I was just in the muggle world and on the first page there were at least 4 threads of people asking for or making avatars.......why not make it a lot easier and have a stickied thread in the muggle world dedicated to avatar requests?
You know...people come in, make their little request, providing their description, then all the little avatar makers pop in with their computer-generated awesomeness *looks pointedly at Sealla*

Well, it would be a mess for one. There would be several conversations going on at once, and that would cause a lot of befuddlement. (love that word ^_^)
If there's going to be a thread like this, it should have rules on posting, such as:
only avatar requests, no replies to avatar requests discuss it through pm have the requester edit his/her post once s/he recieves the avatar

I don't know. I don't really mind the gazillion avi requests. I mean, they all go through fairly quickly, and you can see the avis the person has already made. I think that that makes it easier to ask someone for an avi when you know you already like their other examples (I don't know about the rest of you, but I always feel guilty asking someone for something, then not using it, or, worse yet {shudder}, not liking it, as bad as that sounds). I think with just one post devoted to avi making, it would get too confusing/ competitive, and you (the one asking for the avi) wouldn't feel as connected/involved in the process of making/choosing the avi.

Actually, I rather like the idea, Az. I've been entertaining something similar for some time. Only thing that's stopped me so far is, as other people have pointed out, it would be somewhat of a mess. But once I work out how to keep such a thread in relative order, I'll definitely be posting it. Because yes, I do find all the avvie and siggie requests scattered all over the place rather irritating.

Actully I have to agree with Azreal there are a few too many threads for avis yet a sub-board for avis and sigs only sound good.

I do belive Tori's idea is a stroke of brilliance ^_^ I do like the sound of a sub-board devoted to avatars, then people can put in their reuest threads at the same time individuals can make their threads offering avis ^_^

*grins cheesily at Az and blushes* Eh, *shrugs*
I think I like the stickied thread more, myself, but yeah, my worthless input ^.^

A stickied thread would be a lot more easier for everyone to deal with, because if we made a whole new sub board for it, people would probably just turn it into another Muggle World. But rules would have to be installed for the thread of course. I quite like Aylen's ideas, of nothing but avatar requests and pick up. And maybe a sort of form that the person has to fill out, so it can be like:
Post 1: I want my avvie to have brown hair, blue eyes, wings, etc.
Post 2: Post 1, here's an avvie! -enter image-
See. Nice and clean. And anything that gets in the way of the orderliness, Kalyn can just delete. ^^

Mm, as Amy said....
That sounds good to me... ^.^
And if the person would like to thank you or say they don't want it they can IM you, or modify their post or something...?
