Krista walked casually up the stone stairs of the Astronomy Tower, happy to finally be alone and breaking boundries so early in the year. The cold December air met her unprotected skin of her arms as she made her way to the top. she drew her dark green cloak tighter around her body, to protect herself better, and finally met the top ramparts of the tower.
She managed to make her way to the edge of the tower, and sat down, leaning against the wall and dangling her feet over the wall. She looked down, remembering how scared she had been the first time she had done that. 'Tings have changed in 3 years' she said to herself, chuckling softly.
She looked around, hoping to see a familiar face, or perhaps a new one. Maybe somebody interesting, like a boy or something. something to distract her from the bright stars. She looked skyward, wondering how long ago the stars had begun to shine. She sighed to herself.
"I missed these nights," she said to no one in particular. She leaned back against the wall again, closing her eyes. She gripped the edge tightly, now wishing she had brought a broom to fly with her. 'Oh well, always next time'.
She looked around lazily, seriously hoping for a distraction.

Persephone had found herself in the confusion of the common room at night. Her duties as Prefect had seemed heavy at first, but now she found herself finishing them quickly, and she needed to get away from the life that had surfaced in her common room. All she could hope for was that Teagan was watching the others while she got a breath of fresh air.
The small Ravenclaw headed out, not really thinking where she was going. She just kinda followed where her footsteps led, and that just happened to be the Astronomy tower, the place she'd always sought recluse before on nights like this.
As Persephone pushed the door open after climbing the stairs to the Tower. Her long silver blonde hair swirled around her body, and at five foot she didn't make much of an impression upon entering the top of the Tower. Her emerald eyes shun brightly, and her small puffs of breath could be seen.
She wrapped the navy cloak tighter around her small frame. She'd wanted fresh air, and with her luck, she'd probably end up with a cold. Shae would never let her live that one down, especially after warning her exclusivly about what would happen if she did get one. That warning had been what prompted her to bring along her cloak on this little excrusion.
I wanted to be alone, but not this alone. I guess, I just didn't want to be surrounded by people all talking at the same time...
She looked around and saw a girl sitting down. The girl looked just about as bored as Persephone now found herself, and Sephe thought it was best to probably talk to the other.
"Mind if I join you out here?"
She said coming closer to the other.

"Oh! Um..." Krista said, glancing at the girl's prefect badge. "Sure. I was looking for some company," she finally replied. She didn't want to get in trouble for being out of bounds, especially since it was late.
Her blonde hair swayed in the wind, the moonlight reflecting the red streaks in her hair. She drew her cloack around her yet tighter, blocking out the wind. It was quite chilly.
Krista studied the girl for a moment, taking in her features. She had green eyes, just like herself, and light blonde, almost seemingly silver-white hair. Even though she must be older thans Krista, being a prefect, she wasn't nearly as tall. Krista thought she was maybe 3 inches shorter, at least, putting her at about 5 feet even.
Krista smiled, remembering seeing this girl around Magic Horizons many times. She was everywhere Krista went, all over, helping out new kids and hanging out wit hher friends. She was a Ravenclaw, so she must be decently smart. This could be a good chance to get to know kids on the other houses, well, just Ravenclaw. She didn't really want nor need friends from Hufflepuff or Gryffindor.
"My name is Krista, Slytherin 4th year. And you are?" she asked, patting the spot next to her for the girl to sit.

Persephone took the offered seat. The girl, Krista, had seemed slightly reluctant at first, but seemed to welcome her company. Persephone was glad that she had, since she didn't really care to be spending a night completly alone and Daemon was probably a sleep by now...that seemed to be all he ever did these days.
As she sat down she looked at the other. She'd seen her before, maybe in one of her classes. She looked oddly familar and she wondered if it was in charms or potions that they'd met, maybe even both. Still, it didn't really matter, she'd at least seen Krista before.
"I'm Persephone, or as most people call me, Sephe. Sixth year Ravenclaw."
She smiled at the other and the fire in her emerald eyes grew slightly brighter. It was an odd habit, but with Sephe's smiles her eyes seemed to be alight with fire, and with her tears her smiles seemed desolate and cold.

"Sephe it is then. You're not going to get me in trouble right? You are a prefect, right?" Krista asked, not wanting to get into any trouble. She hated losing points for Slytherin.
"Seems like I'm always making friends with Ravenclaws. Never any other house, just Ravenclaw and Slytherin, "Krista muttered to herself, and chuckled lightly.
She looked up at the sky, watching the stars as they glowed. The moon was big and hung in the sky beautifully. Krista began to count the stars until she reached 100. She made a wish on the 100th star.
She breathed in the fresh air, enjoying the feeling of the wind. She looked over at Persephone, who seemed to be lost in her own little world too.

