((Open to resistance members only please! Although it would be nice if Sylph could post first...))
Loki entered the dueling hall uncharacteristically rather apprehensive. He had received word by school owl from Sylph saying that she needed to meet with him, and he was concerned that she might know something, or at least suspect. He wasn't sure if she was in the resistance that Danawi had mentioned, but he'd bet that she was; she wasn't the kind of person to stand by and let the destruction of the school happen without trying to do something about it. She was perceptive, too, which was a little unnerving, perhaps his occlumency skills needed further honing. He couldn't risk letting people into his mind just yet.
He wandered around the hall briefly, examining the weapons on display - bloody battle axes, enormous Scottish claymores, elegant katanas and a single ancient English yew longbow, to name but a few - set amongst some of the more magical arsenal that lined the walls. Most interesting.
Brushing the long hair from his eyes Loki conjured up a chair, twirling his ash wand between long skilled fingers as he did so, and reclined in it facing the door, awaiting whatever was to come.

Sylph had jogged all the way down from Gryffindor tower to meet Loki at the time she had stated in her letter. She would have sent Dylan but he was on another delivery, and would hopefully be back soon with the package she had requested. When she arrived at the doors of the hall she wasn't even out of breath. At least I'm still fit and healthy, she thought to herself wryly. Fitness would no doubt come in very useful in the upcoming battle; magic, after all, wasn't everything. Fortunately Sylph was a naturally sporty person, and it wasn't hard for her to keep in shape, even if she did eat like a pig. Oh, how that had annoyed her friends back home...
She wasn't surprised to find Loki already in the hall waiting for her, looking rather relaxed as it happened. She turned her head on one side and examined him though peridot eyes, trying to gauge what he was thinking, but it didn't work. She decided to go for the direct approach.
"What are you doing with Danawi, Loki?" she asked, her voice cool as the north wind and a glacier combined. "I heard that you were in the forest at his little meeting... what were you doing there, huh?" Though her voice and features was almost expressionless, she was a raging mass of feeling just then. Disbelief, betrayal, anger... and all directed at a guy she'd only known for a month and only spoken to twice before now. She had to wonder why, but wasn't up to it just yet. Why would Loki side with Danawi? That's what she wanted to know. She crossed her arms across her chest, fixed him with an icy stare, and waited.

Loki got to his feet as soon as Sylph entered, out of ingrained politeness more than anything else. His parents had made sure they taught him manners, at any rate. When she spoke, however, he was stunned. So she did know about it. Well, more than that, judging by the frankness with which she named Danawi and the offhandedness in her tone when she mentioned the meeting. Wait - how had she known about that?
Putting his wand away in a gesture of good faith, Loki met her eyes with his green-flecked blue gaze. His expression was one of apology, but he kept up the wall around his mind, lest anyone be walking past the hall just at that moment.
"I was at the meeting," he began, seeing fury in her eyes as he said this. He was sorry but he ploughed on regardless. "I assure you, however, that I am not one of his followers. I was there to gather information." He sighed, knowing that he would have to tell her the full story.
"I entered the forest back in my first week here, and, as I now know is the norm here, I was aggressively met by a few lycans and a demon. You may have heard of her, actually. Mai le Rosa she is called, but I digress.
"I was 'saved', you might say, by the leader of the Forest Clan of Lycans, Chailyn. However, in repayment of this I swore an oath to her, a blood oath," Loki held up his hand where the faint scar lining his palm could still be seen. "I swore my allegiance to her and her pack, promising to help them wherever I could, to gain them freedom, food, territory... whatever they required. Unfortunately, Chailyn is a supporter of one Danawi Dassous, whom you have obviously heard rumor of. He promised her the things I mentioned before, and she agreed to help him in his plan. I attended that meeting to discover for myself exactly what these plans of his are."
He paused, pushing the long blonde hair from his eyes again somewhat habitually, revealing a brief glimpse of his handsome features before it fell back into place. He wanted to hear what Sylph had to say thus far before divulging anymore. He needed her reaction.

Sylph stood unmoving, arms folded and lips pursed, throughout Loki's speech. But was he telling the truth? She tried once more to See into his mind, but it was all in vain. He was shielding his thoughts too well. Where had he learnt to do that? Sylph wondered idly, before realising the answer herself. At Durmstrang, of course. His old school, the one he had been discretely kicked out of for defending a lycan from an angry mob. And naturally he would form an alliance with the Forest Clan after that...
Danni had told her that the Forest lycans were much fiercer than those that lived in the tunnels, did he know what he had got himself into? She frowned vaguely in his direction, realising that he was awaiting her response.
"So you're a follower of the forest lycans, are you?" she said without expression. "Right, okay, I can deal with that, just as long as you can. You do know that you're dead if you go against this Chailyn's wishes, don't you? Yes... I suppose you do..." Her face changed slightly, meeting his eyes in a fierce glare.
"Right, so, you went to this meeting. That I already knew." She wasn't going to tell him how she knew though; it might put Alex in danger, especially if Chailyn or Danawi found out. "So, if you were gathering information, as you put it, what did you find out?"

