Lars watched as various students duel. This was the first time he was in any place like this. He never even seen any kids fought before and he was sure he wouldn't until he learned more magic. Which was why he was here, to learn magic.
Even though his cowardliness shines brightly, one thing shined even brighter, his love of Magic Horizons. Besides his friends and books, Magic Horizons was the only thing he had.
Which was why he decided to fight in the war. After talking about joining the war with Professor Azrael, he knew he had to learn some spells. Lars felt like he had to defend this school with his life, and he knew help was needed, no matter how small the help was.
Lars took out a piece of paper and a pen and began writing down spells and what they did, as he heard them;
Stupefy- Stupefies opponent Incarcerous- Send vines out of your wand Exspelliarmus- Disarms opponent Accio- Brings suggested item to you
"Okay, thats good for now," Lars said with a smile. His hand was beginning to cramp. As a quick test he threw his pen on the floor, stepped away, pulled out his wand and yelled, "Accio pen." It lifted the pen a little but quickly dropped. He knew he would have to practice to get better.

Rezna stuck her head into the room from which all the noise she had been hearing was coming from. Inside, many students were dueling with one another with what seemed complicated spells. She hung her shoulders, knowing full well that by missing so many classes she hadn't learned as many spells as all the others had. However, she decided that by watching she could at least learn some.
As she walked around the room, Rezna spotted a boy who was trying to summon his pen from the floor. This spell was one she could do perfectly for with her brother's addiction to stealing her things she had to use it often.
Coming up to him she noticed a piece of paper in his hand. She read the few words that were on it without meaning to. Rezna pulled her eyes away as soon as her curiosity subsided. Apparently they were there with a common purpose.
She wondered if it would be too awkward if she just came out and asked him about the spells that he had learned in class. She really hated missing out and it seemed that she was well behind. And since he was learning too, she hoped it wouldn't be too much of a bother.
"Hello," she finally said, for she had stood there longer than most passersby would.
