Her triumph made her forget for a moment just what a precarious position she'd placed herself in to catch the ever-elusive Snitch, and it nearly ended up in ignonimy. A quick shift of her weight and two hands along the broom handle until she caught her balance prevented her from ending her last Quidditch game by falling from her broom.
Flushed and grinning, she nudged her Firebolt into a gentle descent, but rather than land right away, she paused to go by the Ravenclaw team, all of whom looked crestfallen. "You guys played well," she congratulated them sincerely, giving them a brief, respectful nod. She wasn't sure she'd ever met a one of them before.
Her broom streaked forward again, finishing its dive, and Hikalyn was off the broom before it had even finished moving, landing lightly a few feet away from Marina. She offered the girl a grin and reached out with one hand to grab her Firebolt, which was hovering obediently in midair.

Teagan's fingers had begun to turn purple because of all the pressure and constance use of the. The ball she deflected from Lynette had most certainly hit her. Pain wreaked itself through the swelling appendages, but Teagan ignored it. She was good at ignoring pain; when her main family was murdered, she had dealt with it. Even though they were different kinds of injury, pain was pain. She firmly kept her grip on the thick bat.
Soon she saw the other team's seeker dart forward and snatch the ever fluttering golden snitch. Teagan cursed, but it was just a game. Good thing she had a rather apathetic personality. The Slytherin seeker proudly held the small orb as cheers erupted from the Slytherins, and Claire's voiced boomed out through the stadium.
”IT’S ALL OVER!” Claire called, lowering her whistle. ”SLYTHERIN HAVE CAUGHT THE SNITCH! THE SNAKES WIN! FINISHING SCORE 190 - 40!”
Teagan quickly descended. As she made her leave, one of the other team's chasers loudly called out with pride; the other chaser nearly dropped the quaffle, but then threw it through the hoops anyway; Sephe looked miserable.
"Good game!" Teagan called out to the other team. It had been a very good match, but it really didn't matter to her. "Oh well," sighed Teagan. She softly landed on the smooth grass, and walked into the changing rooms. There, she took off the quidditch robes. Even though they had lost, Teagan was completely calm about it all.

Lynette slowly eased her broomstick downward, until her feet grazed the ground and she was able to hop off. Immediatly as she fell from the sky, her larger then life game personality shrunk back down into meek little Lynette. She smiled hollowly at the other team.
"Good match!" She called to the Slytherins, leaning her broomstick on her shoulders. She turned slowly and headed immediatly for the comfort of her housemates.
"Nice try, you guys. Excellent try." She said, but that was the last of pep-talk Lynette at least for a little while. Her voice was hoarse and her spirits were low. Maybe I'll go hole up in the dormitories with a book now, she though vaguely.

"Great game, all!" Marina called out jovially, in a manner that completely mismatched her usual demeanor. Her statement was obviously directed most directly at the Ravenclaw team, and it was completely honest. They'd certainly played wonderfully. It's merely come down to catching the snitch, which was out of the control of pretty much everyone.
She grinned at Kalyn in return, still catching her breath, her hair a mess with random strands plastered to the sweat on her forehead. It had been a good match, and for once this year, one that hadn't ended in disappointment.
"I guess I make a rather good chaser, no?" Nina asked with a smile, though it seemed to be more of a statement than a question. She'd never really been too focused on the position, but she seemed just as proficient there as she was as beater, though it could merely be because she simply HAD to be.

Persephone looked at Lynnette. SHe looked bad too. "Good game!" She called over to the Slytherins, but she was angery at herself. She headed to get changed and then hurry to the common room.

Hikalyn lifted a hand in a wave to acknowledge the congratulations directed at them by the Ravenclaw players, but her attention remained mostly focused on her successful companions. Her grin broadened a bit as she nodded to Marina. "I guess you do. You played well," she added, and for all that her tone was light, she meant the words. And, even though she knew it wouldn't last, she had to admit it felt nice to be able to talk to her old friend, just for once, like nothing had changed.
Still grinning, she turned her attention to Art. "Glad you could make it," she remarked, half-teasing, entirely sincere. "You had me worried for a bit there, I admit." Granted, three players was still not that wonderful a turnout, but it was better than two.
She reached up in a habitual gesture to brush her black hair out of her eyes, surprised to notice the faint sheen of perspiration on her forehead. She hadn't really noticed the heat until now--or maybe she'd just been playing harder than she'd realized....
"Well, shall we?" she asked her two friends, gesturing with a green-draped arm towards the change rooms, off of the Pitch.
