Daemon had always loved the night sky. It was the only place where things were what they seemed, or at least people had an explanation for the reason for those things. In the sky there was nothing to hurt you, well unless you were up there standing in a meteor shower, that might hurt you. Other than that, it was the perfect place, and Daemon loved to watch it.
Tonight was a clear night, no clouds in sight. Tomorrow was supposed to bring more snow, and then he wouldn't be able to see much. That was why he was up here now, lying on his back staring at the sky. The last time he'd been here, he'd been with Sephe, Dante, and Ki. It'd been along time since he'd seen Dante and Ki, but he'd seen Persephone not to long ago. And he knew that all three of his friends must have been busy.
The whole school was busy now. People were coming back from the holidays, and friends were reuniting. No wonder the whole school was alive! People were finding relatives that had left for a while, and friends were finding other friends that had been gone for too long to them.
Daemon shivered for a moment as a stray breeze blew through the Tower. He had a cloak wrapped around him, but he usually wasn't that cold. He had even added a heating charm to his cloak so that he wouldn't have to worry about being cold tonight. He'd been warm until now.
His violet eyes scanned the stars ahead. There were so many of them up there, and he smiled fondly at his attempts to count the many stars. It reminded him of the school really. So many people, and sometimes you just lost count, but you never forgot someone once you met them, even if you didn't see them for a long time.
He sat up, and looked at the stars. He really hadn't met anyone knew, but he'd heard rumors of the newer kids. Some were nice, some were....only certain censored words described them.
"I wonder if I'll meet any new kids soon..."

Krista footsteps quietly echoed off the stone walls as she climbed the steps to the Astronomy Tower. It seemed like she was here very often; she found it so awakening to the soul.
Becuase of hre many encounters of the Tower at nighttime, she had remembered to dress warmly. Usually she wore a cloak over her pj's, but today she had jeans, a long- sleeved black shirt, which was hidden by a white sweater and her emerald green cloak.
Krista had reached the top. She stepped onto the landing and looked up at the sky. The stars were visable, and the wind was blowing. No clouds in sight. Tomorrow night she would stay in though; it was forecasted to snow.
She walked onto the tower and looked over the edge. She could see the dark ground, with no inhabitants. She finally looked around her. She had figured she would be alone. But no, there was a boy.
A Slytherin boy, in fact. Krista had barely met before. Persephone's boyfriend, she reckoned. She was almost positive it was Sephe and Dante's friend, Deamon.
He obviously hadn't noticed her entrance, because Krista could hear him say, in a whisper almost, "I wonder if I'll meet any new kids soon?"
Krista chuckled and walked over. "Is that an offer?" she asked, sitting down beside him. ""You're Daemon aren't you? Persephone's boyfriend?"

Daemon almost laughed as he heard another's voice. He hadn't exactly expected anyone to reply so quickly...well, he hadn't really expected anyone to reply at all. It was funny, and it put him in even better spirits.
His violet eyes turned to face the speaker. It was a blonde girl that he'd seen in the common room before. They hadn't really spoken before, but he figured that she knew Persephone by the way she spoke. That wasn't really odd being that Sephe seemed to know just about everyone in the entire school.
He moved over a little, clearing a little room for the other girl. At least where he had been sitting was warmer then the bare stone.
"I guess it is. And yep, I'm Daemon, who are you?"
He smiled his playful smirk. His violet eyes were now clear and serene, but a little bit more playful. He really was a good guy once you got to know him.

Krista laughed at the boy's expression, and threw her own smitrk back at him. "I'm Krista. I'm friends with Persephone and Dante Black. Nice to finally meet the famous Daemon," she said and laughed again.
She pulled her legs up to her chest and looked skyward. "I see that you also like the night sky?" she asked.

Daemon smiled slightly to Krista's response. Most definetly she was a friend of Sephe's and Dante's. She gave off that light feeling and hidden knowledge that his friend and girlfriend also seemed to radiat. And whenever he'd met one of their friends before, he'd been able to tell by the way they just were that, they had all been drawn together by that radiance.
"I'm famous? Wow, I never knew!" His words were light and sincere, the manner of friend joking with a friend, and you could tell that no sarcasm was hinted there. Daemon really was a good guy.
"But I think I've heard of you too. The name sounds familiar.." He furrowed his brow trying to think back, but he couldn't remember exactly when.
"Ah well. I do like the night sky though. I think it's stunning, especially in the winter. You can see every lit dot of a star now, not like during the spring when clouds are everywhere."

Krista also smiled at Daemon's words. He seemed to be one of those guy's you could trust with everything, that could be a funny and serious type, but who could always help you out with a problem.
"I like to come up here and reflect on what's going on with my life. So far, I haven't realized anything important here. But, something great happened on this very tower," Krista said myseriously. She looked down at her feet, and then back her at Daemon.
"I met Persephone here one night. First time I ever met her. You guys must be a lot alike, both being up here at night, just to watch the night sky." Krista smiled again.

"Yeah. I first met her up here one day. I was just looking up at the stars, and then she came and sat down with me. I think...I think that she likes to wish on stars. She just...seems that way. How 'bout you? Do you wish on the stars?"
A lazy smile crossed his face, and then transformed into his playful smirk. His violet eyes were both full of happiness and reminsence. He turned to look at Krista. She seemed to be a lot like himself, coming up here and trying to figure things out. That was like him.

Krista looked at Daemon. Did she believe in wishing? Not precisely. Wishing was for the weak, people who couldn't make thier dreams come true, or didn't have the heart to try.
She didn't ever remember a time where she had wished on a star. Well, maybe when she was much smaller. Those times seemed long ago, when she was a crefree girl, no worries, no school, just her and her family and her friends. Just life.
She didn't want to go back to where she came from. Her family was annoying, bothersome to the max even. Her sister was the only person in her family to ever be in Gryffindor. She had taken a lot of rap for that. But Krista, being the youngest, got pushed around a lot.
She finally shook herself out of her thoughts and looked back at Daemon with a glazed look in her eyes.
"I don't believe in wishing. I don't believe in miracles either. Stuff just happens...because it happens. And wishing something won't make it happen. You have to get there yourself. Hard work makes more sense than wishing, but I don't do a lot of hard work either, come to think of it," she said after a few minutes of hesistation. She smiled at Daemon, none the less.
Carefree, Deamon seemed like Krista herseld, maybe a little nicer and more social with others. Krista was sure they'd be good friends, like herself and Persephone.
