After much wandering, Kaela made her way to the library. The place smelled of old books and was fairly empty. A few kids scattered here and there studying and what-not. She strolled around the isles of books, scanning though the titles with no intention of picking them up. People would occasionally walk past her without paying any mind to her presence. She hated being around people, unless of course she was willing to get to know them. After standing for quiet some time she settled into one of the old couches. The quiet atmosphere allowed her to think clearly. Memories of her past tried to seep their way in, tearing at her mind.

Darius made his way into a seating area in the dusty old library. There on one of the couches was a girl, she was dressed in full robes with dark green trim. He came within feet of her and turned away, walking to another couch to sit. When settled he reached into his cloak and removed a book.

Kaela's eyes wandered over to the guy. She couldn't help btu notice his strikingly good looks. Green and sliver was incorporated with his black robes. "Hey... I see you're in Slytherin."

Darius lowerd the book he'd been reading and raised a brow. "No... really?" He spoke in a heavy sarcastic tone, "I thought Griffindors wore the green robes. Psch." He sook his head and returned to his dark arts manual. A few seconds later he peered over the brown binding to get a better look at her. He thought to himself as he sat... Hm... I sense darkness in that one. Perhaps she can be of use to me. "Hey," He said, putting on a fake smile. "Sorry about that. My name is Darius, Darius Riddle"

"Um, I'm Kaela. I just switched here from somewhere. Not quite used to the place yet." She looked into his eyes again. They seemed to draw her in, something in them made her feel a sense of... sucurity. But not in the way you would expect, they made her feel less alone somehow. "Have you been here long, Hogwarts I mean."

Darius closed his book and stood up. He walked over closer to Kaela. "May I sit?" He put on another fake smile and didn't bother for her to answer before sitting down. "I've been here all five years. I hate all the people around, it's hard to find a place to be alone. I do have my ways though, there are all kinds of secrets in this castle." He searched her face for any sign of intrigue.

"Secrets?" She said, actually interested. Her past was full of secrets, but she decided not to think about them. Instead she focused on this good looking young man. Kaela liked the feel of darkness and mystery about him, she was a dark person herself. "Tell me."

Darius smiled, his plan to make her like him was working so far. He hated having to be cheerful. "Well... there are secrets amoung the teachers and students, but those are mostly just roumors. The kind I like the most are the hidden rooms and passage ways. There are hundreds of them around the castle! I became aware of most of them through exploring. That's what I meant by I have my own ways of being alone... perhaps you'd like to see sometime?" He shot her a grin, hoping she'd fall into his trap.

At first she wasn't sure what to say. The thought of walking into a hidden room with a guy she'd just met both scary and rather tempting. Though he was still a stranger, she felt a strange trust in him she couldn't quite explain. "I'd like that." she said, "It sounds cool."

Darius stood up from his seat. He tutned to face Kaela. "Could you meet me in the astronmy tower tonight at eleven? I could show you around. It'll be after hours so you'll have to be very careful not to get caught." He'd lost some of the cheerful tone and his normal, more robotic tone of voice was slowly returning.

[glow=maroon,2,300] A hushed, melodic chuckle seeped into the air from a hidden source. "Kids these days... Think they're so dark and cunning. Little creatures need to keep their wits about them in this castle. Darkness haunts every shadow..." A tall, lithe woman emerged from a hidden spot behind some shelves. Dark, silken hair cascaded over the pale woman's bared shoulders and curled to a stop at her thin waist. Her hands were gloved to her upper arms, and black cloth spilled down her body, hugging her every curve. "Don't you two look cozy?" She said in a velvety voice, her tone of feigned intrigue. "Meetings after dark are forbidden of little students like yourselves..." A seductive smirk crossed her dark red lips, and her deep red eyes glowed. "Naughty naughty, you'll get caughty... I always loved Peeves..." The woman sighe, closed her eyes, and leaned back onto the couch the boy was sitting on. "Now, which corridors would you know about? I mean, they're not all difficult to find... I knew of a small group a while back that made it a hobby of theirs to go searching out new ones every weekend... I could swear it was as if they'd had a map..." the woman said, her slight wonder crossing her face for a brief instant. "I'm Alexandria... If you want to know some real secrets of the school, just ask someone who's explored it enough to know..." Alex stood and slowly made her way back into the shadow from which she appeared. She wanted to hear the end of the conversation, so she stayed put, though completely out of sight, wondering how they'd react.[/glow]
