Sensing her sudden rise of emotions and desperations, Kezaa felt Ashlle lunge outward with her leg. The foolish part was how she retreated after a single and unsure attack.
Kezaa twisted himself, allowing his upper body to rotate so that her leg would just roll off, rather than make the full contact she intended. As he allowed her to regain her balance and regroup at a desk, he lunged out at her from the dark. It was a rather haphazard stunt for him to perform himself, but when he looped his forarm around her throat, he knew that a grapple was something that could be far more trusty than a strike.
Kezaa then lifted her off the ground, his grip almost too firm to permit passage of breath. His eyes were still closed, since it would still take a while before his vision could be helpful, rather than a hinderance. Kezaa lowered his head to where he supposed her ear was, and spoke softly.
"I understand your mistake. I've made it countless times in my lifetime. You are afraid of getting hurt, of paying for your blunder. I understand that reflexive fear, but you must understand, that you must never lash out at anything uncertainly."

Ashlle tried to nod & seeing as that was not working, she pressed her hand into his arm & formed it into the OK symbol, hoping,-preying- he would let her go. If not -perhaps- he might at least let her breath come back.
It was so heard to breathe that she began to wonder if they were still practicing or if perhaps this was real. She tried to struggle wildly but that simply cut her air off completely, so she instead went limp.

Kezaa released her, once she began squirming desperately and shortly after going limp. He placed his hands comfortingly on her shoulders, the exercise had ended.
"You have found me, my student. As soon as you get your breath back, we'll begin your next test." he said leisurely, feeling his way over to that desk and leaning on it.

Ashlle breathed deeply relieved that she wasn't to be strangled or beaten.
She sat on the floor & wondered how late it was, she was beginning to be hungry. If it were very late soon she would get to go up to breakfast.
She suddenly began to think of what the others would think of her going to breakfast like this. Perhaps she would just return to the Gamekeepers Cabin & have Chance make her something, and then she could go & have a shower before classes.
"Ok" she said shaking as she stood up. "I think I'm ready." At that moment she stomach growled loudly.

He tried to stiffle a laugh, but to little avail. It seemed that his snack had given him an advantage over his student afterall.
"Alright, how about you rest and freshen up and what not. You can come back when your classes are over, and we'll pick up where we left off. Savvy?" he asked, leaning up against the wall all-knowingly.

"Yeah that sounds like a plan." said Ashlle, rubbing her tummy to hush it up. But when she did she yawned sleepily. She then holstered her weapon & was about to leave when she turned bask and bowed low to Kezaa.
"Thank you Master Kezaa, for my lesson. I will try and see to it that it's never forgotten.

Kezaa grinned slightly, and gave a nod back to her respectful gesture. "Hey, this won't be the last. You still have quite a bit to learn, so I expect you back here when you have spare time." he said with a slight chuckle. Indeed, Ashlle had really pushed herself tonight. Her usually matted down hair had been completely touseled, she was still short of breath, and she had gone hungry. Even though it was fairly short, he was proud of how hard she tried. "Also, don't forget to take your weapons appart and clean them. Otherwise, the buildup of grease and gunpowder will make it hard to function later on." he added, raising his index finger astutely. (OOC) We'll just continue our other sessions here when we're ready to go again. That is, of course, unless you feel like you're ready.

OOC: haha very funny. I'll be ready when pigs fly. but check your PM box every now & then. I'll note you when I set up another training time. If I don't, feel free to note me!
BIC: "Yes, Master Kezaa. I'll see to it that I clean them." She then went back to the other room gathered up her things, & left to go back to the Cabin for a bath & some rest.
