Daemon didn't usually head to the library. It wasn't that he didn't like reading books, he really did enjoy them. It was that he didn't like being surrounded by so many rows of books that held so much that he wasn't so certain he was entitled to read. He just got that feeling like so many others should read these books not him.
But he was up here now. He wanted to read something, but wasn't certain where to start. He had always loved books on adventure, and he'd had a soft spot for anything envolving theives. He felt like he had something in common with them.
As Daemon walked, he ran a hand through his chocolate brown hair. His violet eyes looked up and down the long rows of books. He was amazed that there were so many books and so few people in here.
"Where on Earth do I start looking?" he whispered under his breath to no one in particular.

"Well, it all depends on what you're interested in.." answered a voice from behind him.
Golden-brown eyes peered around an arm load of books, studying the boy curiously. Moving to a shelf, she began unloading the books, stacking them side by side in some kind of order. Once free of the books, she turned back to look at him, shoving her hands into the deep pockets of her overalls.
"Are you hoping to find something on a particular subject? Educational books, fiction, non-fiction, muggle stories, sci-fi, adventure stories, old spell books?" she asked, barely stopping for a breath. Rambling on was obviously a habit she had down-packed. "There's obviously more magic-related books, thick selections full of wonderful spells.. even a whole section on magical creatures. But we do have a small section reserved for muggle books. They're surprisingly popular, especially the comics and anime-manga."

Daemon turned to face the voice that spoke to him. The girl had large brown eyes, that held a tint of gold. She seemed to know what she was doing, and that was a good thing because he had no idea...at all. The room was filled with books, and just as this girl had pointed out, there were many different kinds and generes of books.
He thought about it for a minute.
"Hmm...I like adventure books, so I guess that would be under muggle books."
His parents would kill him if they even guessed he wanted to read a muggle book. Muggle things had always been a forbidden fruit to himself and the rest of his family. Daemon had the feeling that even his strict parents were tempted by Muggle things. It was only human after all, and surely there had to be a reason for their aversion to such things as muggle books, and even muggle clothing.

"There are some adventure stories pertaining to wizards, mainly books written of or by ex-Aurors. Those are located close to the muggle ones.." she said, narrowing her gaze on the shelf, easily spotting an out-of-place book. Snatching it up, she started walking toward a colorful array of shelves, decorated with lively trinkets from the muggle world. She'd barely re-done that display the day before, and was quite proud of it.
"Come along now" she said over her shoulder, motioning him to follow. Dropping the book in the proper place, she waved her hand toward the section reading 'Muggle Section'. Scanning her gaze over the rows of books, she added "I believe the adventure stories are located in the back corner of this shelf."
It had taken Desi all of two days to memorize the order of the library, what books were where. Two days of no sleep, loads of coffee, and putting her photographic memory to good use. Her back ached from moving things around, and her clothes still had splatterings of paint on them, but she was satisfied with her job. Shifting her gaze back to the boy, she pushed the ginger locks out of her eyes before saying "I'm Desiree, by the way, Desi for short."
