Rezna looked back at Aylen with raised eyebrows. "All right, let's get some things straight. I'm very grateful you want to teach me, but please don't treat me like a child. I may be below you in school years, but otherwise you aren't my elder by quite as many years as you wish, sir." She put a little emphasis on the end. "I don't mean to be curt to you Aylen, but please understand, my brother Elexi has treated me too much like a child for me to ever like it. Sorry."
Taking a deep, calming breath, she continued, "Yes, I remember our first lesson. The harder you lean on the broom the faster you go. What now?"

Aylen looked confusedly at Rezna after her outburst. "Uhh...okay," he said hesitantly, not sure of what he had said to offend her. "Sorry?" He shrugged helplessly. "If you want to go higher, pull up on the handle, and vice versa for diving. Lesson One applies to these movements too. See?" He mounted his broom and pointed the broomstick towards the sky. He immediately shot upwards. He flew around in a circle and dived back down. He stopped just in front of Rezna and grinned at her. "Did you get that?"

She confused too many people to be surprised by Aylen's reaction to her loss of control. She shrugged at his apology.
"You don't need to apologize, it's fine. Now let's see if I understood you well enough."
With that, Rezna mounted her broom and kicked off the ground pulling up hard on the handle. She flew so quickly into the air with such a vertical angle, she almost let go of the broom out of fright. But then quickly lowered the handle to slow and stop in midair. Then more slowly she turned around and flew down to where Aylen hovered. The rush of the air around her and the freedom she felt overpowered all her fears. She had always wanted to fly. Smiling she looked at him and awaited the next set of instructions.

(ooc: >_< Out of ideas...) "You have to have a clear idea on where you want to go. If you don't know, your broom won't know either." Aylen grinned wickedly. "Now, let's play dodgeball." He somehow managed to summon up some soft balls successfully and sent them zooming at the blond Hufflepuff.

Rezna had just managed to grasp what Aylen said as three balls went zooming towards her six perch feet above the ground. She couldn't help but let out a loud gasp as she grasped her broom handle and flew in the opposite direction the balls were heading. However, to her surprise the balls seemed to be enchanted to follow her and turned right around sticking to her flight pattern.
"Aylen!" she cried out as she settled her destination to be somewhere behind the broom shed which happened to be behind the boy. "You will pay for this!"
Excitement coursing through her, she dived below him to get away from the balls. As she did so she pulled out her own wand from inside her robes. Struggling to keep her balance, she was ready to stun the balls if need be. Yet, as she turned her head to see what was going on behind her, she laughed out evilly as she saw her tailgaters flying straight at Aylen instead of her.

Aylen laughed as Rezna ducked behind the shed in a frantic attempt to give the balls the slip. “You’ll pay for this!” Rezna threatened as she dove behind the redhead. The only response from him was a grin. “Oy, Rez!” Aylen yelled. “No wands allowed!” This was as far as he got before one ball whizzed past his left ear. It only took him a second to realize what had happened after he heard Rezna’s maniacal laugh. He didn’t have time to think about it, though. The first ball was turned back at him already, and he was sure the other two weren’t far behind. Aylen leaned hard to his right, executing a perfect barrel roll, then raced off to the other side of the Quidditch Field, the spheres in hot pursuit. “Not fair!” he called out plaintively.

Laughing, Rezna floated lightly up from behind the shed. Seeing as there were no wands allowed, she hid hers back in her robes. She didn't need it after all since the balls were off her back and now attacking Aylen.
The red head was a blur as he flew away from her, under attack.
"You asked for it!" Rezna yelled back as she saw him speed away.
Yet she wanted to see what was happening to him, since she'd probably never see her teacher under dodge ball attack ever again. So she leaned on her broom and shot after him herself. The feeling was magical as she flew through the air, her blond hair streaming behind her.
She came up by Aylen, enjoying the sight. Aidana would never let him forget this when she heard about it, Rezna was going to make sure of that. But it was only too late that she realized that she was quite unprotected out in the open field. Quickly she scanned the field above, below and on all sides of her for any sigh of the boy and his three balls.
"Oh no," Rezna thought hurriedly. She lost them. "This is not good."

Suddenly a ball bopped her on the head. There was Aylen, his features artfully arranged into a comical look of grief. “Why did you do that?” He tossed the ball to and fro in his hands. The other two had apparently been magicked away. “And I was having so much fun!” He grinned. “I should do it more often.” Just for a change, he hung upside down on his broom from his knees. “The point of that was to see if you could maneuver to get away from them. Was I surprised when my dad pulled that one on me when he was teaching me to fly.” His grin grew wider. “I never thought of doing what you did. I need to do that to Aidana sometime.”

"Thanks for the compliment. I did learn to fly better, although I thought it was one of your tricks and not an actual lesson," she laughed out and began to descend in case he had more ideas in mind. "Don't do that to Aidana though; she'll kill me if she finds out that I gave you the idea. But to tell you the truth, flying is not as scary as I imagined it to be. And look, I haven't fallen yet!" She raised her arms to do a mock cheer.
As she just jinxed herself, it was little surprise to her as she felt her body lightly lean to the right with a loss of balance. Rezna tried to swing her self back but it was too late, and soon she was falling to the green grass below. It was lucky that it was only a four or so foot drop down. Rezna landed on her side with a grunt and pushed herself up to feel for broken ribs. Through her grimace of pain, she still tried to smile as she said, "Scratch that. But it had to happen sometime!"

Aylen's grin only grew wider. "Now that was a Hawkins twin moment right there," he commented. "You okay? I think that's enough flying for now." He swooped down by the blond and offered her a hand. "You don't need to go to the Hospital Wing, do you?" He glanced worriedly at his friend. "Even a fall from five inches could be serious if you land wrong. I would know..." Aylen smacked his head. "That's what it was! I didn't teach you how to land! Stupid..."

Rezna smiled without answering as she clenched her teeth at the pain. Still, she accepted his hand and let him pull her up to her feet. Her side hurt but it didn't feel serious.
"Yes," she finally said with a grin, "I'm fine, and yes I think that was enough for today. You're really a great teacher Aylen, thanks for everything." She inclined her head in gratitude and gave him the best smile she could muster. Then she reached down for her broom, that thankfully fell down with her, and began to walk back to the broom shed.
