Claire stepped onto the sodden pitch and felt her foot sink a little. She looked up to see the dark clouds that produced the rain that would impair the players for the next few hours.
Striding to the centre of the pitch, Claire lifted the lid of a large box to reveal the two bludgers, the Quaffle and the Snitch, all held down under the leather straps, except the snitch, which was under a small metal cap.
Lifting the cap, she picked out the Snitch, held it from her and watched as its wings unraveled and it flew straight up into the sky.
Claire followed it with her eyes but it soon disappeared into the clouds that were making it feel much later than only dusk. Leaning down she let the bludgers escape the box’s hold. Picking up the Quaffle, Claire pursed her whistle at her lips.
A sharp blast and the Quaffle was hurled straight up in the air and was caught by…<br>

Wyl zoomed in and grabbed the Quaffle. He whooped with glee and sped eagerly toward the goals, looking for someone to pass to.

Jade was panicking!! Her entire team minus her weren't there!
So, pulling the bat up her arm, she decided that she had to play chaser today. She rocketed towards the ball and swept up into the steam towards the goals.

Coming across a Bludger, she whacked it up towards Wyl, hoping to dislodge his grip.

Ace zoomed onto the Pitch, circling the Pitch every now and again, occasionally darting back and forth, his piercing eyes sweeping the space around his for a glimpse of the little Golden Snitch that would be the key to the Hufflepuffs victory.
The roaring crowd seemed to spur him on through the torrential rain that had soaked his Quidditch robes completely. Feeling a lot heavier than usual on his broom was not going to be an advantage; he’d never even practised flying in the rain before. Cursing himself for not preparing for the potential situation, he flew in another trailing circle, his eyes fighting to see from behind his straggly mane of wet hair.
“Come on, Hufflepuffs,” he muttered between gritted teeth.

Wyl looked up in alarm and ducked, pointing his broom down and dodged the Bludger flying at him.
“That was close.” He said as he righted himself and flew toward the goals once again.

So sad the little girl, who lost it all before she got it. It's no wonder she doesn't talk.

Mary walked out onto the pitch and waited in her chaser position, hoping for the whistle to set the game into motion. Once it did she was up off the pitch and into the air in barely a second. Her small frame made her look like she was better suited for seeker work, but her agility at dodging through players and bludgers proved to be a definite plus for a chaser.
She waited patiently for one of the opposing teams chasers to snatch the quaffle, and when they did that’s when her quick form took action. Diving underneath them and then coming up hard, she used her broom and body to badly jostle them, waiting for that one split second where they would grab their broom with both hands. When they finally did she punched out hard and knocked the quaffle from their arms, grabbing it herself and careening off into the mass of players.
Zooming in and out of the players and staying near her teammates, especially the beaters, she went directly for the goal posts. She wasn’t going to let anything distract her from her target at the far end of the field, which was rapidly approaching.

Jade nearly growled in frustration. It felt like she had the entire weight of the team on her shoulders... and in all actuality, she did. The rain only made things worse as cold rivulets began to snake down into her robes, down her neck. Her grip on her broom was also becoming difficult as she kept swinging at the bludgers whenever she saw one.
"The team needs a chaser, Jade!" She told herself and spurred on her broom.

OOC: Sorry I'm late!
IC:
Silver flew nervously onto the pitch. Her hands were shaking. She had never played on a real pitch before, only in the fields or backyards of people she knew back home. Looking around her she saw all the other players gripping their brooms tightly, faces set in a determined manner, and her feeling of nervousness intensified. She knew she wasn’t good enough for this, but Ace was a very insistent person; and now here she was, playing for the Cup.
Claire threw the Quaffle into the air and blew the whistle. Silver was the only Hufflepuff to hesitate – the rest of the team threw themselves into action straight away. Taking a such a deep breath that her lings hurt from the cold air, she zoomed into the thick of the game, and her usual feeling of happiness in flight settled in, and she grabbed the Quaffle that was passed from her team-mate quickly and dodged a Bludger that was flying towards her head.
Wow this is fantastic! she thought to herself as a Ravenclaw intercepted her pass. I love it!

Wyl realised that he had dropped the Quaffle in dodging the Bludger and was relived when Mary took it again.
He bent lower to his broom and zoomed to fly alongside her.
"Good morning!" He called. "It looks like rain!" He grinned, as usual.

Furrowing her brow, she saw an oncoming bludger and sited Mary. With a mighty thwack! she sent the ball towards her, not taking the time to feel relieved as she hit the Chaser's broom, sending her spinning!

Someone – Silver couldn’t see who because of the rain that was pouring like a sheet of water between every player – passed her the Quaffle, and she reached for it quickly, moving forward on her broom without holding on.
It was only when she saw the bludger coming straight for her that she realised her mistake. In an instant, she had to make up her mind – Quaffle or broom? Her hands quickly flew to her broom as the bludger hit her shoulder, spinning her crazily as she yelped in pain, noticing dimly that the Ravenclaws were now back in possession of the Quaffle thanks to her stupidness.
She set herself right again, and, ignoring the pain in her shoulder, flew back into the game.

Wyl quickly flew forward and retrieved the Quaffle for the Ravenclaws, flying hard toward the goals and drew back his arm, throwing hard.
The Quaffle soared neatly through the left hoop.
"Yes!" Wyl roared, against the sound of the rain. "Uh oh." He said, as though he had only seen it for the first time.

Claire saw as Wyl tossed the Quaffle through the hoop. "HUFFLEPUFF SCORE" resounded around the arena. "10 – 0 to HUFFLEPUFF."

Jade took the Quaffle and sped, sped, sped! She whipped around and sped as fast as she could go towards the Badger goals, not feeling the rain like pins cutting into her face. The rising urgency within her urged her into a desperateness.
It seemed like years, but within seconds, she was in range, rearing back her arm, she threw it for all she was worth!
