OOC: Oh yeah! I know that word; goddess and I couldn't figure that out? *Whacks head on keyboard*
BIC: "Well, I would but at this distance even a rubber bullet should penetrate your scull a bit. So ..."
... and without even a 'shall I do this instead' she grabbed the hand he held his wooden sword in, and swept him off his feet with her leg. It was unexpected and therefore it worked like a charm.

"Nice." he uttered after a moment.
"But you really ought to follow up on that!" he yelled as he spun back upwards and clawed the gun from her fingers. He then wrapped his hand around the handle and pointed it towards her. "You see? You really ought to listen to your teacher. You don't have to worry about hurting me with silly rubber bullets, even at point blank. As of late, I've noticed that I am more than just a human now, so you do not have to worry about holding back on me."

Ashlle thought they were just practicing & was very surprised by his declaration, not to mention his reaction.
"Ok" she told him, putting her empty hands in the air to show him he'd defeated her. "I'll not worry about it any more. Shall we take it form the top, or are you truly intent on beating the crap out of me for my failure?
She didn't seem too scared as adrenaline was still racing thought her but she was tense & apprehensive, unsure how bad a beating Kezaa could bestow with both weapons.

He grinned briefly, and spun the gun around so that the muzzle was facing him.
"What kind of teacher would I be, if I did not practice lenience? I will not abuse my postion, Ashlle. I just want you to realize that demons like Laharl are complete cutthroats, and you will get no such leeway in a real situation. The point is, you have to think on your feet, and practice just as hard as when you fight for real. Alright?" he asked, his voice already lowering down to a calm, conversational and assuring mutter.

Ashlle smiled.
"Yes your right, from now on I shall practice as if it were real. If I don't I may say, 'oh I'll do this differently for real,' but I'll never know unless I do it now."
She then put her head to the side & asked:
"How durable are you anyway? Just out of curiosity?"
She wondered if she pinched him would he feel it at all or if he'd just get angry. Maybe they aught to have gotten a few books out of the library on demons before taking a crack at this.

"Like you said, you never know until you try it." he said, giving her a brief smirk. "Let's just say that only the most dangerous weapons in your arsenal, used by the most proficient hands, would be enough to actually put me in the hospital wing. I am not even fully aware of all my strengths yet, but I am sure I might pick up on one or two things while training you. I am actually curious as to what those tranquilizer bullets would do to me." he said thoughtfully, glancing over at her bag of hardware.

"Hmmm, let's see" She carefully dug thought the bag. "Hmm, HEY! Elephant Tranquilizer! Do they really think I'll need this?" She thought aloud, very naive.
She also found Holy water filled cartridges and all sorts of silver bullets, from Silver covered to True silver to Silver dipped in holy water and preyed over for 14 days and nights.
"You know, I'm beginning to not like these guys." she told Kezaa. "What do you want to do next? Shall we try again or move to something more basic?"

"Well, tranquilizers are ideal for catching fleeing targets. How about you try and catch me?" he asked, with a devilish smile.
"You know how to use it, right?"

"In the movies they usually shoot from far away." She said eyeing the hand held Tranqu gun. But this looks like it's more for close up use. Sort of like a Game of Quarry." Ashlle loaded it.
"I used to love watching those games. The person who is 'it' or the 'Quarry' has to go hide leaving 'clues' for the 'Seeker' to find. They when they find them the 'Seeker' has to 'Mark' the 'Quarry' with a Paint gun pellet or something easily to pop with the hand & that leaves a color behind. The kids near the orphanage would use paint & sponges. It looked fun, but I never got to play." She readied the tranqu gun and said:
"Traditionally you get five minutes to go hide but if you want to play differently just tell me what the rules are before you start."

"Rules?" he asked, suddenly perched onto an open window seal, which lead into another section of the dueling hall. Whether he had bounded up there in an instant, or if he had carefully scaled the wall while she was loading her weapon was uncertain.
"There are no rules. Come and catch me now Ashlle, if you can." he said, giving her a brief and dangerous look as he tumbled down into the next room.

"Gess, even exersizes usually have rules." was all she said. Then she slunk twards the doorway that led to the room he'd entered. She flateded herself aganst the wall, & listened carefully. There wasn't a sound comeing from the other room. Yet just heading in was a stupid thing to do. She looked around the room & spotting a dummy on wheels she got an idea.
"Ready or not here I Come! She shouted, as something large & human shaped came flying into the room.

The dummy did not even have time to hit the floor, before it met with the darkness in the room. A few pristine flashes could be seen, as the moonlight reflected off the the edge of his wooden blade.
When the dummy landed, it was not a single, huge thud as Ashlle might have expected. Instead, there came the sofened clatter of several body parts here and there. The left leg rolled out into the light of the doorway, ominously.
"That was again, very creative." came a hushed whisper from somewhere in that room.
"But you seem to have already forgotten what I told you about following up on your actions. You could easily have infiltrated this room while your distraction had been deployed."

With out a word Ashlle shot three times at where his voice was coming from with surprising accuracy.
Ashlle was used to finding things in the dark One of the Orphanages where she had stayed had absolutely no lighting at all for four months. When the sun went down that was it. She had seen a lot more in the dark than she'd ever found in the light. (that might have been due to the fact that she hated to where her glasses but never the less..)
She had shot exactly at his throat, one to the left, & one just to the right of where he was. She was anticipating his movements. Two hit the wall. One hit home.
Ashlle moved into the darkness while Kezaa was busy with her darts. Hiding behind what felt like a coat of armor in an alcove she reloaded the three spent chambers of the dart gun.
OOC: how can I act if I don't know what you're going to do next? Also was that better?

And with a wet puncturing sound and a pained choking yelp, the decievingly heavy dart plunged its thin but dense needle into his throat. Kezaa immediately wretched the dart from his throat, but to little avail. He knew the impact had already propelled the gas into his bloodstream, and since it was essentially next to his CNS, he would be feeling the effects heavily within the next few moments.
Indeed as he percieved, his body began to weaken. His firm grip loosened drastically on his bokken, his pupils dialated, his breath even became shallow. He felt as if he were about to vomit. His body had become a complete wet noodel. Noodels....
Wait a sec, I have it! he thought in a daze, as he fished a packet of instant noodels out of his pocket. Magicking a bowl of water, he dumped the meat noodels in and prepared them with a couple of moments. He then promptly slurped them down, making a note to not chew it too much.
He then crawled into a darker corner of the room, a blindspot to the ever-vigilant moon shining through the rafter windows. The area was too dark for anything to see, regardless of their hightened sense of sight. Since his vision was still a haze, he merely closed his eyes and allowed his senses and abilities to return to normal. All the while, he kept his ears doubly open to any and all impending sounds of his pupil If nothing else, he was fortunate the tranquilizer had no bearing on his hearing.

Ashlle was surprised & strangely hurt to hear Kezaa's yelp and subsequent crumple to the ground. Somehow didn't think it was at all right to hurt a friend this way, however, who knew if Kezaa the Teacher would be so forgiving if she didn't act a second (or rather third) time?
As she make her way silently around the room she wondered just how to totally immobilize her foe/friend. She decided the spine would be good. Truly, if he weren't dead from a punctured throat surly one in the spine would do him no permanent harm, yet it might be immobilizing enough so she might 'win'.
Suddenly her foot struck something alive. Darn it! She hadn't been paying attention and had already traveled the distance to him! Too afraid to stay long lest he grab her with what feeble strength he still possessed, she shot where her foot had touched (it felt like his back) and retreated to a desk about five feet away.
