It seems to me that over the past few months, Magic Horizons is being graced with an increasing amount of Out Of Character posts, and as lovely as it is to socialise, it's my opinion that people should attempt to restrict their posting in the Muggle World, and focus on Role Playing, which, of course, was the initial point of these forums.
Please don't have a go at me – naturally I can't enforce anything on you, but please consider what I'm saying here. Currently, we have 2166 posts in the Muggle World, with it's nearest competitor at a mere 526 posts in the Entrance Hall. Now honestly, I find that quite saddening.
We have to remember that the point of these Role Playing boards is to Role Play. Just take what I've said into account, and please can we refocus on what Magic Horizons was initially intended for?

*grand gesture towards Laura's post*
Hence one of the most prominent reasons why I have a total of, count 'em now, TWO posts.
So yes. I third it.

Yah, I do need to cut back on my OOC posts. It just seems no one replys to my posts I start. And I can't find any posts to jump into. I guess I need to find other things to fill my time besides MH. lol

-grins- Cheers guys!
Oh, and Autumn, I'm sure if everyone made an effort about RPing, you'd never have a thread not answered, so don't give up on it!

Hmm.
*opens mouth, but then closes it and shakes head*
Never mind.
I'll try to cut down on ooc posts. I've been having great fun in the Muggle World, though. Too bad.

I like OOC posts. They are a diversion from my pathetic character.
...
Okay, I'll try to cut back. Or I'll just have Avisa wander into the Vampire Caves. Whichever.

*aggravated sigh*
Yes, Christopher, but this is a legitimate thread started in the appropriate area written in hopes of pointing out things about the site that, with a little effort, could be improved and would in turn increase the quality of Magical Horizons as a whole. Therefore, it would be rather difficult to role-play such a thing.
Honestly, if you are merely posting for the sole aim of irritating and antagonizing other people, please keep it to yourself. It is highly immature and serves no good purpose. If, however, you have intelligent suggestions and insightful observations to contribute in a tactful manner, please continue.
For future reference, the definition of tact from dictionary.com (yes, I am aware I have done this before, but it bears repeating).
Tact - Acute sensitivity to what is proper and appropriate in dealing with others, including the ability to speak or act without offending.
Valuable, that is.
Please don't take this the wrong way; the last thing I want to do is hurt anyone's feelings, but here we have a brand-spanking new board that is already being cluttered up with boredom threads. I realize that the social aspect of MH is wonderful for making friends, relieving stress, and speaking your mind, but it is all too easy to get carried away in these things and lose focus of the animus, the very heart of this world - the role-playing.
*takes a breath*
Okay. I have been as thoughtful and considerate as I possibly can, but I apologize if I have hurt anyone nonetheless.
Thank you.

Chris, would it be very practical to ask people to cut back on ooc, while ic? I'll leave you to think about it. See you in a couple of decades.
And Amy, I'm not telling you to *stop* posting in the Muggle World, just try to refocus on the Role Play.
Avisa, please don't walk into the Vampire Caves. Death in general is quite bad for the digestion.
EDIT: Thanks, Heather. Didn't see that.
