Golden waves bounced along as the girl walked up the halls to wards the Hospital Wing. No crimson leaked from this girls skin, no gashes on her head, nor a brake or fracture. No this was one of the school nurses, her first day back at work. She had to admit as much as her job seemed like a really tough one, she had missed it like hell.
Reaching out, a cream skinned hand pushed open one of the doors with a large red cross painted on it. Sweeping through the doors the girl grabbed the lone white lab coat that hung on its hook and slipped it on over a white top and jeans. Straightening the I.D. badge, she took out a photo of a girl with jet black hair and replaced it with a new picture, of a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. Smiling to herself as she looked around the empty room and waited for her fellow nurses to arrive.
Kasey was back.

The ghost had just been making sure the Wing was warm - what with it being winter now and the ground covered with snow - when she heard the door open. The first thought through her mind was "More work to do," but she was pleasantly surprised when she turned around and saw Kasey standing there in her white coat.
"Kasey!" The dead girl exclaimed. "You're back with us then? I'm really hoping we're only going to get colds and the occasional frostbite this winter, but with students, how can you ever know what they'll do to themselves and each other next?" She said, happy to see the blonde woman standing there.
She really was welcome, the more hands to help in the Wing the better, and Ashlle really needed to take some time for her studies. The phantomess herself had not really gone for one of her long walks - she wasn't one for short walks really - in such a long time. The Wing had been too confoundedly busy.

Kasey smiled as the phantomess entered the room, "Hey there Shae, its so good to see you" she looked around the room and nodded, "Yes I am back and I couldn't be happier and tell Ashlle to take all the time she needs for her studies its completely understandable".

"What?" it was Ashlle. She'd just come from classes and had a boat load of Homework in her arms. "I am studying! The Charms teacher didn't give us any homework and . . . Kasey! Ashlle dropped all her homework in shock. Then she ran up to her and stood there looking at her.
"Kezza and Jesika!" she said at last. "We can't find them and they left their daughter Aya here!" She them motioned to Shae. "Last I knew Miss Shae went to find them." She looked around the Wing. If Shae was back, surly she'd brought Aya with her . . . .

Kasey's head spun around as she heard a voice, smiling when she saw it was Ashlle. Watching as she dropped her homework and ran over to her Kasey was about to greet the Gryffindor when she was cut off by her talking about the disappearance or Kezaa and Jesika and their child Aya behind. "Don't worry, if I know Jess and Kez they will be back don't worry" the blonde nurse said trying to reassure Ashlle. But really Kasey didn't know if they were coming back, she had heard a rumor that Kezaa had retired....but surely they were just silly words.

Aya sat on a bed playing with a red India rubber ball. "Hi, Nurse Lady" she said when Ashlle spoke about her. "Hi Chilly Lady" she added when she spotted Shae. However upon seeing Kasey, she grew quiet.
This was a new person she'd never seen before. She seemed nice, but Aya wasn't positive about that. So instead of saying any thing she just stared curiously.

"Oh, there she is." said Ashlle. She looked back at Kasey as she offered the opinion that Kezaa and Jesika were not really gone at all. "Well, good - Because I'm too young to be a Mum, and I'm beginning to think I'm the only one Aya knows around here - Besides Chilly Lady that is." said Ashlle and she smiled at Shae and giggled.
'Chilly Lady' truly did fit the specter in Ashlle's opinion. It hadn't been that long ago that Shae had help Ashlle capture her first Quarry for the BFC by freezing him in Ashlle's summoned flood. At least that's what she'd thought had happened.

Upon hearing the little girl's voice, Kasey looked up and smiled. Obviously the girl didn't know who she was, but she offered the little girl a warm kind smile, "Hello, you must be Aya. My name is Kasey, I'm a good friend of your mummy and daddy" she said in a gentle tone. Looking over her shoulder at Ashlle, the blonde nurse smiled "If you need a hand looking after her I'll help" she said then turning back to Aya, "Well if its ok with you".

Aya looked at Kasey thoughtfully. It seemed that alot of people knew her Mummy and Daddy.
" . . . be my fwend?" asked Aya, putting the ball down and holding out her hands to Kasey. If Mummy and Daddy knew Kasey she must be good.

Yes, that would be a good idea," said Ashlle gratefully. "Thank you" Suddenly remembering why Kasey had gone out on leave she added;
"I'm not sure Aya has ever seen someone her own age. We might want to have her meet that little girl of yours, if you don't mind. Children need to be socialized just as much as any pet does, most likely more so, so that they will be able to function in society."
It was a credit to how much Ashlle had read on every subject she could that she knew a bit about almost everything she encountered.

Kasey smiled at the little girl adn picked her up, "I would love to be your friend" she said to Aya, then turning to Ashlle, "That is a good idea, but Bubbles hasn't been around lately" she said with a shrug.

((ooc: ARGH! Sorry! Christmas job and stupid summer heat have been getting to me! I spent most of this after noon on my bed snoozing!))
Sighing at the name the child had given her, the ghost smiled a little.
"I've been looking, but when I think I've seen them it's been through a crowd, and I don't rush in case I touch someone, and I think we'll have enough problems with colds without me rushing and chilling entire rooms in my mad dash," the ghost admitted, and seemed a little defeated by the task.
Tonight I'll put up a notice in the Ravenclaw Common Room, just in case they stop by there, she decided.
"And how are the boys, Kasey? Perhaps we'd better organise for a bit of the Wing to be sectioned off and made safe for little ones," the phantomess added before turning back to Aya.
She really was a cute kid.