Ah yes. Loki knew that this would be the next question from Sylph's lips, but it was about time someone knew.
"It begins - " He cut himself off, pulling out his wand and sealing the doors to the hall shut, and again to soundproof them. He couldn't take any risks.
"It begins tomorrow," he said, his voice even softer than usual. "Something to do with a certain allignment of stars. That allignment will stay for three days - that's how long Danawi has to overthrow the school and fufill his prophecy." A dark look crossed Loki's normally fair features as he said this. He didn't want Danawi to succeed, not at all.
"Anyway," he continued. "There will be three groups of us - one to protect Danawi until he needs to reveal himself, one to attack the school as a distraction, while the third team secures the headmistress, which is the real objective, as far as I can tell. I don't know exactly why he needs to secure her though, why he needs her to make his plan work." He raised his eyebrows inquiringly at Sylph, wondering if she knew anything. She seemed to know a lot already, at least. Maybe, seeing as he was helping her, she would help him with this last piece of the puzzle. Then, maybe he'd have another favour to ask of her.

OOC: Hope you don't mind me posting!
" Well, most of that we do know," said a cool voice. Aidana stepped out of the shadows of the immense Dueling Hall. It was funny really that he hadn't noticed her presence before. She walked towards the two other students and stopped to stand next to Sylph.
" Loki, we meet again. I am here at Sylph's invitation," she said simply. She looked over Loki, and he seemed exactly like he had been the last time she had seen him. The long blonde hair, the tall figure. It was all the same. His personality though was much different. She could remember the one day he had gone to Hogsmeade with her and her group of friends. He had just been an amused older student, hadn't he? But she could see that the Forest Clan had changed him greatly. He could not break his oath to their Elder, that would mean certain death for him.
"Three days? He has three days to try to take over the school? So then essentially we don't have to beat him do we? All we need to do is hold him off for three days until his celestial alignment is over. You said that there were three groups, what can you tell us about them? Who's leading them? And if the Headmistress is the target, then we need to protect her," she said, considering this new information. She looked up at Sylph.
" Do you think our powers would be better in use in the battlefield or protecting the Headmistress?" she asked the violet haired girl.

Sylph frowned as Loki talked, waiting until he was completely finished before speaking, but a certain red-haired girl beat her to it.
"Alright, Aidana?" she grinned at her friend. "I was just wondering the same things myself, actually," she added, turning her eyes back to Loki. "I want to be in the forest, my new found talents won't be much good indoors; and besides, I want to fight Danawi personally. He's caused too much pain for me not too." She paused a moment, frowning again.
"We won't hold out for three days," she said matter-of-factly. "He's got more numbers than us, he's got demons and lycans and who knows what else. He'll get to Claire in that time." She shook her head a little, removing the worried expression from her face forcefully, allowing a trace of that characteristic Sylph grin to shine through.
"He wants the headmistress so he can take over the world," Sylph told Loki, almost laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. "There's a prophecy that I Saw, it goes like this;
Risen from Darkness to steal the Light To finalise the battle between Wrong and Right Surrendered my soul to be the Bringer of this Plight Destroy the Purest Source - and all will be Night
"I'll leave it to you to figure out what it means," she added grimly. "The purest source is Rose and Claire, their love, MH in general, whatever. It doesn't matter. We just have to stop him."

Loki looked between the two girls - his surprise at seeing Aidana appear as if from nowhere quickly masked. She was a friend, obviously another in the resistance. Good for her.
At Sylph's prophecy though he frowned. Had she said that she Saw it? Was Sylph a Seer? No matter, but what were the 'new found talents' she spoke of? So many questions...
"I am in the group supposed to secure the headmistress," he said outloud. "Now, I am not a follower of Danawi, and once I had given my information to someone I was going to back out. However." He paused, his usually eloquent words faltering. He shook the hair from his eyes habitually, and allowed his eyes to meet Sylph's green gaze.
"I will go along as Danawi has planned," he said, so softly that the two of them would have to strain their ears to hear it. He also concentrated on maintaining his occlumency skills, to mask his thoughts from unfriendly minds. "Once in the head's tower, however, I will turn and fight with the resistance, defending Claire. Those defending the tower must be informed of this so they do not attack me. Danawi linked us all to his powers, allowing us to use what he has; I should be able to use that power well against him." A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth but there was little humor there.
"There is one thing I must also tell you," he said, reaching his long fingers into his coat pocket and producing a small silvery glass vial, filled with a glowing thick liquid.
"This is the unicorn blood Danawi gave us all. Some drank immidiately, others didn't. Danawi will also have no doubt taken some for himself. He shall therefore be difficult to kill, if such a thing is even possible, considering his extreme power. If you do manage to kill or weaken him, however, all those linked to his power shall fall, and you - we - shall be victorious.
"However," he continued, an almost inaudiable sigh punctuating his pause. "It will be difficult to even get to him. Some of us are set to remian behind, some of the forest clan will be there in addition to students. You will have to get past them first, and none of the lycans can know of my betrayal." Loki swallowed hard and was about to cease talking when he remembered something else he needed to impart before he left.
"Rose," he said suddenly, his normally soft voice unusually sharp. "The demon Isaac. The one who kidnapped Rose. He will, at Danawi's bidding, use her to draw Claire out so she can be captured. There was also talk of trying to turn Rose to evil."
This time he did stop talking, leaving that sentence hanging dramatically in the tense air of the hall, allowing the others to make of it what they would.

