Claire walked on to the pitch carrying her broom. She looked up to see the players taking their places in the air.
She leant down to the chest and released the Bludgers, followed by the small golden snitch that she followed with her eyes up to the purple sky left by the setting sun in the west.
Standing back up straight, holding the Quaffle, her whistle poised at her mouth. Blowing a sharp sound she threw it up into the air and followed on her broom.
Claire saw the Quaffle immediately get intercepted by....

At least the weather was reasonable. The morning of the Quidditch match had dawned bright, but not too bright to hinder the vision of the teams playing. Hayzie stepped out onto the Quidditch pitch donned in red and yellow robes, the Gryffindor colours she proudly wore on a daily basis. A small smile came on her face. Nerves wouldn’t show through. Not today. Today was her second game, albeit her first as a Chaser. How she had missed or got replaced on the team for various other games was beyond her, but all that mattered was the here and now.
“Good luck, guys,” she said, turning around to face them. “Just do your best, okay?” With those words, the vice-captain soared into the air, doing a few laps of the pitch before meeting back in the middle and her and Laura both shook the hands of the Slytherin captain and vice-captain. She was friends with both and now they were now faced against each other, each wanting their own team to win. Time for friendliness had gone, and time for business had started.
Claire blew the whistle a few seconds later, and the bright red Quaffle flew into the air, landing almost too easily in Hayz’s hands. Not pausing for anything, the blonde began to fly towards the goal hoops. They were already in sight. A Slytherin beater had already tried to hit her with the evil black bludger, but the slight girl had dodged each one narrowly, smiling a little as she was reminded of Elorra’s bludgers almost hitting her.
That tiny thought had caused her to become distracted, and one of the bludgers had been aimed at the tail of her broom. As it hit, the blonde jolted and the ball left her hands, heading towards the ground. “Go Hayzie,” she muttered, swooping down to try and get it back before anyone else caught hold of it.

And now we prove ourselves.
Laura's mouth was set in a grim line as she kicked off hard from the ground, feeling her heart lifting into her throat as she shot high into the sky, the cruel wind pulling at her hair she had so painstakingly secured.
Bighting down on her emotions, she channelled the adrenalin that sought to blind her sense, and focused entirely on the match. They could do it, they had been training...the weather shouldn't be an issue, because they'd played in identical conditions. It all depended on her team...
She swallowed hard, knowing full well that they were somewhat raw, the majority of which never having played a match before. But no matter, she reminded herself. We're here to play, and we can do it.
"COME ON GRYFFINDOR!" she yelled across the howling wind, her knuckles tightly gripping the highly polished handle of her SuperNova, as she leaned forward, speeding towards the quaffle which had just fallen out of her team mate’s hands.
Quickly, Laura headed further down the pitch, hoping to score before the Slytherin team. She couldn’t let her team down. They had come to show the Slytherins that they could win, and nothing else.

Students of all Houses were on their feet, shouting and cheering wildly, but the roar of the crowd was no louder than the roar of adrenalin that pounded in Hikalyn's ears as she strode out onto the Pitch, the Firebolt that Meriel had given her so long ago held firmly in one hand. If it was possible, the volume from the quadrant of the stands that seated the Slytherin students increased as the members of the Quidditch team filed onto the Pitch, all garbed in the resplendent green-and-silver robes of the team.
Allowing herself to be completely caught up in the emotions and the excitement of the moment, Kalyn lifted one arm in a brief wave to acknowledge those up in the stands, smiling widely as she, along with the other players lined up on the Pitch, swung one leg over the broom that hovered obediently in front of her. She gave the members of the Gryffindor team a quick nod of respect, then turned her attention from the red-and-gold clad students entirely. Her leg muscles tensed as she turned her intent amethyst gaze to Claire, holding the whistle that would signal the start of the game. The Headmistress was lifting it to her lips...
A high, clear rush of air signaled the beginning of the Quidditch game. Pushing hard on the springy ground with the balls of her feet, Kalyn manuevered her broom into the air, grinning at the feel of cold wind rushing in her face. A stray lock of hair fell out of the bun that she'd done it up into, but she brushed it quickly out of her eyes. With the same motion she gave her team a wave, and then guided her Firebolt up into a steep ascent, above the main action, casting her eyes about in search of that telltale glimmer of gold...