"No, we're not going to get in trouble. I don't think we're doing anything wrong except being up here, and since I'm not going to take points away from myself, well, we're ok."
She flashed Krista a grin. She seemed like a nice girl, and she even reminded herself of Dante and herself when they had first came. It seemed like a long time ago, but she had remembered doing only what she'd seen the older well respected kids doing.
"Yeah, I know what you mean though. A lot of my friends are in either Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I do have friends in the other two houses, but not as many as in Slytherin. Even my boyfriend's from there."
She sighed thinking about it. It'd been a long time since she'd actually thought about the fact that so many of her friends came from the two houses. Not that she thought it was weird, and she really didn't mind at all. She had friends, and the ones that she had were the best in the world.

"Daemon right?" Krista said, happy to know whom she was talking about. "I've seen you two around together before."
Krista began to think, looking back to the stars. For some reason, she didn't mind Ravelcaws one bit. Probably because she herself would have been there if she wasn't in Slytherin. Well, most likely. She liked to think of herself as clever sometimes.

"Yep. He's a nice guy...but kinda cold at first."
She looked back out at the winter sky. It was said that winter was the best time to look at the stars. At no other time of the year were the skies so clear and so bright. It was just like that tonight. A perfectly clear night with stars that shun with the strength of the diamonds.
"What do you like to do in your freetime?"
She knew it was a change of subject, but she didn't like awkward silences much, and she really wanted to know more about Krista.

((OOC: Nothing else to do mind if I join?))
IC: Dante heard familar voices in the Astronomy tower and didn't hesitate to walk in. She kept quiet for a moment and decided to say somthing, he voice was low quiet it had been for a while now. "Um..hello Sephe, Krista mind if I-I join you?" She asked she felt as though she were back to being a first year. She was timid, she hadn't talked to Sephe in a long time she didn't know what had happened.

"Hey Dante!" Krista greeted and offered her a seat. "No, I don't mind at all."
She smiled at Dante before turning back to Sephe. "Basically just hang out, go down to the lake, or come up here sometimes. Or maybe do my homeowkr, or go down to the quiddithc pitch to practice or something," she added, even though Sephe would know that she wasn't on the house team.
Krista turned back to look at Dante. She pulled her black hair out of her face. "How are you?" she asked.

"OH! I-um...better." She stuttered a bit keeping her head bowed. She sat in a tight awkward position, as though she were afraid to be there. "How are you guys?"

Persephone wondered why Dante was acting so weird. The two of them were like sisters, and Dante was her closest friend. But here she was acting shy and uncomfortable like she didn't know her, or was trying to avoid her.
There was no reason for that. Maybe Dante thought Sephe was avoiding her, but she wasn't. She'd just been so busy with Prefect duties that she hadn't been able to spend much time with her friends. Most of the people she talked to these days were the other Ravenclaws, and she'd even had too stretch to make time for Daemon.
"I'm good. I've been really busy lately, but good. How 'bout you? I haven't been able to talk to you lately with all the new duties. Every time I try to look for you, it's like you've disappeared."
She smiled hoping her friend would relax. What had happened between the two of them?

Dante froze at Sephe's question, her friend was so busy she didn't really need her to worry. But Persephone seemed sincere and Dante trusted her. "Lately I've been well um, in and out of the Castle as of late, um and I've.....I seem to have gotten my self in trouble with...um with Fenris, and well since then I haven't been able to get out hes been on my mind as of late." There she said she knew her friend had something against the lycan but Dante had felt something almost human in him and it had been on her mind. "But thats not important how have you been, I see you've meant Krista shes a sweet thing, she was all over me to eat something the other day, after..." Dante closed her mouth and just decided to look up at Sephe with a smile painted on.

Krista watched the two talk. It was obvious they knew each other very well, maybe even best friends.
"You ought to finish that sentence, Dante. She is your friend," Krista cut in.

"Well um it was after the other night, it was...I was...I was um injured by Fenris, nothing much though." She added hastily. Dante added her breathing labored and panicked, there were somethings that he friends didn't need to know, and that she didn't want them to worry about, and all this would do would get Sephe worried. "See its nothing, all in the past." She said quietly silently cursing and thanking Krista for the opportunity to tell her friend what had happened. "But thats not the bad thing, when he was there he was hurt and, and I just didn't think he deserved to die, it wasn't right, there is still something human about him and I can't get him out of my head." Dante grew emotional and soon tears fell, Fenris had her so mixed up on the inside that she couldn't even function well anymore.