Aidana listened to Loki silently. Most of what he said they had known, like the unicorn blood. But he was leading the forces to the Headmistress? If he was truly on their side, then that was a blesing. He woud know exactly now many Followers were attacking, and deal with all of them.
"Don't worry. Our forces will be told that you will turn to our side," she said nodding at him.
"And with two group leaders on our side, the battle may not be as bad as we think," she added musingly. She looked up at Loki sharply.
" Forest lycans protecting him?" she asked. "We're going to have to worry about Forest Lycans too now? We only have a limited number going into the forest. Sylph, you will have to fight them you know. I would come with you if I could, but people must be stationed in the Entrance Hall. The students have to be protected.

OOC; sorry Ark, mate, but we can't have you messin this up by tellin' Danawi! It needs to be a IC secret, hence the invite only. Sorry. Mind deleting it for us? Cheers. Sorry again. You can beat Loki up another time...
IC: Sylph nodded firmly to Aidana's words, though she was still reeling from all the information Loki had given them. It was just like when he had overwhelmed her with stories for their Astology paper. Information overload. Almost.
"At least you didn't drink that stuff," she said, feeling distinctly relieved, nodding towards the vial as she shot him a grateful smile. "I knew you were too smart for that. And you've done us a big favour. I think there's going to be a vampire up in the tower or wherever Claire will be. We're all not too sure about him, but, if he stays good, then he'll be a valuble asset. If he doesn't though..." Sylph trailed off. Would Loki be able to deal with a vampire and the rest of Danawi's troops? He was strong and powerful, yes, but would that be enough?

"You too Loki?" came the soft reply. Ark stepped out of the shadows. "I knew I was going to backstab them but you too? Good." he walked forward, and threw his wand to Aidana. "I'm honest. I am sick of listening to those suppous "Rulers". I'm joining the Cabal."

Loki turned as yet another figure stepped out of the shadows. His expressionless face suddenly became a mix of mistrust, triumph and amusement. Was Ark telling the truth? He certainly seemed to be friendly, he even threw away his wand in a sign of friendship. Loki made no move as he looked at the boy, who had previously tried to give Loki away to Danawi... or so it had appeared at the time.
"The Cabal?" he asked, but shook his head, realising that it must be the name of the resistance. Unreadable eyes turned upon Ark's, and a thin trace of a smile crossed his lips.
"So what is your plan, then, Ark my friend?" he asked blandly, not wanting to risk giving anything - for good or for bad - away.

Sylph spun round to see an old friend. But it was not the Ark she had once known. He was working for Danawi now, and had a demon trapped inside him since his death. No, not the same Ark at all.
Still, now he seemed more like his old self, even confessing to wanting to go against Danawi once more. But like Loki, Sylph had trouble trusting him on this one. Too much had happened to Ark to take his words at face value. Still, she reminded herself, any ally is useful. The more the merrier. And the less for Danawi, the better. She nodded to Loki's questions, unable to think of a way to put it any better.
"Yeah, Ark, what is your plan? Want to tell us anything Loki's forgotten?"
OOC: lame post... sorry.

"You have much to fear. Danawi's Army is massive. Students, powerful by themselves, are going to be aided by Demons, Lycans, and more that a few Vampires. Plus all the Followers have drank Unicorn's Blood except for me." he handed Aidana the vial. "It tasted like acid to me. But Loki really covered everything. I'm basiclly the Wild Card in this situation. I'm with neither side. I'm sick of Danawi, but I dare not anger him." he said, tounching the scar that Danawi's torture left on him.

Aidana heard another voice behind her and quickly turned around. She saw Ark enter their group, from where? She had no idea, but he seemed to know what was going on. He threw his wand to her, and she caught it deftly. Why in the world would anyone willingly give up their weapon? She found out a second later when he revealed that he was also turning sides. She was suddenly on guard, there were too many people switching sides. How did she know whom to trust? But then she was handed to vial of unicorn blood. She looked down at the pearly liquid, thikning of the cursed life that awaited anyone who drank it.
" Why are you changing sides?" she asked, curious. " All of a sudden too."
