My only argument in favor of this new status is the fact that so many people just traipse on into the FF. In the Tunnels, Cave's, and Lair, people know not to come in, because we kill them
In the FF, people are like, "Oh, they cant kill me, tra la la la la." and when we try to hurt them, no offense to the minority, but the majority of the people go, "Haha, you missed." Which gets REALLY f***ing annoying really quick.

what he said...it must be really annoying for the FF creatures to deal with RPers like that...

Well, I've always been of the opinion that the forest should count as slightly more dangerous. Unlike the tunnels or the lair, we could be much more restrained, killing only completely when in order, but it actually does make it quite hard to roleplay a tough, scary leader when you can't actually carry out any of your threats.
^^; Maybe just by giving us slightly more licence...?

im only fine with it as ive said before if the students get an opportunity to defend themselves
this is after all and RPG...not a place to just kill people off

Of course not. But as I said, it's incredibly difficult to convincingly go "I'm tough and scary and will RIP YOUR EARS OFF!" to kids that turn around, send me abusive IMs and tell me that I "don't have any power" because there is no *serious* warning.
Half of them then proceed to skip off to the lake or Hogsmead, etcetera. Which annoys me greatly, because if I were them, I'd prefer to seek medical attetion for my mauled ears than to sip some butterbeer.

Hahahaha. What Laura said is exactly my opinion, I just can never state it. It really IS annoying when you are technically super powerful, but you can do absolutely NOTHING. Gah, it sucks.
(Chai, who says you can't rip their ears off? Do it.)
Chris has a good point, too. See, the problem with the Valkerie Hideaway (where I live, mind you), is that the only company I ever get in there are my sisters and Ace, and they're hardly on. With the Vampire Lair, the thousands of Vampires consult each other. In the Lycan Tunnels, the many Lycans have little birthing soap operas among each other.
The fact that newbies just get instantly killed in the Auto-Kill zone is the reason why we never really have any good human-monster relations. I'm highly in favor of the 'fighting back' thing.

lol i kind of have a cynical approach to this but yeah if we had someone whos around a lot who could change status then my idea would easily work... all youd need to do is have people actually go in and get attacked like i said...and if they want to RP battle then they do and if they dont then they have to get out immediately...if they refuse to do either and act like their not dead then we get their status changed the idea for their status change would be that they can only post in the hospital wing with that status and i know theres a way to do this so yeah then after they get healed up they can go back into the world

Trust me, Chris, I would LOVE a real duel with a student. Unfortunately, it's rare that any of particulally noteworthy talent decide to pick the forest for their picknicks, so what am I supposed to do? Interesting idea though. And Kai, no matter how many times I bight their ears off, it seems that I'm just sent abuse and the injuries are ignored. Where's the respect?

...there isn't...
Talented roleplayers such as yourself (Chai), Mai and the other forbidden forest creatures deserve more.
Students wander in wanting to roleplay with them, but then quickly learn that they cannot deal with the mess they got themselves into so either cheat their thread by saying they leave, or they send abuse over pm to the other roleplayer. Is that fair? NO.
I think there should be at least some kind of warning to protect the dignity of the forbidden forest inhabitants: otherwise they will just made to look like fools. Like Laura/Chai wisely said...."but it actually does make it quite hard to roleplay a tough, scary leader when you can't actually carry out any of your threats"

also another interesting theory
if you want good RPer to challenge you then the idea is to be nice to them and let them learn
your theory may sound alright but just putting that warning up is in actuality a very counter-productive method
thats why i like my idea

yeah...your idea is good...but who is on often enough (and who is trusted by Claire) to take up that role and be the tstaus changer?
It is a lot of power...I doubt that it will happen...

Hey, though I know you're not reading this, (I'm addressing the victims who simply ignore injury.) but people...this is the Harry Potter world. Do you people read the books? If not, then you don't know anything about this place and it must be really hard to function. What, you do? Ever notice how much Harry gets himself into squabbles and ends up really injured?
And how THE HOSPITAL WING makes him better over night? Why can't you just...go there? Why don't you just HAVE injuries and then go and let Kasey Bear clean up? I know quite well she'd fix you up in only a matter of time...

And besides, can I mention something.... Rikka bit Hayzie's hand off... so what's wrong with you biting ears off? ;D

Nice Kage. I like the fact that I can't die but I am fair. Trust me, my character has been through alot in the forest *glances at Kage* Even stabbed with a spear thingy *coughkagecough* ;D Anyways I guess they should be allowed but with some restraint so that if a newb waltzs in like in the Lair and Tunnels, you can kill them but if the story isn't some newb writing as in simple pop in pop out type, at least play it out abit and not just behead them immediately. Torture them or something. *shrugs*