Squee raced toward the blonde, angry at herself for not catching it.
'We have to win I'm not gonna let this turn out like Hufflepuff.' She thought bitterly as ther firebolt got ever closer to The Gryffindor Chaser, dodging Bludgers, and players, now blurs of Green Silver Red and gold.

Hayzie could see Squee getting closer to Laura by the second. She had to do something. Forcing her broom to increase speed again, the blonde pulled up beside Laura and continued to fly beside her, just in case the opposing Chaser tried something.

Protege was doing his best to keep up with everything that was going on in the match. As soon as the quaffle went up, things started speeding up. Doing his best to keep up with things, he saw one Gryffindor catch the quaffle, but then drop it, which her team mate caught. Silently cursing himself for not speeding along fast enough, he darted along, making sure that he was ready in the event that there was a chance for a steal.

Ark Shindo walked out of the dressing room, Firebolt in hand. He was going to play Chaser but had to fill in as Seeker at the last moment. Sighing, he kicked off as hard as he could, matching heights with the other Seeker. "Go Ark! Go!" came the thought and he launched off, searching for the littleist ball worth so much.

So far so good. Hayzie caught the Quaffle off Laura and headed towards the hoops again. This was it... or not.
Zooming back down the pitch, her green eyes were set on the goal hoops, only straying now and again either side to watch for bludgers. The back of her broom had suffered a little damage right at the beginning of the game, and she couldn’t afford any more to be done. Giving a small smile, the blonde gave a small, innocent smile to the Slytherin keeper before aiming and firing the scarlet ball towards the right hoop….
And it was instantly caught by the keeper who obviously knew which way she was going to go. “Next time,” she muttered. “Next time.”

Laura passed the quaffle to her once more after a game of passes, and the blonde Prefect knew that it was her time to score her first ever goal for Gryffindor. It had to be done. If it wasn’t done tonight, then it would never be done. If the potion didn’t turn out right, this match would possibly be her final chance to shine.
How she was going to take that chance.
Once again securing the Quaffle under her right arm, Hayzie sped towards the goal hoops, pushing her Nimbus 2000 as fast as it would go. It was one of the more recent versions of the broom but it was steadily suffering from wear and tear. However it seemed to be doing its job today.
“Come on, come on, come on,” she gently persuaded it, forcing it to go faster.
Although Hayz’s eyes were firmly fixed on the left hoop, the red ball was aimed towards the centre hoop, throwing the keeper completely off, and the wooden scarlet ball soared through the hoop in a perfect arch.
“Oh yes!” she shouted cheerfully, doing a quick loop-the-loop before soaring away again, waiting for the ball to come back in to play. There was no way she was going to celebrate too early on, it would only jinx the overall game knowing her luck.

Her eyes watered witht he wind whipping into them, but her eyes still on the ball, whan another chaser sped into view. She sped foward, willing her broom to go faster, unaware of anything else, except the ball 'Drop it Come On Drop it' she willed desperately
And then, Hayzie had the ball, shot at the goal post and the keeper caught it, throwing it and Laura caught it. Passing it to hayzie, who scored.
She caught the dropping ball, angry, and sped off in the other directoon

Hayzie has sped to the the goal and successfully scored. Claire magnified her voice, "GRYFFINDOR SCORE! 10-NIL TO GRYFFINDOR!"

Marina was obviously a bit out of it, getting herself into the game a few moments after most of the players. By the time the wind in her hair brought her back to her senses, Gryffindor already had sent the quaffle through the hoops. Nina cursed under her breath, accelerating as a Slytherin got possession. She swerved to the defensive, determined to stop any bludger or attack that might come Squee's way.

"AN MAGIC HORIZONS RECORD EVERYONE! THE SNITCH HAS BEEN CAUGHT BY THE GRYFFINDOR TEAM! THE GAME IS WON, 160 – 0!" Claire brought her broom down to the floor and dismounted.
