckled dryly in the background about innocence. She could sense what was coming. The Demoness raised a brow at Aetern quickly, perhaps in warning, or in a 'now you've done it' manner. Anywho, whichever way, her intentions were to stay out of what was sure to happen next. She moved backwards and stopped as her back hit a tree. She waited, patiently for the predictable outburst of the Demon she had come to know so well.
Sure enough, Aetern's words had sparked Eurus' past and Mai frowned, it was the last thing that needed to happen after everything Eurus had been through. The Demon grabbed Aetern by his throat and thrust him backwards into a nearby tree, lifting him angrily and spitting venom-lined words at him fiercly.
"My sister is dead, my daughter is dead, and now you want me to die as well?"
Eurus cried furiously, Mai's face was emotionless, she stood perfectly still. Eurus screamed threats, he would kill everyone. Mai silently watched, conjecturally staring over at Aetern as he was thrown to the ground.
"You may not understand something. Kaiser is created from me, so Kaiser's words that day 'I am Aetern!' are partly true, and Kaiser is me, but I am not Kaiser. So I suggest you not fight your old friend like an enemy."
'An enemy'...Not the best of words to throw at Eurus. Mai smirked, corssing her arms and resting her full weight on the tree effortlessly. This was indeed going to be interesting. Her dark eyes narrowed intensly, Kaiser was Aetern? No...She didn't believe it, or rather, she wouldn't believe it, until perhaps it was proven.

Aetern's eyes looked back at Eurus. "Isabell I would never kill...not because she wasn't innocent, but because she was...a friend." Aetern could think to himself, was Isabell innocent? Was a child truly innocence? And as he thought that, tears came down his face. "A child...a child is not innocent, Eurus. I should know." He said through the tears, "I was a child, and hundreds, let alone thousands of men died because I wanted them to!"
"Innocent is something that would never kill another being and enjoy it, and I am not innocent! Isabell would, Eurus, Isabell would kill another being for the sake of you and enjoy it! As would you, as would Anastaisia, as would I!" His anger was taking control of him slowly.
"If it is hate you want, Eurus, then it is hate you will recieve. It is companionship you want, it is companionship you will recieve!" Never again... Aetern grabbed his forehead, trying to block the memories. NEVER AGAIN!
"I don't understand you, Eurus, how can you treat an old friend this way? Why do you see me as your enemy? Kaiser is dead now, the Kghantos has taken him from us."

Eurus looked around, grabbing his forehead in frusteration. "I don't know anymore Aetern, I just don't! What the f*ck is innocence? Is death even better then this f*cking hell I'm suffering through right now?! Why can't I just see my family again?!" Blood poured down his face from the holes he had dug into his forehead, coating his collar even worse in blood.
"I just want to die," Eurus pressed his head against the tree trunk, dropping his hands down to his sides and letting out a pained scream. "I just want to see them again...." He slid down the tree and landed on the ground, his body shaking with sobs.
Shifting his gaze from the ground to Aetern, Eurus breathed heavily as his eyes slid shut. "Maybe if you killed me, I'd die happy, instead of suffering so much pain instead...."
